    I think the finished product is absolutely stunning, and I look forward to making a dozen of these for my wife for this Valentine’s Day. I’ve been doing crochet for about two weeks, and just made a simple baby blanket so far, so this looks like a nice fun challenging project to take on.

    I'm making my girlfriend a pillow and wanted to accent the pillow with some roses, and this helped so much. It's my first crochet project that I actually have progressed through and I wanted to make it really special and unique for her. Thanks for giving such great and easy to follow directions

    US: Terms:
    Ch = chain
    DC = Double crochet
    St = stitch
    Slip knot, chain 66
    in the 6th CH from the hook, DC
    [Skip 2 CH, and DC in the third
    CH 2, DC in the same ST (as the previous line)] (this is a V)
    Repeat [ ] until you're at the end of the row
    CH 2 and turn around your work
    In the gap made by the V, (DC, CH 3, 2 DC)
    *skip to the next gap between the V*
    2 DC, CH 3, 2 DC
    [*skip to the next V ST*
    2 DC, CH 3, 2 DC]
    Repeat [ ] until the end of the row. A V ST is when the V is normally oriented, not upside down. Besides the initial start and the end of this row, you do not need to crochet into the gap between the V
    At the very end of the row, (meaning the gap between V's should be last), do DC, CH3, and 2 DC in the same hole.
    CH 1 and turn your work
    [7 DC (in the V)
    1 SC (in the gap between the V)
    CH 3]
    Repeat [ ] until the end of the row
    Finish off

    One of the BEST, most reliable videos that I've found. In general, this channel does beautiful videos, unlike many other channels that don't give any verbal instructions and just play wonky music. I really hate those. "Blossom Crochet" does it right, with gentle, clear verbal instructions, and videos! Thank you VERY MUCH for your kind help.

    Chain 66. Turn your work -- in the 6th stitch from the hook, put 1 dbl crochet. Skip 2 chains. Dbl crochet into the 3rd; chain 2, add 1 more dbl crochet into the same stitch. Do this to the end of the row.
    Chain 2 and turn your work. Double crochet into the ch 2 space and chain 3, add 2 more dbl crochet. 2 DC, ch3, 2 DC into each chain 2 space until the end.
    Chain 1 and turn. Into each ch 3 space, add 7 DC. In the space between the ch3, add a single crochet. Do this until you complete the row. Ch 1 and finish off leaving a long tail for sewing.

      To make it smaller reduce however much you chain by 2 per petal. Ex: if you want to remove 4 petals only chain 58 instead of 66. If you want to get rid of a whole row take out 6 petals(ch 54). I just made one so thats how ik, but i hope this helps!

    The instructions for the second row confused me at first, but I think i’ve figured it out now lol

    I'm really struggling with assembling and having the rose positioned prettily when I sew it - any tips?
