Love that graffiti at 5:54 - "They know us for starting trouble": too true!
Always nice to see a roadrunner kick things off and especially when it has a nice clean unit. That first train just kept on coming and coming and even then some more. The second train had quite a bit of Steel and also the smaller Auto Parts cars. Thankfully there was enough room to eke it out and get them all moving again. SOO tore up a fair amount of double track west of Milwaukee all the way to the Twin Cities during somewhat of a recession then found out the hard way after traffic picked up and some new CP traffic was added that it was too far between sidings. Luckily the right-of-way was still there so I think they put in 6 new sightings and then lengthened almost all the others. Luckily they're in because Amtrak will be starting a second Chicago Twin Cities train in about 2 weeks
Thank you for that Great information!👍😎
Thank you Timothy for watching

Thank you Brian for watching
If the Railroads are going to keep running these ridiculously long trains, then they are going to have to build more double tracks!
Yes they are. Thank you for watching
Or just go back to 70-80 car trains

Yeah you’ll have those problems when trains get that big. I don’t the trains on the east coast/midwest, were meant to be as big as the ones in the south and on the left coast! Nice catch sir!!!

Don’t make them over a mile problem solved
Exactly!!!!
The benefits of these long trains outweigh the problems
@@cdavid8139 it’s only thing that benefits from it is corporate greed.
And quit with Precision Scheduled Railroading that will also cut down on them not fitting on the sidings
@@briankeith2205 Or...you can lengthen the few remaining sidings that need it and continue to run trains on schedule that in turn have lead to increased profitability. Over the past few years most sidings have been lengthened. Few are remaining
