You're wife is thinking, I can't believe I let you knock me up 3 times, 😭😭
LOL!
lol
Or...shut up before I knock the other half of your mustache off.
Once, you must mean.
Buddy, I see trouble in your future.....and I'm not talking about the automotive kind.
me too exactly.
.
Three cute kids.. this dude is in for it. It’s great that Kristen likes cars.
What gets me is, most people put on their A game when the video is recording. If this is her best.............oy.
I see it too.
Cause she seems like a spoiled bitch princess?
What excited me was to see a Kmart store actually still open! lol
We had a very similar experience. It ended up being a fuel bundle and hoses that VW replaced after replacing the fuel cap and other fuel system parts. Once the fuel bundle was replaced we haven’t had an issue.
Lmao with the loading happy scene cut. Hilarious.
Yes, a kinked wire can cause a voltage drop... inconsistent voltage... which could trick a sensor..
Man, I was thinking of purchasing an Atlas. This video made me change my mind. Thanks!!!
Why would you buy a german junk
@@cesarurzua8234 uh ... made in U.S.A

I'm glad you had a good experience with lemon lawing your VAG product. When they do so many lemon law claims they become really efficient at it 😂
VW should consider a mechanic holding a wrench as the badge symbol for the Atlas.Or even better include an actual atlas in the car with highlighted closest repair shops nearby
She always looks mad. It's like she's had enough of Andrew's nonsense.
She just needs a good BBC in her life.
Jay Stuart three toddlers , I would be pissed as well , stresssssssssed dafuq out !
Botox
50% of all VW's are lemons, that would make me look mad
Considering she has perfect teeth she probably wore braces and just avoided smiling a lot when younger. She sure has a beautiful smile now, keep her happy!
Sorry to hear that you lemon lawed it. I have had mine for over a year and it’s been great.
The check engine light in a VW serves as a universal friendly reminder that the engine is still in the car. Its soothing yellow glow warms the cabin and the heart, on those cold Black Forest nights.
Lol 😂 great comment.
I think your wife doesn't want her problems to be public.
Jimmy Willis I would rather people know so they don’t experience it too.
car problems? did I miss something
Kellan Larson So people don't experience an evap leak? Not much you can do about that man. Happens to every car eventually.
@@Xixu.co.6 on a brand new car with 15,000 miles? Garbage....
sykwookiee Dude new cars have problems all the time. It's a man made machine, nothing is perfect. I've seen cars with single digit miles die during test drives. Shit happens. Evap leaks are difficult to diagnose sometimes. It's 100% the dealer service department's fault in this case, it should've been fixed the first time. However, if the only thing wrong with your car is an evap leak I'd say you got a pretty damn good car. Condemning an entire company because one car had an evap leak is insanity lol
Glad you got it fixed. Volkswagen has GREAT customer service. Also the SEL Premium is badass! Get another one
I have an Atlas, I brought it in Feb 2018. Its now Jan 2019. I got 32k miles on it. Three services done, only had a USB port fall in the housing, they fixed it! No problem. Car not a lemon, no other issues.
It's hilarious that the parking brake light comes on when he sends it 😂
I have to vouch for VW, my wife also had a 2018 Atlas launch edition (purchased 2 days after it came out) and we had to take the car over 5 times to the VW dealership because it was leaking water inside by the drivers, side passenger and back seats, YES WATER! In a brand new car with less than 5k miles on it, which eventually grew mold! we were going to lemon law it but VW took care of us and bought it back and on top of that gave us an SEL in the color of our choice with NO extra money up front, my balance remained the same and so did my payments. The whole process took like 6 months from when we first took the car in but we could not be happier with our SEL Atlas, we’ve had it for a year now with 0 issues, this was our first VW and it sure won’t be our last, VW customer service is superb! We’re enjoying our Atlas for sure! 👍🏼
You realise you get these deals because you live in the US right? In Europe they would keep "fixing" it until it's out of warranty and you're screwed.
