Are you looking for a CAD of the complete intake including the sheet metal backing and fabric hood? Or are you looking for a CAD of the roller bar only?
I don't get how you a spinner to make the robot climb for the "airship" when there is no loop on the end of the rope. And in the rulebook the rope is a certain size.
hey guys this looks great, can you help me whit something, there is this rule... "Additionally, any gap between the backing material and the frame: A. must not be greater than ¼ in. (~6 mm) deep, or B. not more than 8 in. (~20 cm) wide" the gap for your ball picker looks wider than 8 inch, so i think it is against the rules or i missunderstand the rule? can you helpme pls? :)
You're mixing up a couple different rules here. Understandable, since the bumper rules are generally a source of trouble for most teams. The rule you're quoting refers to having a bumper with nothing behind it (covering a gap). If you're familiar with West Coast Drive, that's a good example of a situation where a gap would be covered by bumpers. For openings in your frame (like here for the intake), refer to rule R22 in the bumper rules section. Basically, bumpers only need to cover the corners of your robot, even if you don't have any openings in your frame. There isn't a rule saying how long an opening can be, but there needs to be at least 6 inches of bumper on either side of each corner, so that is what limits you.
While we don't even have our chassis built
Nice! What type of motor launches the balls and what is the RPMs? Thanks
The motor for the shooter is a 755 Pro. Im not sure what ratio it is on.
Would it be possible to have a copy of the CAD files for the collection device? Thank you.

What is your robot's dimensions without bumpers?

Is this team actually competing in the competition this year?
We won't be competing in any official events, but we do loan our robot to pre-rookie teams for off season events!

The rules say you can bring your own rope. It has to be FIRST-approved, but it's allowed to have loops, knots, etc.
Trent Baker oh okay good to know
how did you make the motor lock at the top of the lift?
They used a .5" ratcheting wrench.
What wheels are you using for your drivetrain?
We just used 6" hi grip wheels from AndyMark. They're the same wheels that come in the kop drivetrain.
Do the bumpers have to be a certain material and size? Thankyou!
Yes, the material and size is specified in the rule book.
Vinh Pham Thankyou!
