When the train passed the crosssing 3 times, every time, there are "new" cars waiting. Like that kind of detail to get the video entertaining. Nice layout too.
Although I'm a Union Pacific fan and model the railroad in HO Scale, I enjoy your videos and notice we have the same interest in modeling industries. Keep the videos coming!!! Good 👍 video....
Thank you so much! UP has trackage rights on the layout so I have an excuse to run my UP locomotives! Glad you enjoy the videos and thanks again for the kind words.
Love your op vids...slow, prototypical speeds on a great looking layout! Lots of great details too like the little hedge in front of the office at 13:25!
Fantastic ops session well done all the way through the video really enjoyed. Always great to see we do 8-10 hours ops session at the club it’s a blast Thanks for sharing 😎🚂🫵TSM
Thanks 👍 glad you enjoyed the video!! We try and do a proper ops session a couple times a month. Thanks again for the comment and stay tuned for more in the near future!
That is a great layout. The detail is so nice & realistic. Great Video for would be layout enthusiasts to watch including myself in Australia in terms of a USA layout, nice...
Awesome video, as usual. I love the complex switching part of your layout with the crossover near the team track area, that section of your layout is my favorite, great job on the video, and thank you for sharing it with us. Dave B.
Great video! The first one I've watched. Could you provide an image or link to your track plan? Id like to get a sense of the entire layout. Do you have a list of "beyond the layout" industries you service? Thx in advance for your assistance.
Thank you so much! I've been meaning to get a proper looking track plan published for some time. It's in the works and I will get it out to everyone ASAP.
Very smooth. But two operating questions. First, what moves the turnouts - under-table machine or under-table manual control? Second, what do you use to uncouple? Sharp bamboo stick, a manufactured stick or magnets on a stick, other? Do you ever uncouple early, offset the heads and then push cars to the final spot?
Thanks Roger! As far as switch control, everything on the mainline has switch motors mainly because the mainline is CTC controlled by the dispatcher. All switches on the branchline are hand throw. The only exception is the switch from the mainline to the branch has a switch machine. To uncouple the cars I just use a sharp skewer. Thanks for the questions!
Hi! Yes, it’s seems logical however the local may have to spot loads and pull empties as they service each individual industry. To go pull all the empties first then come back to spot loads isn’t typically efficient especially when there is substantial distance between them. It all depends on the specific operating procedures and industry specific operations. Thanks for the comments!
Nice ops session :) And I have a couple of questions: 1.) Is that switch stand at 2:23 in front of the figure real or fake? 2.) I can't remember if I've asked this one before but, where did you get that switch stand?
@@milepost33 Thanks for telling me where you got the switch stand. Also, I didn't ask the first question properly; what I meant to ask was: Is the switch stand attached to the switch itself or is it not attached and just there for show?

I’m so glad you noticed that! Thanks for the kind words and glad you like the videos!
Good to see the steam engine at the last as saw it in the tunnel. Thank You.
Yep, getting it fired up for the next video! Stay tuned!
Great session. Your layout, and operations, are a pleasure to watch.
Thank you glad you liked it!

This video is awesome! Love switching layouts!!!
I like how you overlayed the prototypical sound of the locos at TS 11:30 as it goes by. Adds that extra "depth" element. 👍👍
Thank you Colin! Yeah I thought it made the video a little more realistic. Appreciate the kind words!
@@milepost33 welcome
I’m so jealous!!! Your layout is so sick
Thank you!!

Hi Dave! Thank you so much for the kind words and glad you enjoy the videos!
Love the model of 3751! One of these days im going to have to try getting one for myself.
That thing is awesome!! I model mostly modern equipment but I just can’t resist running the 3751!
Are we gonna get to see it run sometime? @@milepost33
@@joenewstead4848 Yes, very soon. Stay tuned!
Love the excellent detail and keep up the excellent work

@@milepost33 it's great to railfan someone's layout on RUclips
I always enjoy tagging along with the local crew. Is it possible to tone down the flange squealing noise?
Thanks for the feedback!

I noticed you include the loaded cars as you pulled the empties. Wouldn't you use less power pulling the empties then drop off the loaded cars?

Hi! Great video!!
How many industries off the layout does the team track serve??
Thank you so much! There are 8 industries on the branchline.
I really want to get my hands on a BN green SD40-2
That would be sweet!
Nice ops session :)
And I have a couple of questions:
1.) Is that switch stand at 2:23 in front of the figure real or fake?
2.) I can't remember if I've asked this one before but, where did you get that switch stand?
Thanks! So the switch stand is made by Details West and I believe I bought it from Lombard Hobbies.
@@milepost33 Thanks for telling me where you got the switch stand.
Also, I didn't ask the first question properly; what I meant to ask was: Is the switch stand attached to the switch itself or is it not attached and just there for show?
Can you do a layout tours
Yeah definitely! I have others videos on my channel that will help explain the layout and the operations. Thanks for your comment!
How about a video just on vehicles
Yeah I can do that. I'll add that in to my next video.
I call BS 12:00 to 21:00 you took 10 moves a Real railroad would have done it is 6 moves.......
This is not a real railroad! Nor am I a real railroader! 😂
@@milepost33 I thought that's what a model railroad was to be as Realistic as Possible guess I was wrong in your case.