Congratulations on buying a POS instead of a Toyota.
Lehel Zelenka well it sucks for the Europeans then.
Aishik Ashraf Fuck Toyota the day I have problems I’ll just buy something else, atleast I can afford it, money is not an issue.
I'm curious. Was there a leak involving a sun roof?
So your problems weren’t with VW they were with the incompetent mechanics at your dealer. Been there done that take it to a better dealer, one that knows and understands these cars and it will all get sorted out. Ive had 5 VW’s and there always a reason as to why the CEL is on once fixed properly it wont come back on.
Those were my exact thoughts, I have a 2013 Volkswagen CC with no issues, my dealer takes excellent care of my car
@ I had a TDI Jetta 2 of them ( before the big recall scam) and never really had an issue with them.. one the wiring on driver's door broke causing intermittent window problems and they wanted $600 for it to fix it I said BS that is workmanship issue you did not give the wiring harness enough flex room to work with.. they contact HQ and then contact me and they fixed it at VW expense. No hassle it was well handled.
I work on vw‘s at my shop and I use Ross tech software to scan them. You can run the evap monitor in a few minutes to see if the evap is fixed you don’t even need to drive it to see if it’s fixed. Vw’s software makes it so easy to figure out if you fixed the problem.
Fred Beans Lol. The part when you accelerated when you saw on Atlas was funny. Your wife has a good attitude about her car being messed up.
Dude married way out of his League! Way to go!..
You know, this is one of the only lemon vw atlas RUclips videos.
Hey good for you buddy...you look the one thats had the 3 kids! Respect!!! Just got an Atlas has been a dream after 8000miles
This same exact thing happened to my ex with his brand new (at the time) 2017 Jetta. He kept getting the small evap leak code and the dealership ended up replacing basically the whole fuel system if I remember correctly. This fixed the issue, but we were driving back and forth to the dealership as often as you guys were. At least 4 or 5 times within a couple weeks.
Glad she’s back! Escalade time
I purchased a 2018 VW Atlas SEL Premium and it’s amazing!! I love it
TekneeQ Sub4Sub sorry about that
We are picking ours up in a couple days. This video freaked me out. But then every car company has lemons.
bridgett Nice and congrats!! I love the car a lot! The SEL premium is definitely a go to, panoramic sunroof, side mirror close, self parking, 360 camera, fender audio system, I can name more but I would type a page!! Have fun and enjoy your car! The turning is unbelievable
amazing and love it you can said that when it hit 100,00” miles without problems I sold a Volkswagen Jetta 2011 with 115,000 miles never had a light on the panel very reliable car but the Atlas is to new and it had problems I didn’t trust this new Atlas I got. New 2018 TOYOTA RAV4 is a léase but I hope you have good luck with your Atlas
The $500.. was that the amount they deducted for mileage?
I'm sure you never miss anything and do everything perfect at your job.
We bought one 4 runner in 07, decided to keep it and bought a second in 2017. The 07 seems more solid. Under $500 in repairs on the 07.An alternator and a torn cv boot on front halfshaft.
Lesson: Wait a few model years into a new model. Don't buy the first few model years. Much higher chance of this happening.
MrCarGuy20 or don’t buy vw
Just look at the engine and trans in the car, new models sometimes don't change those things.
Now - when new models are replacing old every two to three years - its not easy to find car that is proven out.
I recommend a Dodge Durango platform...any trim would do. I've had my RT for a year with no issues. Just took it on a 6 day trip from Pittsburgh to Bar Harbor Maine with 5 adults, 1 4 yr old and all our luggage. Plenty of room and the DVD player came in clutch for the kid. Plus I'm constantly towing my Jeep (trailer included..5500lbs) with it.
