The only people who caused them to be "jacked around for over a year" is them. They are the ones who didn't get the driver's and DSP's insurance information and then submit a claim to the DSP's insurance provider. Instead, they spent over a year jacking around people who had nothing to do with the damages to their property. Even going so far as submitting a claim to an insurance company who had to bluntly tell them "The party responsible for damage to your property is not insured with us. Therefore, we must deny your claim." What did they expect from an insurance company who didn't insure them, the driver or the driver's employer? To say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us, but out of the kindness of our hearts we have determined that you were too dumb to find out who insured the person who damaged your property so we will pay because we are nice people who help out the mentally challenged when you get yourselves into a pickle." These people were the ones jacking around because the process for an insurance claim is very easy and straightforward. People with basic life skills are able to obtain insurance information from an at-fault driver and/or police report and submit an insurance claim to the at-fault driver's actual insurance. This could have been as easy as: 1. Obtain contact and insurance information for the DSP's insurer 2. Obtain copy of police report for insurance purposes 3. Submit an insurance claim to the DSP's insurer 4. The at-fault driver's insurer approves the claim and pays 5. It's over and done with This doesn't take a year. The only reason this took a year and required the media to get involved is because this couple lacks basic life skills. It's not hard to submit a valid insurance claim to an at-fault driver's insurance. What did they expect? That an insurance company that doesn't insure the party responsible for damage to do all the hard work for them or just handle it for them? The facts here are quite easy to grasp. It's not like the driver avoided telling the police their information when the police took a report. There was no reason that the couple, if they had basic life skills, could not have submitted a valid insurance claim to the DSP's insurer and there was no reason an insurance company that doesn't insure anyone involved that day had to say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us. Therefore, we must deny your claim." It was as simple as 1) obtain insurance information and/or police report, 2) submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer, 3) receive payment for damages This could have all been handled in days or at most about a month but the couple just had to keep jacking everyone around instead of just doing what they needed to do which is to submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer.

As it’s copied and pasted like a mf! A flex of sorts for anyone that sees this as a solution.
1) That couple should have a big warning sign to new drivers who don't know what they're in for once they drive onto their property. It is incumbent on that homeowner to post the proper warning sign, advising motorists of a steep angle below the car port. 2) The delivery driver, the moment he got his truck stuck in the car port, should have gotten out of the truck and taken some of the air out of the truck's tires in order to lower the height of the truck so he could back up and get out from under the car port.
Negligence has always been a flex. If they didn’t have cameras, trust that whatever happened would be spun. That’s how it’s done these days. We all know Amazon uses 3pl companies, but Amazon should be responsible for the actions of those subcontractors when Amazon's name is on the trucks and vans
I used to deliver in these Amazon vans. You aren't working for Amazon, you are working for another company contracted to deliver their goods. Fault should lie on the DSP
They can't get out of paying with it on camera like that. But at the same time, I think that $30k repair cost they're claiming is an egregious lie. That looks like maybe $3k worth of damage. They're trying to get a whole new roof out of Amazon, and that's BS.
To bring it back to original, it requires removal of bent beams. Bolts partially torn out require beam replacement due to damage. When that is needed, it causes the rest of the roof to be removed to access the structural members. The beams are firmly fastend to the support pylons which are firmly fixed to concrete. The force was transmitted through the metal pylons to the concrete thus cracking the foundation mounts. Thus, it becomes a $30K structural roof demolition followed by a full rebuild replacement which includes replacement of the cracked foundation and pylons holding up the beams which in turn holds up the roof decking and roofing shingles. That is no where near a mere 3,000 dollars in this inflation region.
They're not putting a bandaid on it to make it look nice. All the beams that were "loosened" need to be re-attached inside the wall 😅 that way it doesn't fall down later when the wind blows 🌬️
Pretty much the only reason they do that is because they lowball the drivers so it's cheaper than using USPS, FedEx or UPS even if it is of slightly lesser quality. If it was cheaper to use those couriers they would but the only way to save money on the shipping costs is by doing it themselves. It provides jobs to those who would otherwise be unemployed and it's often more reliable around the holidays since delivery couriers have a hard time keeping up with the massive amounts of stuff being ordered online around this time of year. Amazon would've already made this assessment and figured out the benefit outweighs the cost.

