Love the pictures of your farm and the beautiful music to go along with it!

Such a protective Mama and herd! And they kept glaring your way long after! Very cool to witness. Your farm is one of the most beautiful on RUclips...TFS!!
A cow charging? The whole herd was coming to get you!!
How precious, 4 Highland babies on the homestead. Congrats on all your hard work. It's paying off. I always look forward to your videos. Watching you and your family work together and actually love it. Im Praying for a small homestead soon. Im 53 with 2 adult children who live here. One lives away from here and the oldest of my children passed away 2 years ago. It was both our dreams to have a place to homestead. This year I started with a memorial rose bush in his memory. I tell people, IT STARTED WITH A ROSE BUSH. I heard Justin Rhodes say, plant one thing and I did. Next I had completely planted a 15 x 20 ft garden with mine and my son's favorite vegetables. Some of it is over my head. Completely organic. Hand full of Cucumbers daily, dozens of Cherry tomatoes every week on my oldest plant. The other 15 tomatoes are all different varieties. And in full bloom. 20 jalapeno plants in full bloom and lots of lettuce ready to pick our second batch. We got our first long neck yellow squash yesterday. Now waiting for a few more ready this week and cooking a batch of fried yellow neck squash. I Can't wait to plant my fall garden. It's crazy a cucumber can grow 3 to 4 inches a day. And my watermelon Vines grow a foot or more every night. So excited. The owners of the small lot we live on were kind of skeptical about my plan for my garden but very encouraging. Omg she came over a week ago and put up her hands saying oh my, look what you've done. I thought oh no, she doesn't know about the Hobit movies. Then she said " OMG" this is right out of the Hobit movie. She loved it.
Your vegetable garden sounds amazing!
What a good momma! I love how not only momma came running but the whole herd. Then everyone had to check out the calf.
Hope you find your poultry killer !
I love how they all came to the rescue and voiced their opinion lol but the little ones no sushi comment was a show stealer!
Mama came with backup!
Jojos mojo, that was remarkable how they all came to defend ❤
he could have waited to do that instead of putting the calf and the whole herd in distress !!!
Jojos mojo drinks
I am so sorry for the loss of your geese. Your herd of cows with their babies are beautiful. Great drone footage. Ty and have a wonderful day.
I really love watching your videos.....seeing one of my favorite, "Highland cows". How beautiful your land is and seeing the children being raised right and learning. I think the first few years a child should grow up on a farm to learn all the good things of life and gentleness, patience and kindness. As well as the good book. Thank you for taking me home each time I see your videos....keep them coming.
The music and drone views are so soothing and calming. So nice. Thank you, thank you.
It's official ! You now have one herd; not to be confused with a combined herd. They all came running to the rescue. Way cool!
Congrats!
This is such a gorgeously filmed and edited video. I came back to watch it again. The pacing and the music are perfect.
Thank you for your wonderful videos - even when they show the sad parts. They are soothing to the soul and your music selections add to it.
They are all so cute. They do take care of each other and come to help. So cute. Scary, but cute.
Your farm is amazing. You care for your livestock and it shows.
I hope your much needed rain has arrived. The drone shows the mob grazing model and pastures the results. Sweden sure is beautiful. It's great to see the cattle doing the heavy lifting, mowing, trampling, fertilizing and growing your herd.
LOL That little bull kept telling you off. He's going to grow up, and it will be interesting watching his personality development.
Love those protective cows! You can see how they recognized you too but were sure giving you what for making their little man cry!
Fresh haircut? Looks good! I cannot get over how beautiful it is there and always love seeing the cattle.
So sorry about your geese. Your children are precious & your farm is lovely. You are Blessed.
It always makes me nervous as hell when a calf starts bawling like that; I know what's coming next!
C.J. Rogers Yes, probably was asleep when Simeon caught him.
i guess I'm quite off topic but do anyone know a good place to watch new series online?
@Dane Bruno lately I have been using Flixzone. You can find it on google :)
You are a very hard worker and very brave! I’m sorry for the bad happening to your farm animals. Your children are beautiful!
