    I have no medical background, but I love watching these videos for two major reasons:
    1. I am searching for discrepancies in ASMR cranial nerve exams.
    This is one of the most popular role plays in the community, and it is amazing how accurate they are.
    2. They do give me the ASMR sensation, which calms me down.
    I thank you for that, Dr. Gill.
    I did have one question:
    Why is this not something routinely done at all normal checkups? I feel this is an important thing to do every time you go in for a routine checkup.

    • @Isaharif
      @Isaharif 2 года назад +8

      If you have a problem with one of your cranial nerves (say you lost the sense of smell), it would stand out and you'd immediately go to get checked. And that's when it makes sense to do an entire check. However, if every patient that walks in gets a complete physical examination, the normal consultation time would jump from approximately 5 minutes to about 45 minutes up to an hour. That would slow everything down.

    • @testingmyaudioaddiction3452
      @testingmyaudioaddiction3452 2 года назад +3

      Teaching is quite subjective. I know there are students who do resonate with my teaching style.
      Others find it difficult to get along with. We need to try to empower our students to give feedback, which may or may not be appropriate to be a rued on. But also allow students to choose their own most appropriate path for teaching.
