Depends if you want it to have the screws hidden or not. If you do then I think it will be cheaper by a fair bit. But I think this product is more for speed of instalation and the knowledge required being lower, I think.
The no connectors is nice. No exposed fasteners. No extra holes in the lumber which is good. But if you're setting this on concrete, you've already got a patio. If you're setting this on crushed limestone, I don't know. Will it stay floating? Probably not.
@@evenjesuscantsaveyouanymor6163 yep, this product would be perfect for someone like me. I measure 20 times, cut once, realize I fucked up the measurement anyway....
Also lay down a concrete pad or round concrete bases on which posts stand. I have seen cheaper folks who build their deck on the gravel or have concrete poured around a wood post that will eventually rot.
The few hours are for the ground leveling. If you already have a concrete pad depending on the size, it will only take about 30-40 minutes for most new build homes back patio
The only practical use I see for this is if someone was building a patio and wanted it as a border or something of the sout same lever as the already level patio
I’m a contractor and I’ve never seen this. Me likey. Anyone install this on a Florida or warm weather pool deck? It’s awesome that it floats and water can run under it even if installed over concrete. Interesting. Florida is getting sick of the same old pavers, paint, fake brick look topper, travertine tiles, pebble deck. I’m thinking of starting a trend with something like this mixed with a good quality fake turf as the pool deck surface since they have floating turf too so it can be washed and water drains under it. Could change the whole,e look of decks and back yards and these need minimal maintenance.
I would need this despite the comments on heat and cold. I live in an apartment and I don't really like my concrete floor balcony this looks like a quick fix to that lmao 😅
The problem I’m facing is hiring someone to do all the leveling or doing it all by myself So even in this preparation, it looks like the ground must be level in order to get that deck on
$300 before tax for 4ftx4ft sections (including the deck material) ridiculously over priced imo. The company is Barrette Outdoor Living just to add to the original comment bc google popped up a ton of similar products when I searched Instadeck Outdoor Flooring System.
@@learyan I priced out my small patio 10X16.5 and it worked out to just over $3000 CDN for the premium plastic boards I would guess that would include the base all from Home Depot
Yes. I want this… does it need to be installed on concrete? Or can it go on gravel or dirt? I have so many questions but I absolutely want this. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.. where do I get this
It says dirt, gravel, sand, pavers, or concrete. I recommend putting a weed barrier under it though. It also says grass, but I wouldn't recommend that one.
You could. Take this a little bit farther and make it a really good product. The way it is now Yes, I don't believe.the clips would hold Unless you were parading, it on perfectly flat concrete. But then again, who knows, zip ties hold pretty well.
Depending on the size, but for the most part this is going to cost you WAY more than building a floating deck. 4 boards of this with base will cost you $288 on Wayfair. If you actually did a deck with size you’d end up paying way more for a not so sturdy deck. The reviews on these aren’t that great either.
I'm assuming it comes with specific boards that won't shrink due to access rain and moisture question mark because if you use normal would they will shrink a bit and I'm curious if it will still be locked in place after shrinkage.
of course they do. Just the way plastic is. Breaks down over time. Stretches and shrinks with the temperature. Like black ice with a little frost. If you can afford it. Go light color. Because you will feel the heat through any shoe. Good luck 😂
thanks for the great idea. product information would be even greater.
Fr
I'm guessing arko floors ??
A zillion dollars 😂
Went to arkofloors and they don’t sell this product
Don't see it on their website.
I very much doubt it’s going to be cheaper than traditional method.
Depends if you want it to have the screws hidden or not. If you do then I think it will be cheaper by a fair bit. But I think this product is more for speed of instalation and the knowledge required being lower, I think.
Well for me not having to deal with contractors would be a dream solution.

Don't forget to level the ground, which will take more than a few hours.
Also lay down a concrete pad or round concrete bases on which posts stand. I have seen cheaper folks who build their deck on the gravel or have concrete poured around a wood post that will eventually rot.
Yea this will still require some ground support

Yes agreed

Can you show a finished product? Do they have other flooring colors?
It's plastic and will work on application if they didn't snap or break but not sure over time due exposure to OV rays.
UV rays also!
UV rays don’t go thru wood planks. Not sure about OV rays tho
Where can you buy ?
Yeah, wonder how it works in northern climates. Wish they added a product name.
My exact thought. Anything plastic in my area will break over the winter.
Website says no availability, nice
If I could afford it I certainly would. Thank you for sharing,
How long can it hold up to a Minnesota Winter? Or above 100*F with close to 100% Humidity? Warranty & product info?
Yes, I would, where can I get additional information?

Never once seen a 'new easy decking system' be 'cheaper'. Even when made of plastic.
Absolutely! This would actually be perfect here in florida
I would need this despite the comments on heat and cold. I live in an apartment and I don't really like my concrete floor balcony this looks like a quick fix to that lmao 😅
yes cause you should improve your landlords property, instead of just using some cheap ikea runnen tiles
Yes..I would use this product. We're interested... how can we get this product??
I've seen it at homedepot, and wayfair.
How do you replace the boards/clips once they go bad?
Renter friendly 🎉
Yes, I would use it. Where can I find it? Also, would there be issues with water settling underneath ?
Okay, but how do I secure it to THE GROUND???
I believe they expect you to glide when the time comes.
If it's on the level and not too high off the ground the deck will be safe to leave as is
The problem I’m facing is hiring someone to do all the leveling or doing it all by myself

Would ice destroy the locking mechanism?
This looks like a great idea. The only thing I would wonder is what is the longevity. Heavy gauge plastic would not decay like wood.
But it would crack if you aren’t somewhere warm year round
He said cheap. Eveything is fuckingexpensive
I just looked and a 16 to 20 footer is $55 plus per plastic board
@@jimness5902 yea but you’d probably need like hundreds of those.. depends how big is your project is 🤷🏽♂️

How can i purchase this asap??

Can you use it for a portable basketball floor?
Looks very impressive and really fast. Where to get this from? Do you have any distributor in Australia?

Plastic hooks will fail after few cold winters and hot summers
because the engineers didn't think of that, just you and your big brain!

Fantastic idea, especially around a pool area. Details of where to buy? Would sell extremely well in Australia.
you will find out very soon why it’s cheaper 😁
I have read that this is waterproof, and uv of the sun exposure won't affect the color.

where can I buy some
The question is, do the Clippers break easily?
of course they do. Just the way plastic is. Breaks down over time. Stretches and shrinks with the temperature. Like black ice with a little frost. If you can afford it. Go light color. Because you will feel the heat through any shoe.
Good luck 😂
How can I get this
Not sure about the durability of plastic clips. Also, it ooks like a great place for bugs and snakes to hide.
now l need those tennis shoes and 1 year of gym to make a good legs
yes. how much is it?
Product I formation??????
How do you manage uneven surfaces/elevation changes?
This is my question what about an outdoor backyard if I got to pour a slab anyway then I don't want to use it.
ummm....you make even??? You manage it like any other project, duh
might as well build a regular deck than grade the entire area.@@cjschmitt4882
How long does that plastic last outside in weather?
Yes I will where can I get them.

What is it called. Who makes it. Where can you get it???????
Cool
Perfect for renters🤩
The ground better be perfectly level.
Great idea but it’s not cheap
I'm sure that works great on a flat, level, concrete slab.
So most patios.
I would try it.