Beautiful video man. The entire heard of cows came running to help the mother.
Your cows are so beautiful. They look like a living version of a cave painting.
They make me think of aurochs. Awesome.
Lili Pintea-Reed
Have you ever seen highland cattle ?
I wonder how old the highland cattle breed actually is...
Never heard that expression before
Very cool
I love how the whole herd of cows came running to protect the baby.
I'm new to your channel and don't even know what i'm doing here but I'm hooked. Haha.
I'm sorry about the geese!
Looks great .. though perhaps it's time for a guard dog to look after the guard geese ?
This sounds like a winner!
I vote 'yes" on that - 2 better
a farm needs AT LEAST two dogs- probably three. The badgers, foxes, coyotes(if you have such a thing there) will all move on if they are unable to safely and peaceably raise young on that land.
Yump a guard dog or 2 🐕 would work wonders ,,,
A Very protective breed. Mom and the herd came for support.
I see why you like this breed, even though they are a bit scraggly
I notice how sheep don't protect their lambs to this extent. The way a cow will stop at nothing to attack anyone daring to touch her calf. Sheep don't go that far, and it seems like there are many more videos of ewes rejecting lambs than cows rejecting calves. Are cows just more warm hearted mothers than sheep?
The calf is just so cute. Awww he was hurt and crying from the ear tag. Poor little thing.
Great video....these ancient breeds are way more protective than the modern commercially bred breeds....also nice music...fitting the scenery.
Your son is adorable and a scene stealer. That sushi comment was the best.
Good mama!!! Lovely to see those protective instincts kicking in 😃👍
Had to laugh, it was almost as though the gals were off having a couple glasses of wine and a little visit out in the front yard, and then suddenly all heck breaks loose when somebody tries messing with one of the kids out in the backyard and mama has to put down her wine and run...with all her girlfriends dashing along behind her for backup 😂🤣
Mama was cussing you out. Even when walking away too 😂😂
Sorry about the predator issues. Badgers are nasty. I am sure you will think of a way to protect your flocks. We use an Anatolian Shepherd and a Great Pyrenees. Beautiful bull calf. Glad you are fast with the ear tag. Mom brought reinforcements to save her baby. Good herd.
I know this is a mixed German-Swedish-American family but always find it interesting the kids speak English just like someone on the west coast. That "eww...that's totally gross" would be right at home in California. :) Thanks for sharing...hopefully you can find a way to reduce the loss to the predators.
Amazing seeing this not a farm girl but I learned something here. Did you see where the whole herd came with mama that's something to me.
We had badger issues on the ranch I grew up on, but not with our poultry or geese. We had to have the game warden come out and live trap them and remove them. They kept digging big dens into the sides of our irrigation ditches and causing washouts in the wheat fields. Badgers are just a large weasel so I am not too surprised they will kill geese. Unfortunately they are also territorial and will kill just about anything they come across, whether they need it for food or not. It has got to be so discouraging to try to raise free ranging animals under these conditions. I am so sorry for your loss. Your children seem to take a healthy attitude about it and that is good. I hope this does not put too much of a financial burden on your prospects for the year. Farmers have never had it easy and are so at the mercy of many things. Try not to be discouraged, you have a beautiful farm with beautiful animals, and it is so enjoyable to see. Thank you for sharing.
We caught one badger and killed it.
I am sorry for the loss of your geese. I raise ducks and geese. I have lost several ducks in the past two years (to a bobcat), but no geese.
I love how the entire fold of cattle came to protect the calf; if only they had felt that way about your geese. I wonder how the fold became separated by the fence?
Thanks for the video.
Beautiful cattle, and a healthy baby! Man, they look fed and well bred. When the camera was up close, you get a sense of the shear size of them! Definitely pretty big, I wouldn't want to be at the other end with the charging mother and gang!
Very cool haymaker. How does the bail get wrapped? Or does it get spun?
Damn badgers. I hope you end up ridding the nuisance, or it gets a shock of a lifetime.
