    You convinced me to buy one! I was looking for a flanger pedal and have always been interested in this pedal, but never realized ALL of the different things it can really do when you use it. SOLD! thanks!

    Hey thanks a lot! Nice to know I wasnt the only one with sore toes after using a Fuzz Face! As to your question...I wish the answer was yes. I had to send it back! It was a blast having it in my studio for a while though.

    Great demo dude, that pedal sounds mega... I want one to go with my MF-104 :-) I always laugh at the complaints about gear prices, we should be glad we aren't buying pro classical instruments!

    @Rhythmicons glad to hear it! I plan on buying one as soon as I can get the cash together! It's really the best chorus/flange effect I have ever used...by far. Especially on Rhodes!

    @Rhythmicons I just completely re-voiced my Rhodes about a year ago...it was a painstaking process, but I was trying to get a sound closer to Bill Evans "From Left To Right" or Mahavishnu Orchestra (with Jan Hammer on keys) "Dawn". Early model with felt hammers type of sound. I'm actually thinking about going back to my old sound though, which was a lot hotter and more Herbie Hancock-ish. Video time! Oh and about noise- the MF-108 is super noisy at long delay times. That's normal.

  • @Digiphex

    Sounds great. I play a lot with pitch mod inside the synth. This could add instant pitch mod without changing my patches. And part of the satisfaction for me is playing with something solid, luxurious and fun to look at as well.

    • @mootbooxle
      @mootbooxle  10 лет назад

      That's what I liked a lot about it - it allowed me to pitch modulate things that normally don't have that capability, such as Rhodes.

    Cool demo love my cluster flux but as I don’t get to use it live still figuring out how to have fun with it on my non gig practice time. Awesome knob tricks I guess I’ve had my hands on my guitar too much going to send a loop through this pedal and have both hands on knobs after seeing this super fun demo ✌️👊🏻

    This was a really great demo of this product - you explained it very well. I'm curious to know, the intro and outro music, is that something YOU put together yourself? It sounds great! BTW, I dig your keyboard and guitar playing. Nice work!

      Thank you so much! Yes, that’s a tune that I recorded right there in that room...Eventually I’ll get that out! The mixes of two elpees worth of tunes were the victims of a terrible hard drive crash in 2012, and this was one of them!

    Oh yeah. I look at the MIDI as a bonus. It's really not one of the "make or break" features of this pedal. It's a fun thing to have on there, but there's no way I'd try to rely on this like on a gig via MIDI. Too unstable. It's analog! Analog begs to be set by hand. It's the best way. :)

    Oh .. hahaha, Well it looks like a more modern look. Not sure if it is a different camera, probably not.
    Some older videos were in HD, but the aspect ratio looked like it had that old school vibe.
    It just looks like the old school isn't there as much as it was in the past few videos.

    There are a ton of other ones I am sure like tap tempo and pitch bend etc.. Personally, unless the pedal is out of reach I think the MIDI functions are an unrefined perk. If you run two MIDI capable pedals for example, It would be difficult to organize parameters on one controller. It's unstable, stick to direct signal. Pick up a CP-251 for any additional bells and whistles and I'm sure that will alter your desire to plug these beautiful analog designs into your computer.

  • @mootbooxle
    @mootbooxle  12 лет назад

    @Rhythmicons wow, you have a fairly early model Rhodes! Have you done the key pedestal mods? If not, I highly recommend it. It will change your life! The early ones can be pretty brutal to play otherwise. Mine is a frankenstein that I built from a '78 Suitcase which was pretty beat up, and a '79 Stage Mk I that was in MINT condition, but had no character. I am using the Suitcase preamp with an outboard power supply. The output is SUPER hot. Great idea about doing a Rhodes video.

  • @petelebu
    @petelebu 12 лет назад

    five hundred and sixty dollars for that thing?! with that money you can buy all those effects separated and still have lots of money to spare, thats just outrageous.

  • @jaikwillis
    @jaikwillis 12 лет назад

    @mootbooxie your youtube vids have helped convince me to buy a Freqbox AND a Clusterflux now. they should hook you up with a 104m so you can demo it for them. You get what these are for more than almost any other demoist & make actual musical settings. Why is that so hard for people on here?
    There has to be a way to set up a MIDI controller to make presets that could be toggled between from some kind of controller. Any ideas?

    @mootbooxle Id like to see you do a video about how you have your Rhodes tuned. I've got a '71 Suitcase that Id like to get more of that bass out of. Yours sound like it's brand new. What is your set-up here? Usually to get through the Foogers, I have to use the amp's headpones out which is pretty noisey. Are you bypassing the preamp?

    It sounds great! But why does it have a mono in - when it has stereo out? I'm considering getting one for my synth (which has stereo out, for a reason), and this fact is holding me back a little bit.

      fred flinstone
      yes, both the flanger and the chorus parts of this can do decent Leslie emulations. It won't be as good as a real Leslie or a Neo Ventilator, but using an expression pedal to vary the rate on the Clusterflux helps. An example of this would be around 2:45 of This clip
      www.dropbox.com/s/ahdursbfgjts9l2/track%2013.wav?dl=0
      My favorite way to get a Leslie sound with the Moogerfoogers is by combining the Ring Mod and Phaser and using the LFO out of the Ring Mod into the Phaser and using an expression pedal into the Ring Mod to vary the speed.
      If Hammond/Leslie sounds are your main goal, I would go another route, but since I'm playing a Farfisa I love the flexibility of the Moogerfoogers.

    • @mootbooxle
      @mootbooxle  8 лет назад +1

      I would say the determining factor is: which one suits your needs better? The MF Chorus is similar in a lot of ways, and can do a lot of things, but of course can't do the more extreme effects that this does. It's also much cheaper! If it was me, I think I'd get the MF Chorus.
