I wouldn't have a problem with microtransactions if they weren't so half arsed and uninspired. Weapon and character skins in general are pointless, like I couldn't care less whether my character is blue or orange yet it seems to be the centrepiece in every game's post launch design. Gears 5 is the worst for it. $750+ worth of content so far for shit that is meaningless. It costs a fiver for a flag of your country. $2.50 a day for double xp. Not only is it a complete rip off but it's just so lazy. I would happily spend an extra 10 on something worthwhile. But so many people love skins and I've never understood it so until revenue for it dries up it's gonna keep happening. Dying Light is the best game I've played for value in added content because of the content to price ratio and the creativity they put into it
