One of the reason that I like your videos so much is that you are showing new private pilots the great adventures that you can have by becoming a pilot, places to go and see and enjoy the fruit of your labor, most video are boring they show nothing of the capability of being a pilot, flying is not just taken off and landing who the hell wants to just do that, we want to go places and enjoy flights to places that weve never been with our love ones, flying for breakfast or lunch to different airports with friends or flying to plces to hang out over night thats the ticket for the hard work you put out in becoming a pilot. Keep those video coming.
Thats a really great synopsis of what I wanted to accomplish with this channel. I might steal your words to update our “About” section. Thanks for appreciating the videos!!
I really enjoy the videos that you guys have done. Micah, your laugh is so addictive. Makes me want to laugh with you. Mike, your expressions and the way you turn a phrase are endearing. Looks like you guys are having a great time. Flying is a passion of mine and I also enjoy taking our airplane to new and interesting places. It is fun to see you guys doing that, too, and enjoying yourselves. If you make more videos, I'll be sure to watch them.
Killer landing and short field takeoff! Loved the fear factor and suspense element. Glad you guys survived the Cedar Key runway and ghost pepper cheese!
Piece of cake. I learned on a 2200 ft dirt runway in Ma. in 1958. Privately owned "King Aviation" now East Taunton Airport . It had electrical wires on one end and 50 ft trees on the other. My problem was when I flew into a large runway I had to taxi for 2 miles to get to the FBO. LOL Not always the best,, landing on the numbers. I was wondering what you were talking about, $100 hamburgers. I been to Cedar Key on motorcycles, Great place for sea food. me and my brother (now live in Florida) and knew there was no such thing there as $100 hamburger. I never heard that expression before. We were just flying off to lunch. Also seen that Cedar Key runway. Nice video. I also flew out of FXE for about 30 odd years, 1978 - 2008.
@@blaster-zy7xx Yes I realized that after commenting. It's been a long time. I did hear that slang a time or two.I would think it is a $250.00 hamburger now. LOL
I’ve lived in cedar key my entire life. And in that 35 years, I can remember specifically at least 12 airplanes we pulled out of the marsh there or recovered from near shore. I still fly it whenever possible. Of course a 172 doesn’t require quite as much runway. I’d love to meet you guys and do some flying one day. Good videos. Fly safe.
Yeah, the landing was a littttle sketch, but we loved Cedar key so we always talk about going back. We landed with like 15 gallons of fuel so we didn’t add to the list of planes in Davie Jones locker. If you ever fly to FMY, drop us a line!
One of my first cross countries was to cedar key. There was an old lady that had a transceiver in her car that did taxi service. You’d call downwind and then this little country lady voice would say “y’all need transportation?” We said “sure” That led to the slowest 15 mph taxi ride in this woman’s sedan with the headliner hanging down to the the seafood restaurant in town. That 29 minute taxi ride from the airport to that place was still so memorable. I hope she’s still around.
I cannot believe you missed a large part of the experience. The taxi ride to town is a whole video by itself. Love Cedar Key, my first time in, there was an Aztec that had overshot the day before, still in the water at the end of the runway, that is a great visual for confidence. Love the videos, hope you get time to do more.
We should meet up! only a 30 minute flight from us at KPGD. And Cedar Key is probably #2 behind St Pete for my favorite place to fly into. I just have to really plan the weight careful for Cedar Key so I havent been back haha
This is one of the Best Vlogs of all your Vlogs that, Yes We are binging due to the lockdown. I hope that you will get back to some vlogs after this lockdown ends, sure do miss it!
Thanks so much!! This was a fun one! Unfortunately we all work in news and healthcare, so this is a bust time for us! But, thankfully I’m almost done with the next video! Thanks for watching, that’s awesome
@@7ZeroProductions Micah, you guys are a blast to watch! We will definitely make our way to Cedar Key on our next Florida adventure! Live a great Pirate Town👍 Stay Safe and Well. All the way from Maine!
Glad I came up on you guys..awesome fun watching. Run my own stuggles and fun on RUclips out of Page Field and Punta Gorda....hope to meet up someday - save flying.
Brings back memories of landing a 172 at Cedar Key and puckering so hard I think I damaged the seat. I'm uber jealous, the SR-22 is my dream sled. You got yourself a new subscriber, I'll just live vicariously through you and your 22.
I did most of my primary training on 2000’ of grass. Needless to say, short field landings were the order of the day. Most days I had to share the field with a couple of crazy crop dusters.
This was the Best Vlog! Wish you guys would start up again, What Happened? besides Covid? Been living in Port Charlotte this winter and was hoping to meet and fly. Sure do Hope 7.Zero is okay. Keep the Peace!
Haha, thanks man! And, well our plane doesn’t have the shortest landing distance in the world… she’s a needy girl. Most other single engines can do cedar key a lot easier!
We used to take the Navajo up there for lunch. My last trip there I had a passenger get sick in the back. She asked how much further and I turned around and she’s ralphing in her purse. First sick passenger I’ve had in 14 years of flying. I threw up after landing. I suspect it was the oysters.
@@7ZeroProductions ...28m. Is the airports official name .....for time I landed there I thought it was like an aircraft carrier. Lol ...now I'm used to it
Thanks to Robert Murphy and Tanner Draws for getting commends in so early on this video! Unfortunately, we had an issue and had to re-upload. Glad to have you guys watching!
Good video although I am not a big fan of music overlaying the visuals but enjoyed this all the same. I skipped some at the eatery so explain the $100 burger for me please.
BIGNIC getting a “$100 Hamburger” is an aviation slang for flying to get a hamburger... since you spend money for fuel. I’ve explained it so many times we are just gonna change the name haha
12:19 spent an hour on Sunday scrubbing the belly of my new plane to get rid of that oil and junk under it that no one pays attention to except me. Now everyone sees if you have a dirty belly:)
If you like Cuban sandwiches get the real thing in Tampa at La Segunda. You could fly into Peter O. Knight or Tampa Executive and take an Uber or taxi or possibly an FBO courtesy car. Just be careful of MacDill airspace. The $100 Cuban if you will.

