    What makes Gary Oldman's Dracula performance great is that he had so many facets to his character. He could be a brutal and cruel old vampire lord, but also a charming young man in love. You can tell that he misses mortality and regrets becoming a night creature.

      This is a white wolf, and wolves CAN also be friendly!

  • @ligmaballs2022
    @ligmaballs2022 2 месяца назад +4

    The first thing Dracula said when he commanded the white wolf sounded like 'Strygoi', which in Romanian mythology are troubled spirits who can shapeshift into animals, among other powers. Not sure if this was intentional on the writers' part to reference the strigoi-vampire connection, but if it was, then they did a great job

  • @delphidae6610
    @delphidae6610 3 года назад +97

    strigoi - romanian for troubled spirits who can basically shape-shift, and other qualities - dracula would have had command over these types of creatures - apparently they are also the origin of vampires in this culture - second word is moloi, or moroi - moloi meaning ghost-type creature, and moroi roughly meaning cousin to werewolves

    • @CollegeOfKnow
      @CollegeOfKnow 3 года назад +5

      According to Urban Dictionary, Strigoi and Moroi are the same thing, just from different areas. . I never thought about what he was saying until I saw Vampire Academy, some years later. This movie is one of the best storylines, cast, and probably several other categories.

    It's fairly obvious that he's controlling the wolf to make it friendly.
    You can disagree with me if you choose to, but it's just
    Some vampires in fiction can control other creatures minds and thoughts so that should explain it.
    But according to some animal trainers, experts and scientists, wolves can be friendly to people.
    Just like training dogs and things like that.
    Even in books and other movies, they're quite a few characters who have wolves as pets or as partners,