Loved this video update. But saddened to hear the loss again.
Hopefully better luck to come! Or rather no luck, but success all the way through.
Cheers
Very cool to see the reaction of the cows when that calf was calling for his mother. They're tough animals. And beautiful! Great drone shots in this video, the place looks gorgeous and not like you've been too badly affected by the drought that's going on at the moment. Shame about the geese.
jag flyttade för cirka 1,5 månad sedan in till en tätort efter att ha bott på landsbygden hela livet. Dina videos ger mig lugn och ro i själen!
Google Translate, from Swedish: "I moved about 1.5 months ago to a neighborhood after living in the countryside for a lifetime. Your videos give me peace and quiet in the soul!"
Beautiful sentiment, Fader Berg!
thank you!
You work so very hard for your family and farm. Wishing you happiness and good fortune always.🌻🌻🌻
you are seriously calm with all these tanks coming at you .
Such a beautiful pasture, cows, children. Bad badgers! Love your videos. Really great camera work, music!!
Thank you for sharing your life story with us! I have learned so much and to see how much you care is refreshing
That what’s farming is all about . I think you &your family are doing a great 👍 job in raising your children !!!❤️👏🇺🇸
I like the way they all turned up, mob handed, one in, all in.........lol
My, quite the protective herd! Those calves are just so darn cute tho!! I haven't seen all your videos, but do you have any dogs for protection? If the badgers continue to be a problem, a standard sized dachshund bred from reliable hunting parents, would help the problem. Or perhaps you'd like a Mammoth Donkey or a Llama, hehe
Sounds like you've had a rough year.
I hope there are many blessings to come.
Marvelous video, and the drone was just great. Kudos!
Nice music. Nice scenery.
You take a real chance when you straddle that calf...brave guy!
Your Video's you guys are just getting better. Happy Trails
nice drone footage. Sorry about the geese. I had raccoons doing my chickens in this year. I caught 3 total. I have had badgers take chickens little ones to their den without a trace, but she came back the next night. Nice bull calf! He sure was a noisy one. I've had a few of those too. :) haha
Why do I find that drone footage so relaxing? I could watch it all day. ❤️
Congratulations on your new bull.. momma didnt just come they all did. But she did slow when she got closer to you.
🌻have a beautiful day🌻
chele michele
I like how they all came to the rescue. You should put up some cameras so you know what you're dealing with.
I liked how the whole herd came to help out.
All those horns coming at you has to be pretty intimidating. LOL
Lol, that kid when seeing the dead goose, "that's gross, no sushi tonight", lol
Hahaha..the whole gang came running..
Your fields look green and tall. How is the draught impacting things? Your music is pefect; I wonder where it comes from.
Talking about it in the next video.
So sorry for the lose of your beautiful geese. Darn badger. I understand when it’s for food but when they kill just to kill it aggravates me. I know it’s nature but...
The whole herd sure came running for that calf. Which is just more proof you have an awesome herd. She did at least stop when she realized it was you. Again, good herd. Even though she gave her finale fit to say, “leave my boy be!” LOL Glad you got done and got out without harm.
TFS your beautiful farm. Always such a wonderful visit. Gods blessings be with you ~Lisa
What a beautiful farm and family. Sorry about your geese. So sad :( love ur channel..subscribed :)
Whew...you had me scared for you there...charging mamma with giant horns. I don't think you guys have to ever worry about predators messing with your cattle... lol I'm sorry about your geese :( I guess I'd reconsider clipping wings and keeping them in well enforced enclosures if badgers are an issue. You sure found a wonderful tool in that drone...making me realize it's a must for large farms.
awww those caves are so very cute :) sorry bout your loss too.
LOL you got out of there just in time. Congrats on the new calves.
Great video! Enjoyed it on Vimeo!
Great Pyrenees dogs are good for watching goats, geese, chicken and cows.
Didn't realize you had the set up for round bales. We use New Holland feeder to unroll the bales in winter.
