    Even just in the comments made here, you can understand why Beninois have a lot of trouble with Nigerians because, Nigerians tend to see themselves as superior. "They are so backwards"...That attitude does not help.

    I'm a Beninese and I went to Nigeria before, I interacted with a lot of Nigerian before. In fact we have different pattern of thinking but they know that Benin is welcoming country and safe. It's bad to put on RUclips this kind of thing when black people are talking like that against another african people. Nobody can disconnect the relationship between this two country. I'm living in China right now and we don't make any differences between Africans, we're like a family here.

      It's arrogance but not of the racial type. Nigerians have always had that fucked up attitude, and they never aided the oppressors ever. They're as proud sub-Saharans as other nations in sub-Saharia or their African American counterparts. It's arrogance and a superiority complex. Nigerians pride themselves on being the money-savers, and ironically they love to scam. They treat the others like they bitch ass niggaz, until one of those Ghanaians, Guineans goes buckwild on their ass son.

    I'm not from Benin, but from Gabon. Here, in Gabon, there are two distinct types of Nigerians. The first type is the Nigerian who came to Gabon as a refugee during the Nigerian civil war. This Nigerian is usually called "biafrais". Many Biafrais children, such as our current president, were adopted by very wealthy Gabonese families, and are now fully integrated into the Gabonese society. The other type of Nigerians is commonly known as "le Nadjais" (derogatory term). This type of Nigerians is by far the worst, but also the most common. Le Nadjais is usually poor "in Gabon" (but owns a villa in Nigeria), rude, loud, aggressive, far from refined (even the educated ones), doesn't speak a word of French and couldn't care less about Gabonese culture and Gabonese way of life. Le Nadjais is often despised by the Gabonese people, including the integrated Biafrais.

Nigerian started coming to Benin since and were very wild people such way that even for a yes or no misunderstanding , they will pull out fight , 🔪 ... So for big issues strong resolutions. That's where we become really aggressive towards them too.They don't pay they rent and will pack out without notice and paid . when they are populating our country, I was for business but later they also turned in to online scams to the extend our gouvernment had to forbid them access to any cyber site . I think stories need to be told for everyone knowledgeable. When they will come operate robbery at banks in day light and kill people, how do expect us to react ??? I have good friends from Nigeria , they are Ibo. We keep our friendship well , but it's what it is people . that's my experience . I love all Africans .

    Here is my contribution from personal experience - interestingly I have lived in several African countries including North Africa and beyond. My experience in Benin, I would say, is pretty different. Of course there are several challenges that come with migration regardless the distance. One thing I have come to realize is the importance of having basic knowledge of the people's culture prior or after entering any country if you intend to stay longer than short visits. The people of Benin are easily stereotyped as unfriendly and unkind but it's so clear people of such character can be found anywhere anytime. I think Nigerians, students especially, would open doors for more opportunities if they make effort to learn how to live with the people. It can be quite a challenge considering the largest population of Nigerian schooling in Benin actually live in the "border" town area where you'd easily find people with half or zero basic education,

      If you "recognize" as you've just done, that, not only Benin nationals but also other Africans "feel intimidated" by Nigerians. Don't you therefore think the right question now to yourself will be "WHY DO OTHER AFRICANS FEEL INTIMIDATED BY US? I'm an African too, but not from Ghana nor Benin and if I was made the same question, my answer will be: Please DON'T BRING THEM HERE!! You guys are not the people you would like to live with. China didn't experience a slave trade, had been trading ideas since the opening of the silk road, has a larger labor force and sphere of influence, grabbed territory from neighboring nations, and suffered a terrible unethical red revolution. Also, the government is communist and it's inhabitants still don't experience certain freedoms of expression; Taiwan is the seat of the democratic alternative to China. What about Nigeria? It is the black African nation with the highest gdp. It has the largest entertainment industries in the region, has produced many successful people around the world, and competes on the world stage (no one will say Nigeria is irrelevant if making plans to interfere in Africa)

      @Igbomayor 8 лет назад +2

      it' have to do with stereotypes most african countries have about Nigerians. if you visit any African country and you passport said your Nigeria the next thing the will think about is how collect money from you or how the will start being aggressive toward you because the are intimidated.

    • @anitaf2145
      @anitaf2145 8 лет назад +1

      Uncultured and very disrespectful as usual. Your people who you claim are doing business are their looking for opportunity to get a better life. Same way they are all over Yorubaland and they still come in their hundreds of thousands yearly because they can't get such opportunity in their small 5 states that OYO state alone is bigger than. Note: Importation is cheaper and if you import stuff is for whose good? who do u sell to? you will make profit or not? Your comment makes no sense. learn some respect.
