The first technique worked perfectly, so perfectly that as soon as i took a deep breath after doing it a few times I became emotional because I could finally take that breath without the pain. The tears caught me off guard. I guess I didn’t realize how much my costochondritis had been affecting me mentally. From the bottom of heart, thank you for this!

I had the flu for a month followed by acute bronchitis with bronchial spasms. After that I noticed a progressive chest pain that spread to my upper back and most recently my sternum in the form of a throb. I checked my blood pressure consistently and got back on meds but even with pressure together still experiencing those aches. Having come across these recommended stretches for the first time just now, and trying them, I do feel like deep breathing is easier despite the pain. Thank you so much!

It is amazing how quickly you feel the positive effects of doing this simple maneuver, I’m super thankful to you for making this video. I’ve always thought I had lung/heart problems because I’d feel intense pain in my left rib cage area and it got so bad at one point I went to the doctor and got all kinds of tests done just to be told there’s nothing wrong with me it must be a muscular thing so I was prescribed muscle relaxers. But after taking them and still feeling pain I was deeply upset. Found your video the other week tried it out and now I’m literally 100% better now! No need for pills and no more thinking I have serious chest problems. Once again thank you !!!!!!!!

This video deserves millions of views.
I was born with a funnel chest so experiencing pain in my sternum was extremely uncomfortable and the NHS in the UK would not help me and I couldn’t afford private care.
I don’t always consider self adjusting, but I gave this adjustment a try. Surprisingly it worked wonders and I was genuinely in disbelief at how many deep breaths I could take.

This helped me immediately. Been dealing with this sternum pain and discomfort since I was little. It was a due to when ran into the wall driving a go cart and I went forward and the steering wheel cushion hit my sternum and I've literally had this issue for about 22 years, ever since i've been uncomfortable and always adjusting. I didn't want to tell my mother at the time because I was embarrassed even though I was about 7 or 8 y/o. Today Holy Spirit placed it in my mind to search how to fix it. After thinking one last time how I might fix it on my own, I was giving the idea to search online. Then you popped up, it showed it was a short video, I clicked, watched and did what you said, and pop! My right side rib in the sternum and even all the way down to my right side of my back popped. The relief was instant and I'm feeling my shoulder on the same side start to release and get what feels to be more blood circulation or as if a muscle had fallen asleep for a long time and is now waking back up, is the best way I know to explain it. I thought I was going to live with this the rest of my life or that I would maybe grow out of it or just stretch I was able to do everything still but inside my mind it was always a thought that followed my and always just wished I could take that moment back. But God literally led me to you today! Of all days when i've been praying and asking Him how to fix this and that's when the chain of events that led me to you happened. Thank you Adonai and you Dr. Michael. You'll be sent my support as soon as I can. May you and your family be greatly blessed with peace and all that God has planned for your life.

I went to the doctor and say my sternum felt “stuck” and it’s been causing me chronic stress but they couldn’t figure it out. I did the first exercise and had six massive pops that my girlfriend heard from downstairs. I can take a full breath again finally! I think experiencing positive Gs every week as a pilot probably caused it but I feel so much better

I am grateful for this video. I have been having a pinch in my left rib cage, it’s worrisome for me as I just finished radiation of left breast. This video help relieved that pain. It’s still there but not nearly as bad as it had been. I am hoping with repeated use it will subside completely. Thank you for taking the time in making this.

After being unable to take a deep breath or twist my torso at all for days, I tried method 1. I didn't hear a "crack" like when you crack your knuckles, but I most definitely heard a very deep "thunk" sound, and I felt something shift in my chest. There was then a slight warmth by my rib area (didn't hurt at all, just felt warm.)
Things felt a little better instantly, but by the next day, I'd say 90% of the pain is relieved and my range of motion is almost entirely restored. I can tell now it's just a matter of the soft tissue around the rib calming down. Thanks for these techniques!

So, I've been going to a Primary Care DO for the last few years for her to manipulate my rib back in. Never once did she let me know that I could do this myself. I picked up something that I shouldn't have about 2 weeks ago and haven't been able to get in with my Dr so I went to a chiropractor. He had not heard of a rib popping but decided that it had to do with my spine so he has worked on my back twice. Never my rib. Yesterday I ended up at the ER. The Dr there of course had never heard of a rib popping out and working it back in. Thank you for this video and your help! It's so good to know that I can now do this myself and get some tried. I just sent your video to my 4 daughters who know what I have been going through.

Neither of these methods INITIALLY worked for me, they offered a little relief but I continued to rotate between both for about 15-20 min and finally arched my back and got it to pop. It’s 3 am and I’m so grateful. I’m still sore because it’s been out since 10 pm but I can finally breathe again. If it doesn’t work right away for you, keep stretching it out! So grateful. Thank you! Unfortunately I get it on both sides so I was worried that I didn’t know what side to do this on and ended up rotating back and forth.

I remember having a costo episode years ago, before I was diagnosed. I was in constant severe pain for a week and could not sleep. I hadn't heard of costochondritis at the time so I thought it was gas. Never have I had such pain. I went to a doctor. They couldn't help me, nor did they know what was wrong. However, when I bent over to tie my shoe while still on the table, I heard a pop sound. Suddenly, my pain was all gone. Years later I went to my PCP who was actually able to help me, and quickly told me what it was without hesitation. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders.

So yesterday I got so frustrated with it that I decided to search RUclips for some help and saw this video, tried it the first time and it was soo uncomfortable and painful, tried it again and it popped a little and the third time it hurt but also popped. Instantly I felt a huge relief in my chest. I went cycling with my friend and for the first time, bending over holding on the handle didn't bother me at all. I was laying on my right side for 9 months due to left side numbness caused by Thoracic Outlet Syndrome that I was addressing through stretches and postural PT. I also had a persistent cough for 8 weeks. I was also laying on a pillow because I wanted more thoracic comfort on a sunken mattress...thinking it would be harmless to my spine. I was so wrong. These 3 circumstances combined... had shifted maybe 3 of my left ribs. Felt lots of sharp pains in random areas of the left chest from the slightest movements for the past month.