O
Even more of a lemon
I live outside Chattanooga and I am VW enthusiast I currently have a 16 golf sportwagen. No issues ever. I love the atlas. So sorry to hear you guys have had this issue over and over again. Our dealer in Chattanooga sucks as well. It’s to bad since the damn things are built here
My favorite cars are Volkswagen buy backs… they actually go back to factory technicians and are repaired. Saves approximately $12,000 on an Atlas and you still get the factory warranty.
Keep turning them in.
What about a Traverse top trim or Cadillac XT5? If it fits your budget...
Thank you for this video. We have a 2019 Altas bought in Feb. 2020 brand new. It's been in the shop 5 times (3,000 miles on it) for check engine and EPC lights. Every time they try something different and say it's fixed. At this point, I don't feel safe driving it, because a few times it has lost power when pulling out on the street....not cool, especially with kids in the car. So, unlike your mellow wife, I'm pretty irate, and no car, no matter how great looking it is, if not driving safely....NOT WORTH it! Such a bummer! Thanks for posting this....good to know what happened with yours.
Thx for the video - I was plaining in buying an Atlas Sport....
Had a similar issue on a 2008 Suzuki XL7. Was in the dealership four times. The final time they had it a week and determined it to be a tiny faulty valve on top of the carbon canister.
I really do think this was a gas cap, as crazy as it sounds. I've had this same problem with numerous German cars, C300, C350, E350, Golf GTI, Golf R, Jetta GLI, Audi A5, and many more. They all proc'd codes too. A lot of times I also noticed white smoke and or condensation after starting during these periods (moisture more than likely). The fix? Simply doing nothing, closing the gas cap gingerly, and driving. One E350 took 1750 miles to have the code disappear and it never come back. I can't really explain it, however it could be somehow related to over tightening the gas cap. I myself have a tendency to rough neck things like gas caps. I want to makes sure it closes. After reading closely that you're really supposed to listen for one click on these cars and stop, I finally started doing so, and it seems to have helped. Is the Atlas for sale anywhere, I sort of want to buy it :-).
Maybe the new phone has a kinked wire!
If it's a iPhone it definitely does!
did you tighten the gas cap on your iphone.
They have had my new jetta in the shop for 37 days so far,i passed the 30 day lemon law working on a replacement vehicle now.
My Dodge Ram had evap leak and they suggested I may not have put the gas cap on correctly. But what they didn't know was that I was still on the original tank of gas that they put in it when I bought it. So I asked to speak with my sales person they brought him over and I asked him if he knew how to put a gas cap on. So they took the truck back and fixed it. It's been pretty good to me ever since. (2007- present)
Bought GM?!?! Thanks for the laugh this morning.
You obviously annoy your wife. Might want to work more on that.
Divorce in two years or less.
Hey annoys everyone...
Not sticking the camera to her face might help.
Modern cars use a CANBUS system, any break of strands in the wiring of the car can lead to check engine lights or other warning lights. Everything today relies on very tight voltages and if they are off even a little bit, then stuff stops working and CEL lights come on.
Had mine since Oct. 2018. Awesome vehicle. No problems.
You're lucky. I got 2019 Atlas on June. Creaking sound in front. Climate control issue. etc.
The best way to pick a car is, look around on the road, and see what cars are more than 8-10 years old, and still out there in force... I ALWAYS see more 10 year old Honda Accords.. than anything else.. its says they are reliable, and cheap to keep. So Honda Pilot would be a good choice, if you don't like mini vans, Odyssey. Ive had an Odyssey, one GREAT feature is... with the seat folded down or removed, you can fit a FULL SHEET 4' x 8' sheet of plywood, or drywall in the back laying flat, with all doors closed. AMAZING ! I do all kinds of work around the house, and to have that utility, without needing to own a truck is great. Also, the Odyssey walk in design, it was pouring down rain one day, the wife and I just pushed all the kids in the side door, closed it up then she could walk around inside putting kids in car seats, and booster seats.. all from completely inside, then walk forward to her own seat up front, no need to stand outside in the rain, trying to buckle everyone in, while you're getting rained or snowed on.
