The Conductor taking a bullet for the show - that man is committed to his art! :)
Dulce et decorum est pro artem mori. ;)
@@Quotenwagnerianer Gloria victis
You said it just right
🤣
Is was a paintball
The conductor laying dead through the entire performance was amazing. 😂👏🏼
This is w/o a doubt, one of the greatest themes of our time. It will outlive us all. Cheers. 🍸
Let’s be real everyone felt like a badass playing that song
Love the comment!
Oh yeah.
Clearly 🏹🎯🎩♟️🎿🏒🎲🎥🎞️🎻
Finally on stage without a conductor. He had it coming
yes, but dark glasses are necessary for the full effect.
I love that they have kept the same theme music throughout all the Bond movies. When I hear that first chord, I know I’m in for a good time.
In my opinion, it would be sacrilege to change any part of the iconic theme that belongs to MI6 Agent 007. Bond's theme will always make me feel proud to be British
I've heard of the band killing the director, but never heard of them hiring a sniper to do the job and then continuing to play music as if nothing happened! Brilliant staging!
On the contrary - quite tasteless!
@@Vinterfrid Taste is a question of personal opinion. From a perspective of artistary and entatainment, this is brilliant.
@@TheAngelOfDeath01 *artistry and *entertainment but otherwise, yes.
The one you heard of, was it Terrence Fletcher?
@@Vinterfrid Grow up. No conductors were harmed in this episode.
The commitment to lay there the whole time 😂
Without a conductor it’s insanely impressive
"Do you expect me to conduct?"
"No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die!"
Goldfinger
😅😅😅 that was good!!
Goldfinger!!!
Haha, that’s awesome. Cheerio
😂😂😂 Mr goldfinger
One thing I love about The Danish National Symphony, they go all out on their performances. Great opening.
He literally died for his art
I was lucky enough to watch it live in January 2020.
It was the last event I visited before the Covid era.
SO memorable that it was totally worth the hassel to drive almost 1000km for the concert.
This was the opening song of the concert, and the actor was so dedicted that he layed on the floor the entire song.
Kudos to u!
The real conductor came out after this song.
it's very difficult to be in any position for a length of time like that. try standing still for several minutes.
🍀 lucky you been able to watch this majestic performance. ☺️
@@miriamalvarado6477 Haha, I agree. Sadly Covid puts all concert on hold.
@@timmyzhou1 and just a few days ago I saw the ad of them performing again the wild west/GodFather concert but I’m in Az US too far although it’s like a dream.. I get tears in my eyes every time I hear then perform anything. I’m really thinking about visiting Dk. My daughter is in Samsø/Copenhegan until Dec 15th. She tells me wonders of those two places. Specially been able to drink the tap water lol. It was surprisingly good news.
So far, she in love with Denmark.
My would be a about 5K miles, with a 19hr flight with 3 stops.
🤔
Cool story bro.
What I love about this iconic performance is how the orchestra is having an absolut blast playing. What a joy to watch
Very much so.
True. Watch Andre Rieu's orchestra too. They ALWAYS have a blast. SUCH joy!!
@@PercyPruneMHDOIFandBarsI mean yeah, that’s a whole performance built around joy and the magic of music and such, many of them are obviously faking their smiles for the sake of the show. Just like here. I don’t doubt that they’re enjoying what they’re doing, but it’s pretty obvious in Andre’s shows at least that a lot is for the sake of the show.
Yeah, it's a jam session now without the conductor.
Very impressive, well done
- I play in the Danish National Symphony Orchestra
- What do you play?
- Sniper rifle
One of the cap guns at the end of For a Few Dollars More failed to go off.
We have a winner :D
Golden gun
Just in case someone sneezes, coughs or has the ringtone of the phone not muted ....
This most magnificent music has left me shaken, not stirred.
🍸
Getting rid of the conductor right off the bat is a stroke of genius. Dr. No would have totally approved. They are so freaking good.
Nooo
RIP the conductor :( gave his life for the performance :(
To my ears it sounds like they managed to recreate the original sound from the original recording. Really well done. I'm sure that took some research to get this close. I enjoyed that very much.
I agree.
Guitar solo is too soft. Way too soft.