Therefore, we must deny your claim."
What did they expect from an insurance company who didn't insure them, the driver or the driver's employer? To say "The party responsible doesn't have an insurance policy with us, but out of the kindness of our hearts we have determined that you were too dumb to find out who insured the person who damaged your property so we will pay because we are nice people who help out the mentally challenged when you get yourselves into a pickle."
These people were the ones jacking around because the process for an insurance claim is very easy and straightforward. People with basic life skills are able to obtain insurance information from an at-fault driver and/or police report and submit an insurance claim to the at-fault driver's actual insurance. This could have been as easy as:
1. Obtain contact and insurance information for the DSP's insurer
2. Obtain copy of police report for insurance purposes
3. Submit an insurance claim to the DSP's insurer
4. The at-fault driver's insurer approves the claim and pays
5. It's over and done with
This doesn't take a year. Therefore, we must deny your claim."
It was as simple as 1) obtain insurance information and/or police report, 2) submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer, 3) receive payment for damages
This could have all been handled in days or at most about a month but the couple just had to keep jacking everyone around instead of just doing what they needed to do which is to submit an insurance claim to the proper insurer.

Omg 😳😱 that’s horrible but good to know
They can't get out of paying with it on camera like that.
All the beams that were "loosened" need to be re-attached inside the wall 😅
that way it doesn't fall down later when the wind blows 🌬️
Outsourcing, although it has increased convenience, has completely destroyed quality and service in America.
That's false. Outsourcing sometimes improves the service we have. And quite often it does.
Thank DEI
Amazon will pay for the damages! Not a problem!
$30,000.00!
The sub-contracted company will pay 50%!
Cute to assume they do that big a cut
I work for Amazon, I am a 3rd party DSP (Distribution Service Partner). The level of stupidity seen in this video is usually snuffed out within the first day on a ride along. The 3rd party company needs to be sued and the driver needs to be fired and license revoked.
That's for hiring people with out ORIENTATION AND BETTER TRAINING
Well get your lawyer, you get more than what you asked for 😂
Go Harry!!!!
Harry never miss
Rejected their claim LMAO, Amazon you aren’t a judge or jury.
I'm sick of Amazon screwing us customers and the shady drivers that look like they might come back later to "retrieve" the package.
@@A3Kr0n they are actually pretty strict on background checks for drivers, I delivered for 5 years and look mean and was cursed with a resting B face, but I’m actually a really nice person, so looks don’t matter lol
@@Familyguy830 Can't speak for Amazon, but seasonal help at UPS can get sketchy. Auxiliary driving positions are first chosen from warehouse workers who get only minimal background checks since there's plenty of surveillance in the building. Just last year a seasonal guy got caught stealing phones. UPS waited until they had enough evidence for felony theft to contact police and fire him.
@@Familyguy830your user name says otherwise 🤔 na im just kidding 😊 I have the same problem, and I'm the nicest person I know 🤗
@@samboandthemasonator ha. Yea it’s weird because I look like a cholo that’s mad dogging people all the time that’s why I always try to smile
Amazon IS responsible 100%. I would not have let the truck leave until payment was arranged.
……..no,it’s the dsp
@Gofackyamotha then why did Amazon except responsibility and payout.
@@daviddiehl-gy2sq they didn’t, the dsp owners insurance did. This happens more often than you think. And if it’s something small like a mailbox, the owner just pays for it up front.
@Gofackyamotha you better relisten to the video. Amazon even had them sign a non disclosure agreement. The DSP's insurance stated he wasn't covered by them.
As an Amazon driver myself , stuff like this happens all the time and makes me wonder do people really think before doing 😂don’t pull in a driveway where you know you won’t be able to get out! she could’ve avoided this a few different ways smh just dumb and lazy
Same as Fedex. Everyone is a ‘contractor’. Should be illegal. UPS is done right.
There are shady people in every companies