RARELY will you EVER see 4 year old German cars, Mercedes, BMW, VW Audi < hahahaha.. NEVER.. maybe a 2 year old Audi...
@Mike E YEAH RIGHT....
@Mike E And I got a bridge Id like to sell you, and some swamp land, down in Florida...
My Dad was shopping for a new car many years ago. He struck up a conversation with a bank loan officer while working as a parking lot usher. Pop mentioned a couple of models, and the loan officer replied that they had repo lots full of those because when the car stopped running, the buyer stopped paying for it. Pop asked what they didn't have on the repo lot, and the banker pointed at a Studebaker Lark. Pop's Lark ran for 28 years, nearly 250k miles with three clutch replacements as the only major repairs.
That’s an excellent way to find out which car you should have bought 8-10 years ago. It’s no guarantee of anything else.
Also here in Europe the number of old BMWs and Mercs running around is pretty damn high, obviously part of this is probably that they’re cheaper, support is better and we buy more of them.
@@cjeam9199 Well, here's a video of nearly NEW BMW's going to the crusher in euro-trash. These cars look to be less than 3 years old.
You guys are lucky, I've been seeing some RUclips videos of people trying to lemon law a Mustang and they've had a hell of a time trying to get it through quickly. They get hassled so much. Get another Atlas, if VW is that easy to work with I'd give them another chance
So glad you posted this, I was considering buying a 2018 Tiguan...but after seeing this..I have some doubts.

All car manufacturer have a car or two that are lemons. I am on my 3rd vw with zero problems.
I had a 2010 vw jetta 76,000 miles zero problems then a 2014 Jetta TDI 89,000 miles zero problems.
Traded the car due to the diesel issue with the USA. I now drive a 2017 Jetta tsi 55,000 miles zero problems.
I'm a big fan of the Atlas and they seem like great cars. I think getting another may not be a bad idea. And if it's a lemon again then at least you know the process isn't a pain in the ass.
Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice...you know the rest 😛😀
@@grandjeep6367 lemons are extremely rare
No No No. Lemons occur but rare if you are not in the know or have one. I live near the Chrysler HQ. There are at least 4 large lots that I know of where very recent FCA products are parked. I'm also near one of the storage/processing lots for the recalled emission Volkswagens. There are thousands of parked cars that are not going anywhere soon.

There is never a good year with VWs. Even have Golfs have been around for 30 years and they are still full of design flaws.
I am currently working with Rahlonda too as I am lemon lawing my 2022 Taos! She is super awesome and making this process so easy. I am sorry y’all had this issue. After the buyback I plan to get a new atlas as well. Many VW’s I have owned with no issues but this one has been an issue since day one.
Seeing you race on the high way tells me everything, you drive your cars to the ground.
Even though I'm GM all the way I did enjoy driving the new Ford Explorer it had good power lots of room and good visibility all around.
I am waiting to hear if there is a permanent fix for those exhaust manifolds. If you check IIHS crash tests, the Explorer does poorly compared to other competitors.
JDS John so a crash was caused by exhaust manifolds? 🧐
Same here and even worse decision when family runs on Chevy but I did get the 2016 explorer... new Tahoes are such of boxy shape vehicles...
@@darknitelmm6245 Not exactly. When the Insurance institute did their test of the small overlap test the explorer tested poor. A rating of Poor means you have a likely hood of serious injury or death in a collision. Now onto exhaust manifolds, that is an issue that is being investigated because there's an abnormal amount of drivers/passengers feeling ill from exhaust gasses entering the cabin. The culp has been the exhaust manifolds, but there's an investigation into how, why, and a possible solution. I believe Ford will supply you with a carbon monoxide detector if you request from the dealer/Corporate. As cool as they look, i cannot put my family in harms way.