Check out Cat Cay Bahamas runway. Less then half of that and we get in and out with twin engine planes.
My father used to come pick me up in his plane in Cedar Key Florida. 😊❤
LMAO when you both rode into town like cowboys on your skateboards. I held my breath more watching that than the flight!
How we don’t have broken ankles is a miracle
Cedar Key is on my list. Love the dynamics of your videos and relationship. If you ever come to KPMP I’ll pick you up for a burger. I got a Caddy. 😂
Laurie Lindsey KPMP! Busy airspace to get your PPL! And we haven’t been there yet, I’m putting that on the list for sure!
That was wicked fun!
Keep a stabilized approach including airspeed. If you keep your fundamentals spot on, you’ll have no trouble at KCDK.
Hey, good video! Thanks
It's actually a claming town. You eat clams in say new york they came from here. Oh and there is another airfield, but it's private.
You guys Crack me UP!!!
what mounts do you use for the gopros on the exterior?

I was there a few months ago
Good clean content, I like it. Keep them coming! I especially liked the "don't like the Zuck" comment haha.
Bob From Fargo haha, glad you agree! We are on a brief hiatus while I work on my pilot ratings. More to come!!
Awesome, I am currently getting ready for my instrument check-ride. Hopefully have it done in the next few weeks, then on to commercial ;)
Bob From Fargo my instrument ride is Nov 2! Best of luck to yah my man, I feel your pain

Daniel B oh great haha, I’ll call ahead and ask them to deploy the arresting cable for me
Yeah my plane is a 145 hp 172 so take offs are the issue.....so I consider it a 2 seater out of that airport
Where in Ma. is Crandland?

What cameras do you guys use? is it Gopro 4 black? thanks
Im not sure what all the talk of Cedar Key being short is all about. 2300' at sea level is a walk in tbe park for GA. Beautiful location though.

2,355 is a LONG runway in Florida
When are we going to see more videos?
What type of aircraft?
I’m still laughing. “What’s the purpose of Cedar Key?”
Well I live here half time and love the place. Hope it does not change too soon.
Safe Flights
Honestly i find it hard to believe a Cirrus needs over 2000ft + to land especially lightly loaded.
Where do i find a boosted board , cause i want one .
Haha. Nice Boosted review.
Isn’t Everglades city (X01) the shortest paced runway in FL. 2400ft
FLAPS?
Lol. This episode is turning into a ghost pepper challenge. The
Frida and Luna now that’s an idea!!

Pretty easy to land a SR22 in 1700’. By easy I mean repeatable. In a G2 GTS.
SWEET

You’re supposed to eat oysters in months that end in “r”. “Y” is close enough I guess.
Frida and Luna I try to avoid them in any month that ends with a letter or number
The oysters are farmed in controlled environment , now you don't have to worry about the correct month .
