And overtime shouldn’t even be accounted for in the budget. Where there’s a will there’s a way. And It’s very easy to separate overtime from regular time if it came down to it. No taxes on overtime wouldn't cost the government anything. If a worker didn't work overtime the government doesn't get paid. Example; "Currently, I work 40 hours a week. I pay my taxes on those 40 hours. if i so happened to work 60 hours the government would get extra money because I would have to pay taxes on that overtime. But since I didn't work overtime in my 40 hours. The government gets 40 hours of of taxable income."