As you do this more years, make your chores where you are putting less stress on your body. The older we get the harder it is to move, lol!! Especially in cold climates. Gates are my biggest enemy during the winter., smile!
So wonderful, always 👀 look forward to your next video.
Thanks for your videos! Hälsningar från Finland!
Durn it, what bummer on the goose.
New beauty, congrats on the lil bull calf
Those cows are some of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen , I’m partial to the Jerseys .
I have a question- the pastures on your farm- do they provide enough live grass to feed all the cattle for the entire summer? What about in winter?
As always, just beautiful footage. Congrats on the bull calf but sorry you're having predator issues with the geese. Maybe I missed this but do you primarily use your bull calves for meat or raise the best as stock bulls to sell?
Brimwood Farm meat if I remember correctly. No reason to over winter an animal unless you have to
Daemon Ember exactly. I know some farmers who raise their best bull calfs as stud stock though and they get thousands per bull.
We rent a bull. Our own we use for meat. We wil probably buy a bull in the future.
Swedish Homestead Thanks for replying. Sounds like a good plan. 😁
Isn't it great to see the herd respond to the cry of the baby...oh, the lessons we can learn...or should learn. I cried over the loss of the goose. You might begin to see an uptick of animals that will kill for no reason. Be safe. Thanks for sharing. Gale Flowers Oh, glad to know the mama cow recognized you and your voice; would hate to think of that outcome if she hadn't held back. :-I
Eddie Flowers I think it was more because he held up the baby as a shield!
Yes, more farmers are killed by cow's than by bulls.
Even the quietest cow can be dangerous for a few days after calving, in till the hormones settle down.
Your farm is so lovely but I wonder about your goose as badgers come out at night could it be a wild dog or some thing
Aww the calf is so cute! Leave um alone!!
good mamma and herd! I loved that they came and so quick.
Thanks for sharing your day! Hope you get that badger problem handled before more geese are lost.
Love the panoramic views and the music at the beginning
Beautiful cows!!! What is the breed?
So sorry about the geese. I would miss mine so much. Even in understanding the wild have to eat too.... ok but not my chickens or geese please. I lock mine in nightly, but we have no fences, they range freely.
Again, sorry for your loss and hope you will "goose" again.
Kindred spirit
That breed of bovine is the cutest thing ❤
Beautiful moment of the whole herd taking care about the calf. But it is your cattle though. What if some stranger would have done the same you did? The mom was quite a respectful toward you but what about me in the same situation?
That's an awful feeling. The goose and the charging cow. Take Care out there Simeon. Cheers!
BEAUTIFULL. ANOTHER BEAUTIFULL CALF ALSO.
Sorry about the goose and gander. Why do you believe it to be Badgers? Do they just kill for the sport of it? Look how protective the whole herd is. Nature is amazing. Thanks for making my day with the shots of your family and your cattle.
animals like wolves, badgers, etc do kill for fun from time to time especially the younger ones
Shirley J in Seattle, it would have been a weasel thirty years ago
Thanks for sharing the tagging of the calf. Enjoyed the video.
Baby highland calves are the cutest!
Her pausing as she approached is a true sign that she submits to you and trusts you. If she didn't, she wouldn't have hesitated continuing forward and possibly even goring you or striking you with her front hooves. One can tell that you work with your cattle quite a lot. A heard that's left alone too long or too often loses respect for the Handler.
I agree.
so cute. they all came to the rescue
You make such beautiful videos, the music matches perfectly! Keep it up!
love your farm and your cattle are amazing
Sorry for your lose 👍♥️
How sweet they all come running to the baby
I love the drone. Your footage is wonderful but I'm sad about your goose. 🍁😔🍁
Beautiful video. Beautiful cows.
Just living the life! Beautiful.
Are you sure that it is badgers and not something else after your livestock. I am so sorry that you are having problems and I do hope that you manage to get to the bottom of it.
Aren't badgers nocturnal?
Look like you have Scottish highland cattle?...or close to it?..
You might have a guard dog to prevent all the predators attacks... Great vid' as always !
