i use phillips hue lights.. you can set an alarm and have a "sunrise" effect any time of day. Really good if you also use blackout curtains to sleep.

That’s actually not how it works, it actually your circadian rhythm if you follow these steps it will be like sleeping outside you go to sleep early when the sun goes down and you wake up in the early morning when the sun rises. The reason you don’t have the phenomenon is because you probably are on your phone right before bed and you sleep in a dark room for 10+ hours or to an alarm and you also complain why your sleep schedule is shit

@@japs829 it could also be something called "sleep pressure". Everyone experiences it to an extent, but some more than others. It basically is the body's tendency to want to stay sleeping even if no more rest is needed. It's just an adjustment period, and some people feel sleep pressure more than others.

The improvement you get from sleep isn’t a bonus it’s basic level of optimal. That’s why I compared it to water. You don’t get a bonus from being hydrated you just perform worse if you’re dehydrated bc water is essential, same w sleep. If you hypothetically didn’t need sleep to live biology would be completely different and we can’t know what effect it would have on individuals bc the improvements in performance between sleep deprived and well rested come from the fact that sleep deprived is closer to dead.

@@skoden1313 Our cool air on our central H/A unit went bad last summer, so we just got A/C's in every room. We are lower middle-class. I have a 8,000 BTU A/C in a 110 Sq. ft. room, and combined with a box fan, it can keep my room at 68-69 degrees 24/7 in 100 degree heat. The fall and winter is better, I run the A/C fan only for white noise along with my box fan, and with zero heat coming in to my room, I can easily get it to under 60°F, and we have generally mild falls and winters. Sleeping under a thick layer of covers in a cold room is the best.

I’m an electrician by trade mostly construction but I did a small amount of time doing residential work.
I remember having this customer who was getting aircon installed. He literally fell asleep next to me in his bed whilst I was braze welding his aircon pipes together ahaha. A full blown open flame next to his feet and he slept like a baby for 30 minutes. Absolutely blew my mind.
I slept through a mortar attack once…was completely surprised to hear about it during the morning brief

I can vouch for the waking up with light especially if you install a smart bulb where it can simulate morning light. You can set it up to light at a certain hour like an alarm clock but it would start very dim and slowly work its way up to full brightness. Your body clock would kick in and you would wake up because you're not sleepy anymore and not because something disturb you.

This is so true and something that I found is it's best to have the time your asleep be divisible by 90 minutes cause a full deep and light sleep cycle is 90 mins... that way when you wake up you feel ready to literally jump out of bed, I started doing this a month ago and it's easily one of the best decision I've made, I have way more energy
But how do you know when you fall asleep? I just lay in bed for like an hour then eventually fall asleep

Europe used to use feet too in fact I was still in school when it changed over in 1995 so I use both but I still find myself converting cm to inches and feet in my head to help me understand certain distances

@@adelam8670 I'd already be sweating. Most people don't understand the actual temp compared to the temp set by you to the unit. A warm room is like 74 degrees. 68-72 degrees is universally comfortable. Hospitals literally have blood circulation rooms where it's set to 79 degrees. That's hot. Outside and inside are two different animals. 79 outside is nice. 79 inside is a Mexican sweatshop.
