You definitely chose the right name fro your channel Dave!!! For a wet trail you don't know, riding on your own you were going pretty darn fast there dude!!! You got the skills to pay the bills!!
it would be really awesome if you were able to show what your body postion/ leg and foot position looks like when youre bombing down these trails man. LOVE the content. keep it up brotha!
Trails in that area are now closed for a couple of weeks, a cougar ran into someone's rear wheel at the Howler turnoff! The cougar followed the bikers for 20min or so afterwards...
@cruciblecustomflooring7998 Hey! Are you using it for riding? I would generally recommend the X3 over the One RS. The X3 has noticeably better audio quality and can be setup with wind screens to reduce wind noise. I didn't do a thorough test of video quality between the two, but I would bet that the X3 would also deliver better 360 footage. In terms of the One RS 4k (non-360) lens, it had good image quality, but the FOV was too narrow.
absolutely superb, fantastic, as always. to be honest: watching you (or dale or nick) doing your ride from a viewpoint behind you is most of the times even better (-;
Once again, great riding! And was that a little rabbit on the trail? Or did you have to Bunnyhop? It sounded like you saw a bunny hop on the trail, but I couldn’t see it. And when you say Bunnyhop, it could be a bike move. Either way, I’m thinking your moisture came from the hurricane way further south. We got a couple of inches here in Northern California. Although it dried as soon as it hit the ground, it is so dry here!
Dave, I'd like to suggest that you tell us more about the stolen rack, in case any of us have the same model. Such as, what rack was it, how was it secured to your vehicle, how'd they remove it, etc. Thanks
I think its mainly fire road(especially towards the top) , which is basically wide gravel paths that you can drive a vehicle up to gain access- mainly for forest rangers and emergency services
How much do you use your fork when riding such trails? Because i never used my 160mm fork more than 3/4 of the travel (hope you understand what i mean). And I dont know if i have the right settings for my fork. Hopefully someone can help me. Edit: But awesome vid as always 🔥
Maybe I missed this is a past video or even this one, but I see two different brakes - TRP for front and Shimano for back. This is something I've thought about doing. Thoughts from anyone out there?
The issue with Dave’s videos (could be only me) but the footage is horrible, and out of focus most of the time. And the quality of the video only goes up to 720p which is hideous. I watch a lot of Seth’s videos, which go way above 720p, and quality is superb since I believe he uses a GoPro for his videos, (possibly phone, camera, etc). I just hope Dave gets a better setting or a higher resolution setting for the cameras.
I get higher res playback so may be your device or connection. I love Dave's videos, but the insta360 (most 360) video distorts the edges during motion and gives me headaches unless i focus right in middle of screen. Something about the curving on the edges that gets me.
Wow... You were going so fast, on a solo ride, on a trail you don't know, in wet weather. Insane.
I was thinking the same
Well... his first name IS Dangerous, so... 🤔
@cruciblecustomflooring7998 i agree, but there are few riders skilled enough that this is an acceptable risk.
Dave's giggles when he's smashing a trail always make my day. Living live to the max and enjoying every sec of it, and letting us be part of it 😊.
*Falls off cliff*
Dave:
Hahe
The way you ride dude, makes me feel like a novice
First time I've ever seen Dave breathe hard! It happened to be while explaining a story while climbing vertical, but still counts!
Haha we’ll take what we can get. Proof that he’s mortal
that sucks about the rack but good to hear a local store stepped up and helped out!
Anything we can do to help folks get back on the trails!

Incredible riding Dave. Wow. Your skillset is next level. Awesome video!
Yes!! Another Banger of a trail and video.
Love all your videos man! So much fun watching you shred!!

That might get me going as fast as Dave was in this video!

Sick riding
The insta 360 does a great job of making you feel the slope of the trail. Great riding.
totally
yow that rack has kashima coatingggg

A rack attack rack on the back of an outback, try saying that five times fast
We just summoned a rack genie. Now what?
@@rackattack depends, how many wishes do I get?
At least they stole the rack and not the bike
Bro got different brakes

What a beautiful trail!
P.S. I think you should keep the water dropplets on; makes it look more realistic
nice footage bro!
that is a great trail
I’m always curious, what does the ride/pedal up look like? Is it just a road?
I think its mainly fire road(especially towards the top) , which is basically wide gravel paths that you can drive a vehicle up to gain access- mainly for forest rangers and emergency services
I wanna film this with a drone… that would be so fun and look so cool.
That tree at 3:28 is so pretty, could anyone tell the name? Im from europe and i've never seen that
Sweet

He broke his front brake lever in a crash and pulled the front brake off his e-bike to keep riding.
Thanks@@duncanwright301
Got me thinking, why you have front and rear brakes different?
Why do you have two different break levers?
How was the smoke?
Bro, please fix the excessive fish eye.
Haha it makes his handle bars look like they have forward sweep!
Locked to the hitch of your car? So, someone cut the hitch lock with a power tool?
It seems like almost every time I see a Subaru Outback there is a bike rack at the back of it…
They stole your rack without a bike on it?

@@lars_atx yeah i love dave's video's too, but i find theres better solutions of resizing for social media use.
i like your content it might make me start moutainbiking
:)
Is trail that narrow or it’s just a fisheye of your camera?
I don’t like fisheye effect
insta360 videos are too stable. it's like you not ride a bike across roots and rocks but fly on a drone.