Went through the Lemon law process with a Dodge truck years back. The offers they made were ludicrous. Got a lawyer and it went to court. The Judge seemed pissed he had to hear the case and came down on Dodge hard. They ended up paying lawyer fees and about 3 grand more than their highest offer. I had planned on getting another Dodge but in the final offer before the hearing they gave me the opportunity to purchase a new truck at factory invoice. After getting spanked by the Judge they rescinded the offer even though I had a document saying it was a compensatory offer due to what I had to go through with the Lemon Law process ? Nothing to do with the Lemon Law action.

I went through this five years ago. The process took about a year. I spoke with a new person each time who had no idea what was going on. I had to contact an attorney. It was horrible. My sympathies to you both.
VW’s suck. They come with the engine light on as standard equipment 😂😂
That's pretty funny. Sometimes you get lucky with a VW.... Once in a while they'll make a model that's worth buying but it's still a crap shoot. Apparently people that buy them are also into casinos.

I absolutely vote that you should go with another Atlas, great vehicle and actually very reliable. Don’t let one bad apple turn you off for the whole line.
Many people regurgitate and say its crap, but ignore that the tranny is made by Aisin ( Toyota ) and a VR6 Engine, that's time tested with little problems.

I have known vw has problems on their cars in US. So I played smart by bought a lease return Passat back in 2013. Since it was the 2nd year they had production line in America and still new to making vw In here. I don’t want to be a test driver. So I bought a year old lease return car with 5k less than new car price from dealer plus somebody has been basically test it for a year. By that time, if the car is good, it is safer to buy. I got it, it runs great no problems and I pretty much have a new car with less money. Still have bumper to bumper warranty from vw, free oil change stuff, Very happy. V5 engine very powerful with 25 mpg. Love it!!! I strongly recommend everyone use this strategy on cars. Never spend money on new cars just pick lease return one. So it’s been tested and you spend less money. Always a good deal
This little light of mine 🎶 I'm gonna let it shine🎶 I chased P0456, P0440, and other evap codes on a much older, simpler car out of warranty. It was a real pain. Also, gas caps rarely cause small leak codes. Gas caps usually cause a gross or large leak code. P0456 is almost always a split hose or loose hose connection, or a leaky or inconsistent purge or vent solenoid buried up in the chassis or engine bay somewhere. The OBDII system is almost never wrong. If it says there's a leak, there's most likely a leak.

That means Toyota sold MORE Rav4 then ALL VW vehicles combined. Add up EVERY single VW with all the models together, EVERY single VW! Toyota out sold them with the Rav4 ALONE!!!! LOL Think about that!!! EVERY single VW sold added together is less than JUST the Rav4!!!! Ya, we will enjoy our Toyota's and when your broke down on the side of the road we will not forget to wave to you!!
@@tomthorn2887 my Touareg went over 200,000 miles with no issues. Keep looking for VW threads to troll on buddy. Lol!
@@jahonlouie LOL That's why Toyota sold more Rav4's last year then ALL V.W. automobiles combined!! LOL When you do stuff like getting caught with defeat software in your car to rig it to pass tests because their motors suck you have a problem!! Look up the recalls for those pathetic cars!! LOL How many millions of dollars was it VW had to pay when they got busted? How many millions of dollars was it? LOL
Try a Lincoln Navigator
Bill Phillips best suv out currently
It's an awesome car, but it is 3 times The price of an Atlas...
The Lincoln Navigator IS NOT the best SUV!!!
I had the same issue with a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Summit. It was in the shop six times. They ran the smoke test through the system and couldn't find an issue. They replaced everything from under the hood to replacing my gas tank. Come to find out, it was a sensor within the fuel tank. Three years later with no more problems with the check engine light. However, I have had other issues with the Jeep. Dang! I was starting to look for a new SUV and was thinking about the Atlas. I don't think so now.
I think You should buy a Jeep Grand Cherokee I have an 07 with a lot of miles and drives great and I love it also you see older ones always on the road plus lots of trunk space