The brass are dragging a little bit but other than that it's pretty good
Ummm....It's called playing from the musical score. It's what musicians DO!
@@remiem-iw7uk No, arrangements and the "sound" of an orchestra make a huge difference. To recreate a "sound" like they did here takes craft not just reading and playing from a score. But hey, maybe you don't hear the difference. Thats fine.
The sax player is just SO into it. He's really enjoying the music and the vibe.
Saxophonists, who are rarely allowed to play with an orchestra, are understandably a bit "jazzed" when the opportunity arises. 🎷🐝
Probably one of the most instantly recognisable pieces of music ever written !
Al igual que el tema de "Misión Imposible"
star wars theme too
@@gustavobueno8579Williams probably has written more instantly recognizable themes than any other single movie composer that I’m aware of. Star Wars, Jaws, Indiana Jones, Superman, E.T., Jurassic Park, the list goes on and on.
The second or may be first is The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra is one of the world’s best 👍👍
Muy de acuerdo contigo, esa orquesta me gusta mucho, es impecable su interpretación de los temas de Morricone en El bueno, el malo y el feo.
The Conductor's effort & enthusiasm for this piece was just so deadly!
What I have always liked with the Bond movies music is the mix of sophistication and menace...
Thank you from an Old Man 74, for a chance to go back to 1962 The Best of Bond..........
Remember Oh good another James Bond movie and somewhere Oh yeah good, another James Bond sorta movie. 69 here btw.
The Danish National Symphony Orchestra should be known way more than it is... They play everything the best.
AGREED! ✨👏🏼😎✨
the 2011 from the bbc proms is way better, give it a listen
@@James-rc6qq I did that.. And i still think this one is better. But both are good versions.
@@HowlinAndyDE agree to disagree
I'm not sure if james Bond movies would have made it to the iconic status that it holds without this MASTERPIECE. I was born in 1961 and this music makes me very homesick for my youth...
The Bond movies were unbelievably awesome for an adventurous young boy (most young girls weren't into it at that time.) but this piece was equally responsible for the franchise's success...
I hope that somewhere in the future holds another Daniel Craig and another song like Skyfall...
I can only hope...
Ya kinda forget that James bond is really quiet old ain't it
We have much to thank Monty Norman and John Barry for
@@baileyjerman5573 1962-Present if you count Dr. No-Die Another Day and Casino Royale-No Time To Die.
yeah me too Amazon bought MGM so they are all on Amazon Prime got to live and let die. Connery Brosnan the others well...
I agree. John Barry took Monty Norman's catchy tune and made it bigger than life!
One of The Best theme of cinematography to me
ONE theme has countless millions fans remembering numerous different scenes from a handful of actors playing the one same character... What a culturally rich theme this is. For me particularly, it's the tank chase scene in Goldeneye!!!
Total BAMF moment.
That is from the film series more vapid ear (the 90's). Wrong for that to be your favorite scene. Anything from Bond films after 1983 is all wrong to be your favorite. How about a scene from 'Goldfinger'?
@@hochiminhwasamass-murderer8922 I don't dislike the early movies, and I certainly respect them a lot, along with your opinion. But you need to understand Goldeneye was the one I grew up watching on a almost weekly basis. For me, it's the best one, even though I'm well aware most would disagree.
I vote for a Goldfinger scene.
JB: Who are you?
PG: My name is Pussy Galore.
JB: I must be dreaming.
My most vivid memory with this iconic theme is the original Bond and the first movie.
I kept waiting for a symphony member to liberate the dead conductor's valuables.
It would been classic.
This orchestra ALWAYS does a PERFECT REPRODUCTION of the movie theme they're "reviewing".
Amen
Exactly!
Nope. They usually make their own versions of it by slightly changing things. What you said is false.
@@sercangok523 sounded pretty damn good to me
@@carlsmith4568 But the point Sercan Gök made, is that if it does not sounds exactly (good or bad) like the original theme, then it is not a 'Perfect REproduction'.
What an incredible performance starting with the conductor being assassinated.
WHAT DRAMA
Man, actually the starting was pretty dramatic and funny. But RIP Conductor sir
Well, clearly wasn't 47. Too many witnesses.
