And have bags that they ONLY put luggage in for traveling and not for going to the range, transporting guns etc... and then they won't have this problem. I am all for grace and mercy but enough is enough. Anyone else getting caught just needs to be prepared to do hard time for going in these nice folk's country with guns and/or ammo. Period.
so she never said why there were bullets in her bag. IS she a hunter, etc?
They were released based on "exceptional circumstances". WTF.
Don’t go to Turks and Caicos. See how easy that was.
How can you be so careless that you leave ammunition in your luggage…especially when you’re traveling to a different country? I wish I could say I feel sorry for these people but I really don’t. All that being said, I hope they are released and learn a lesson from this.
TSA war against lotion and hair products but not bullets.
Why go there? Turks & Caicos currently is under a Level 2 travel advisory by the U.S. State Department.
Because it’s beautiful. Go ahead and vacation at Love Canal. You’d seem to enjoy that
I guess you’ve never been there. It’s beautiful and has the most gorgeous, white sand beaches in the world. It’s why so many American celebrities have second homes there.
Because it's a great vacation spot
So you see this as an issue of the country, instead of the accountability of travelers?
Do you think anyone would ever even try to take ammo into the US?
@@nancyenkelmann4552 Gosh Nancy, you’re so pleasant and tolerant.
Anybody who works in an airport or TSA knows how common ammunition is found in baggage.
There are some key elements missing from this story.
Who put the ammo there?
Where was the ammo located? ( outside or inside the luggage)
Was the luggage flagged before or after a baggage employee touched it?
What was the motive?
Who did they communicate with during the stay?
Are there any guns on the island that would actually be able to utilize the bullets?
There is too many wholes in this reporting to make an informed decision on their guilt or innocence yet the comment section is full of people jumping to conclusions smh.
So TSA didn’t catch the ammo in the bag on the way there? Sounds fishy to me.
Responsibility is such a hard thing to comprehend for her?!
It's been very interesting reading the comments regarding her situation vs. comments about the American male who did the same thing who was just released.
Yes, racism is still alive and well
@@isaywhatiwanttosay2025-4eva Right....that word really makes people itch. lol. Watching the comments, as well. Same ol', same ol'. Racism sure does seem to unite folks. smdh
So careless as to have random ammo in your luggage? SMDH
This was honest mistakes
Somebody's got to go to jail.
They cannot let everybody go.
And guess who is going to be
Too many coincidences. Are we sure they are not putting in our American citizens luggages?
I was thinking the same thing. Americans need to just away from there.
Very funny
The only comment that make sense.
Praying for grace for each of these individuals so they can return home to their families.
Why is the question???🙋🏾♂️
How did they get thru American TSA with bullets in a carry-on ?
For some reason, people use their range bag for travel also. That's just a no no.
Make sure to check your luggage carefully before you travel. Check every slot, zippered compartment, nook and cranny for anything that doesn’t belong in there. It’s your responsibility to make sure you’re traveling safely and according to the rules of any country you’re visiting.
This is sooooo strange! Why all these fools taking ammo to that island? Im sorry but its strange.
Like it’s a setup. Maybe the country is doing this to financially fine Americans. A new way of bribery 🤷🏽♀️
They probably planted it. Happens all the time.
Probably planted
They were set up
I’m shocked a Texan 😂 wasn’t apart of this group.
Did they deny the ammo?
I didn't realize it was such a common thing to own ammo, let along carry it around in luggage. What's the thinking there? I mean, there's no gun, so why are they putting ammo in their luggage at any point in time?
Loose ammo is very weird.
12 years is extreme
Quit vilifying a country for your mistake...
That sounds weird. Why would you have ammo in your bag? I will never go to that country.
Most people carry sun screen in the luggage these mofos got clips lol
The level of entitlement from Americans is astounding, I mean who travels without checking their luggage for prohibited items? It's common!!
There is no reason for ammo to be in your bag. Clean it out as soon as you get back.
Would we be lenient on a citizen of Turks and Caicos if they accidentally brought cocaine into the USA? Well, ammo is just as illegal there as cocaine is here. We have no right to expect others to accept or respect our crazy gun culture. Don't leave the Country if you aren't willing to be 100% responsible and accountable for your actions.
Are bullets just as common as tic tacs now? I really don’t get that lol …
Outta control. Two bullets? Four rounds? Hell no. Yeah, I’ll stay home as I don’t this frustration.
not going to be good for tourism
You don't get it. It's gonna INCREASE tourism worldwide. Just watch. Any place with less 'Muricans is a Paradise.
So what.Follow rules
Allowing people to carry ammo? 😂
Seriously? More like ammo was planted in each one of their bags of luggage.
Why's the ammo in their carry on bags? You would think that it would be be in the checked luggage.
Don't you clean out your bags, before traveling?
Wait so they don’t know each other ??
Why you have bullets in your suit case?
First off her foolish (A word) shouldn't have gone to Turks and Caicos Islands from the get go. Best to stay your (A word) in the United States.
There are $6500 reasons why not to carry ammunition abroad.
A reminder to triple check luggage extremely carefully before packing at home.
In 2015, TSA screeners had a 95% failure rate. So in 2017, new TSA administrator David Pekoske was appointed to fix that problem. He now admits @1:56 that "we're never going to stop everything that we want to stop". So apparently, TSA hasn't improved that much. All liquids are limited (3.4 oz), but ammunition has no limits.
That's the most overrated island in the Caribbean.
So none of them go through their luggage?
They ask you at the airport do you have any ammunition.
And that's before you leave the United States.
Guess who wants to play the victim? Now, whats crazy is they didnt see them bullets when leaving America. Or entering the country.
Stop using your range bag or ammunition bag for travel! It’s that easy and that simple. No Excuses!
Comment deleted, so let me reword it…..ammunition without a fire arm is useless, so what could be the charges?
I have no desire to travel to Europe or the middle east.
😂 it’s not located in Europe or the Middle East
They should have known… it’s their responsibility… don’t break the rules… blah blah blah. While all of those statements are absolutely true, the punishment does not fit the crime. And I for one will never go to T&C. They have the right to self govern and i have the right not to participate. I feel badly for these people who are facing 13 year sentences for what amounts to a misdemeanor.
It’s an independent nation. Not a Caribbean territory.
By the fact none of them immediately denounced that they even owned guns, then yeah, they probably each do own guns and recognized the bullets, but unknowingly brought a few to the island themselves then got caught upon departure. With that said.... there's a balance to strike between avoiding this looking like a loophole and recognizing it as an accident. Wishing the best for those involved.
