Well done!! And I could actually follow that! AMAZING! So far, I haven't been able to follow a written pattern - in crochet or sewing (though I could freehand some fairly complicated stuff. Would what you wrote out here be considered as a "written pattern?"
@@RoseA.Dewine some parts but overall probably no because written patterens use the terms more but i used the words instead and ty i tried to make it easy to follow for all ages
As Sheila Evans said love your videos and its fantastic with no music . LOVE THIS FLOWER . I made one for a doily i made. It looks great with it . THANK YOU !! 💖 from Southern Ontario Canada.
Hi, and thanks for sharing this tutorial. It's so easy to follow, and listening to you as you go really helps. Nice to know where the Olivia name came from, and a lovely tribute. I have just completed 2 of these neat flowers, and did them all white, so now need 8 more for my current project. They look beautiful.
3:48 first petal begins. Summary of petal pulling through the slip knot of petal yarn. Chain 5, half treble 7, Tunisian, single 3, chain 2, single into same, single 3, chain 5, slip. This merely aids memory, clearly doesn't substitute video.
I LOVE this beautiful flower! It looks complicated but it isn’t-your instructions are so easy to follow. This may be my most favorite crocheted flower EVER!🥰❤️ Thank you.
This is THE PRETTIEST crochet flower I've ever seen!!! And YOU are, hands down, my ABSOLUTE favorite you-tube-torialist of all time - and on ANY subject! If they ever come up with some kind of youtube awards, like The Grammy's or Oscar's?! Lol. I will definitely nominate you! Besides being THE best at teaching/showing how its done, you actually brighten my days which means a lot as I am homebound dealing with health issues and chronic pain. Crochet has become my #1 coping mechanism. I enjoy your voice and energy so much that sometimes when I'm crocheting something that i don't need to follow a video to be able to do, I will just let your videos play one after another in the background. Wayyy better than watching TV!!! I truly appreciate that you allow your kind, helpful & playful spirit come through in your tutorials! You are a breath of fresh air!!!💜💜💜
Thank you so much for the video I absolutely love it I do that sometimes I watch Spanish or Italian or whatever and I try to learn just by watching even though I don't understand a word they're saying LOL thank you though so much for your videos I love the flower
Just wanted to share my experience with this incredible pattern that is by now engraved in me brain. 😂 I made a Sunflower one of a black core with deep yellow petals, but my absolute favorite is a Water Lily: i made a solid dark green foundation and placed another one on top of it. The top part is of a yellow core with white petals. It looks incredible!!!😍 Thank you again and again, Robin! I have not been able to stop experimenting with various colours of the core and petals, my garden is growing, but not for long. All these beautiful flowers will be given away soon!💐🌺🌹🌷🌼🌻🌸💖💖💖
I will soon have a new niece named Olivia. Hopefully, she will love this flower as much as I loved making it for her. Thanks for the excellent instructions
Thank you so much for the great tutorial. I'm a beginner and only crochet for about a month now. And I just made two beautiful flowers. Probably will make a third by then I'll know the pattern by heart. So easy once you get it haha.
Hi Robin .. thank you for sharing your talents with us .. this is one of the most clear cut tutorials ever .. I'm making a stuffed sun bonnet sue for my granddaughter in Perth Australia.. i shall be making this flower for the hat .. thanks again.. lotsa love from Johannesburg South Africa xxx
Hi Robin , I was looking at your flower videos they are beautiful. I made the rose blanket my grand- daughter loves it. I wanted to ask you have a poinsettia flower video or have you ever thought about making a Christmas flower just asking. If not I will make this one it is really pretty.
I always struggle with tension in treble crochets. I always have to do every treble twice to get the tension right. The last loop left in the hook gets stretched out by the motion of the hook twisting back and fourth. I’m absolutely going to try this beautiful flower but I’ll probably use double crochets instead.
Finally got to grips with the magic ring, a very useful stitch. I do two single crochet stitches into each space at the top of the flower somehow it gives my flowers a much neater edge.
This is the prettiest flower I have ever crocheted and I'm crocheting since I'm 12 years old and I'm 56. Thank you I love this I'm doing several in different colors for a spring hat to put on my front door for spring n summer. Thanks so much.
I absolutely LOVE this!!! However, I have a project for which I need a rose. I have tried following the video you linked to that's in Spanish. I'm getting it all except for the part where I roll it together. I must be missing something! If you were able to achieve it, I would give anything for you to show us how! Pleeeze?!?
You could sew them onto a granny square? I haven't thought about turning them into squares as I quite like the curve of them but I can have a play around and see what I can come up with if I get a chance? Xx
Hi Robin, I have sort of made this! I couldn't work out for sure what you did after the final petal as there didn't seem to be any narrative. Did you ch5 then slip stitch to the first petal? Thank you
As always fab thanks for sharing but I’m wondering if you could think of a way to make this in a blanket or shawl how would you attach them? Petal to petal or chain behind the petals and link the central sections
I've only been crocheting for about a month. I made a bag that simply needs a pretty flower, wanted to buy it since I was worried I won't be able to make one. This tutorial was easy to follow, now I have made flower on my bag. Thank you
Well thank you Robin for your video tutorial and thank you Olivia for this stitch pattern 🙂.This will look pretty on my crochet hats for my great-granddaughter (she’s 5 yrs old) and my granddaughter-in-law (her step-mother).
I just watched this video and made a flower. Then I thought "What if I used this petal pattern on a larger circle and make a sunflower?" IT TOTALLY WORKS! The nice part is that the petals fall one behind and one in from of each other and it makes a beautiful thick layer around the centre! So what I did was... For the centre: Magic circle and crochet 12 dc into it. Increase 2 in each stitch doing dc(24st) Increase 2 in every other stitch doing single crochet (36) Petals: Do this exact same pattern, but a 3 chain instead of a two. It was a happy accident!
Thank you for sharing this easy to follow flower video. I enjoyed making it. I used both cotton yarn for centre and petals. Just literally finished making. Have a great day 😘🌹
Whelp I just made my first baby blanket ( first crochet anything ) and I was looking around for a flower to make and sew onto the blanket I’m going to give this a go and see what happens because these are super pretty! 🤞🏻🤞🏻