@@Qardo 47 would've killed the conductor, taken his clothes, and conducted the concert perfectly, thus preserving the conductor's reputation. Silent Assassin rating.
People being killed funny? I beg to differ.
@@Vinterfrid They tend to be in James Bond but I would go with it being an unexpected way to get the queue from a conductor that is funny. Had they threw in fake blood etc you might have a point .
They had a lady conductor for The Good, the Bad and the Ugly. Was this her revenge for being replaced? Or she didn't want to be called a "Bond Girl"?
Without James bond there is no 007. James bond is 007
El único verdadero 007 ha sido James Bond y ningún otro llegado posteriormente.
They are a unique orchestra. If more orchestras were like this, more people would go see an orchestra.
There are, though some of them are from Japan like the navy ruclips.net/video/h_bjUI-p7m4/видео.html , the army ruclips.net/video/DaTBdDX3L7o/видео.html or the firefighters ruclips.net/video/jIrMauRyUxE/видео.html It's the main theme of Detective Conan which you can say is the equivalent of the James Bond main theme.
The Danish National Symphony is indeed incredible!
As a Dane, we are really proud of them, though they also use a Norwegian singer once in a while.
Serious musicians with a sense of humor.... luv it!
Hahahahahahaaaaaaaaa. Best orchestra. Who else would not only play every piece amazingly, but go to all the trouble to stage such relevant silliness?
Hands down the greatest theme song in the history of cinema
What's most impressive to me is not just that they performed flawlessly, but that they did so without a conductor.
If you notice, they all have an earpiece in on one side so that the conductor can direct them by microphone
Makes you wonder why they need a conductor at all.
They had to, to save the western world from Spectre.
They were syncing to the percussionist who keep time better than the rest of us mortals!
They had IEMs to keep on beat
This epic music will not die for another 1000 years.
Ngl my heart lurched when the sniper’s viewfinder ran over the guitarist’s fingers like ffs, at least let the man finish that riff before you shoot him else we perish!!! 😂 never fail to keep me at the edge of my seat!
Seriously, the DNSO is one of THE best orchestras on the planet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Delicious ... Nastygood... I am 56 years old and have been a Bond fan since I was 7!!! Thanks Mom and dad!!! Very Very Well Done!!!!!!!!!
I remember going to the theater in about 1962 to see Bond. Probably From Russia with Love
@@tommackay7433That is a damn good Bond movie.
That deserves an Absolute Vodka.!!!!!!!
Man I love this orchestra, I couldn't stop laughing every time i saw the conductor on the ground! 😆
LOL the conductor stayed dead during the whole thing. What a performance by him!
Look at all that talent...............
Never fails to get a smile. Wish I could watch them live.
This was excellent
@Paul Simonson you must be fun at parties.
@Paul Simonson As long as it was one of the stuck on their own self-importance, stick in the mud coaches, I'm fine with it...
~ Outstanding Team Work Performances ~ ❤
Let's be real everyone felt like a badass paying that song 007 Jams Bond 😊
Masterpiece of John Barry! Spectacle and immortal! When we hear james bond appears instantly!!!
Consumate professionals with a wickedly twisted sense of humour. Next level musicians to boot.
You just made a classic music hater turn into a huge fan after watching 8 of your videos in a row.
Oh man, makes me feel like a kid again. 😊
Who is watching this masterpiece in 2024??😍😍
I am
I am and loving it.
.........me and me too !
Yes, still mind blowing!
I am…huge Bond fan! Love this!!!
come on guys, don't you see it (yet)? There is a spirit of this theme, and you guys in the orchestra SEE IT CLEARLY. wow. TOP interpretation.
This is what is missing in recent bond movies.. the classic orchestrated theme song. The movie is incomplete without this
I thought that they were using this for the credits at the end.
Fantastisk tolkning av stor orkester av james Bond introt hyllning till dirigenten som skapade mystik och spänning❤
for me, this is the best ever 007 theme played!.....the best! (what an actor he is!!!)
