He is an extremely interesting musician because he says that for him composing has no final result. There is an unplugged part in his festival style concerts. He made such re-arrangement of the song called The immortal that one part of my brain knew that this is THAT song while the other refused to believe it. And it shows his immense talent. I don't know any other songwriter/arranger who's able show that the score might be the same but music completely different. (Regarding the hair cut ... it was a wig because he had very long blonde hair back that and that wasn't comme-il-faut for this format and he had to wear it).
I really enjoy this performance. This song is from Hua Chenyu's first album, "Quasimodo's Gift," released in 2014. Originally, Hua Chenyu wanted to name this album "Size 40," as 40 is his shoe size. He once said in an interview "I think everyone doesn't really need to have a wide world because you only have two feet of size 40. Just standing in one place is enough. Actually, you don't need to have a strong desire to achieve something specific or how things should be. Just living naturally is good, and you can be happy in any situation. Because as long as you stand here, you exist, and you are valuable." This album is like describing Hua Chenyu's own worldview, with themes of ordinary people and loneliness. He hopes to let people know through this album that everything has its ups and downs, and people must learn to accept what they consider "bad" and also learn to observe and understand the "good" within it.
This performance is from his 2022 online Mars concert. 200 million people have watched this concert live. Me too 😊. At the chinese equivalent to RUclips this concert has now over a billion views. 😮 The subbed videos on RUclips always haven't so much views. So yes, please don't judge by that. 😅 At the chinese sites his videos have hundred of millions of views. He is really amazing. I am so happy I found him 5 years ago. I am listening to his music every day since then and it never gets boring. I even flew to China last year to experience his Mars concert. It was so good. 🤯🤩 He had is 34th birthday a few days ago. February 7th. 😊 Please continue your Hua Chenyu journey.
Ashes From Fireworks is still my favourite song .. after 7 years of listen to him every day. My favourite soundtrack is the MV from his short movie Quasimodo’s Gift, 2015.
Yes, one of my favourite songs by Hua Hua. This is much softer than usual as he used a Symphony Orchestra, to do something a bit different. It's his ability to take his hits and play with how he will them to give us different takes on them. This is less Rocky than other versions of it. You mentioned picalo or flute. Hua Hua is also a flautist. So knows how to incorporate it into performances. If you go back to Singer 2018, I'd recommend "Glimmer"/"Shimmer" or "I am what I am". 😭
I am happy that you enjoyed this performance, the song definitely builds and has a great crescendo. This concert was a one-off and very different to everything else he has done, which is why I thought it was ok to insert it into your journey so far without 'disrupting' anything 😁 An interesting fact about this concert is that he decided to have no audience at all, but still put all the seats out which had a lovely symbolism. I think the concert had something like 200 million online views, which was amazing. Thank you again for doing this reaction 🥰 🌺🌺
In most cases, Hua Hua rocks out eventually...so we wait for it. 😁 Thanks for this reaction. It's not one that is seen and appreciated on You Tube often.
Yes with Hua you never know what he is going to do but it is going to be intense. One of my favorites which is hard to find is , Dad, I'm Home. So emotional. I thought it was his story because of the sheer emotion he evoked. I cried my heart out and I have seen it over and over and still I cry watching him. Later to learn it was not his personal story but he arranged or re-arranged the song. If you have not see it, ... it is well worth looking for. Just have a tissue.
Official videos of Dad i'm home are blocked. There's only one fancam left but it's a shame because you can't see his facial expressions well.ruclips.net/video/1HB7KyZR2GE/видео.html

Ashes from Fireworks is one of my most favorite songs by HuaHua, he once said that it's the song that is closest to how he feels in life. But although he really gives a masterful performnace here, I will always prefer his original more rocky/ballady version, I find it more layered, more vibrant, more emotional, it would be a cool idea to react to it one of these days and see which you prefer. 😁❤
THANK YOU!!! I did when I first had my channel because that's what I saw others do.. and not knocking them but I definitely prefer to hear a whole project and then give my thoughts! Thanks for watching with me! 🤩
In fact, this is Hua Chenyu's ten-year online concert, this song was adapted into a string version by Hua Chenyu, and the original and string versions will have different feelings after listening to them
