- It's been 8 since since his last release, but the brilliant Irish songwriter, Damien Rice, has now returned with My Favourite Faded Fantasy. He recently took time to talk with Kyle Meredith in a studio-to-studio interview to dive in to the ins and outs of the new record and much more.
Greatest interview I've ever heard.... It says more than 1.000 books about life & happiness. Just because Damien is such an authentic person. Very rare in this world... What a gift for us...

That’s 💯 false. After Damien did his KCRW interview, that studio called into my studio. We videotaped it on both ends. If you actually watch the two interviews, different questions, different answers.

Great interview, I really feel him thinking before he speaks. I like it.
This gives me a lot of hope. As a person and artist (I write) who replies on pain to be able to create and feel like I exist, it is very comforting to know that it is actually possible to overcome that way of thinking and learn to live in peace with the world. Damien is such a humble and authentic human being, and I think I speak for myself and most fans when I say that I am extremely happy that he had found peace in his life.

He’s so tapped into his arts connection to the intense depth of emotions...authentically so real ...it always takes me to deeper places of awareness. He shows me my shadows ...poetically so relatable it always feels personally directed. 🙏🏼
Wonderful interview! I enjoyed very much! I'm listening to I Don't Want To Change You, and while I was watering the plants, seems that they were also listening to it as well and everything around the leaves, the wind, and the elements of the nature were in tune to the song. Indeed lovely song.