Although the screen indicates that John Barry wrote the signature Bond Theme song, Monty Norman actually wrote and composed the "James Bond Theme" and received royalties from 1962 until his death in 2022. Norman collected around £600,000 in royalties between 1976 and 1999. John Barry, however, did make an enormous contribution to the Bond Theme song, with his stunning orchestral arrangement, and, of course, Barry went on to compose--as well as arrange--other Bond songs. And guitarist Vic Flick's electric guitar playing was also vital to the music.
I can picture myself sitting in the cinema back in the 1962, this is awesome !
The perfect prove that conductors were never needed.
Possibly the best rendition of this musical piece by any orchestra . . .
James Bond is a brutal killer, he killed the orchestra conductor, but the team was prepared already. They played fabulous.
Best known orchestra!! Love from India.
I did this with gun shot and all, a bit of drama, as entrance when called in to give Dad’ speech at my son’s wedding a week ago…fun..big JB fan…
This makes me want to watch the whole 24 movies of this franchise all over again
the fact that the conductor was hauled off stage was really thrilling
0:14 Spoiler: he was actually shot dead
One of the most iconic theme songs of all time. Its so iconic that everytime it plays youll remember james bond 007z
Danish Orchestra is....
Awesome 🎉🎉
Wow that second half rendition is just flawless
The Bond theme, so good, and they do it perfectly...again. 1st The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly, now this.
I respect the guy fell there and stayed there the whole time, didn’t move, didn’t get away, just stayed there in position the whole time.
Incredible performance, hats off to the entire orchestra
I can watch the start million times and enjoy
I've never seen musicians smiling so much!
The music is legendary tho.
Awsome!!! I turned up the volume to get every note. It is so refreshing to hear people playing actual music. ❤
Mange tusind tak fra naborlandet Sverige!
Amazing to listen to, and fun to watch 😊 thank you for the download!!
Absolutely BRILLIANT! Thank you!
This is brilliant, spectacular and so beautiful, masterpiece!!! thank you guys for such amazing 3:50 minutes of enjoying
Credit too must be given to the crew that filmed and edited this great performance. A nearly perfect little Bond film all by itself.
Enjoyed the sax player, and then it just got even better. The orchestra achieved perfect blend.
He's Hans Ulrik , an accomplished jazz musician
John Barry …. Genius . Ladies and gentlemen I would be honoured to have you play this live at every significant moment of my life .
Imagine playing dead like that for the whole song and you can’t make a move like a scratch your face or something.
Massive respect to the conductor ✊🏿✊🏿
I just love James bond music theme... It gives you the feel of suspense, thriller & action packed !
Really was a brilliant theme for the films
This is the best start to a concert ever 👍🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I LOVE this. This is my most favorite version.
I love this orchestra.Always surprising,always beautiful.
It's too funny this intro, even if I've watched it 10 times. The gasps from the audience, the Bond intro, the laughs following. Just brilliantly thought up and executed.
Would love to see an orchestra performing live and in person again. You don’t just hear the music, you also feel the music.
Words cannot express how much I love the beginning, it's so creative, hits so hard I love it so much huge congrats to everyone
Like a typical first 20 minutes of a James Bond movie 🎥 Love 💕 it👍😱
John Barry was amazing!!!
My late wife and I made every Bond movie when we were dating and after we married. The original theme in Dr. No set the standard.
That's fantastic! So did my former wife and I.
Made?
@@arunsp767 It's a South Louisiana thing I guess, meaning we went to every movie. We also call garden hoses "hose pipes."
I saw the film so long ago, and this orcherstra recreated the original sound, it is really grand.
That’s awesome!!!!! He let them do they own thing!!!!
Master piece iconic music
James Bond, alias Sean Connery, quello che, assieme alle sue indelebili colonne sonore, ha fatto la storia del cinema. Impossibile non rivedere i suoi film, da me visti e stravisti, quando li trasmettono in Tv
I knew it ! I always knew that a conductor is just for showing !
Another very controlled, professional & sublime performance by TDNSO.
They never fail to deliver...fantastic.
I've seen this movie numerous times and I simply love it, but seeing and hearing this spectacular performance of its sound track, brings it all home and completes the circle for me. This performance is amazing and is a stunning example of man's God given creativity and all that is good and all that is wholesome in man. The beauty and artistic importance of this can't be overstated. It's as immortal as man himself.
