    I haven’t scrolled through the comments yet but where’s the guy that only plays the balls he finds. He’s so much smarter than the rest of because we aren’t good enough to be paying for quality balls. I love that guy.

    James I hope hope your math is more accurate when you add up your shots. In my book, 6 balls you lost at £4.00 pounds is £24.00,
    not £32.00. Still great content, keep it up.

    James when is your video coming up of the next 100 golf course been waiting all day yesterday for it and you never put it up we all look forward to these videos and you need to tell us all what and which courses didn't want you filming you said you where going to let us know and you haven't for the last 2 weeks you have been saying this and it's getting frustrating and when are we having Bobby back filming.as we miss him and tell us in your videos what goodies food wise you have in your bag and also you talk to quick can you let Chris get words in and there is way to much advertising in your top 100 you need to tone it down just say it at the end of the round not every time you take a shot or when walking down the fairway

    If I'm playing a ball that doesn't use urethane, I'm using MaxFli's...
    Factory balanced, and $1/ball...
    There's zero chance that I'm playing these alibaba BS over a $1/ball Kirkland 3-piece urethane...

    • @grahamjones4720
      @grahamjones4720 3 месяца назад

      I agree but, if you are a new player or a really high handy cap player who loses 5+ balls a game these might be worth it

    • @vintageswiss9096
      @vintageswiss9096 3 месяца назад

      @grahamjones4720 bro, they are $0.40 less per ball than a 3-piece urethane Kirkland...
      Forty cents. We aren't talking Titleist prices here...
      A new player would save more money/shots by playing a predictable quality budget ball instead of these rocks.

    "that's my pitchmark from the other day..."
    a) you're not much good at repairing them!
    b) no wonder the greenkeepers keep giving you difficult pins!
    And finally, I'd be very pissed off if I was looking for my ball and found one of those!!! 😅😅😅

    If you loose plenty you don’t have to worry about durability. But I play Prov1x for performance and they are durable. 36 holes no worries. Secret to saving. Money on balls. Win pin shots

    I am so fed up with the amount of ball snobbery in the world of golf. For most social rounds I play Slazenger v300’s, £28 for 48 from Sports Direct. I play off 12 and I find the V300’s are soft enough and hit it far enough and I average about 31 putts a round. So I lose about 5-10 yards on a drive. But can I spin it back 30 feet even with a ProV1? No. But can you? Really? More importantly, when I lose one, as we all do, often several around, I lose 58p not £4. So please, carry on insisting your game is SO much better with a ProV1 or a TP5. Good on you. Meanwhile, I will be getting bevvied in the 19th on the cash I am saving.

    Hey!!! A lot will come down to cost, look, I’m an above average golfer, (in my head, lol), I live in Spain, early retirement, I play a number of different courses, and there’s one particular course, you could be playing well, hit a few off line, and lose 5 balls a round, this is where I use basically balls I’ve found that are decent balls but not my ball of choice……

  • @robertchilton7334
    @robertchilton7334 3 месяца назад

    Question was, "How good do you have to be to see a difference?". My answer better than me. Unless it's a super cheap golf ball like a Nitro I can't tell the difference. My favorite cheap golf ball of all time was the TopFlight Z balata.

  • @grahamfox7568
    @grahamfox7568 3 месяца назад

    I looked on temu, they are £7 for 3 not £7 for 12. The add appears to show for 12 but when you add them to cart it asks you to select 3,6 or 12 balls for 7,15 and 21 pound respectively. I still say buy a £12 UV light and spend a half hour at the end of the day looking for balls. Even better use child labour. I took my grandson looking for balls paying him 20p per ball. He had great fun fishing them from the lakes and later using the torch. He made some easy extra money got some exercise and fresh air and I got around 50 balls, keeping the premium ones and giving the rest to friends. All for the price of 4 of these "cheap" balls.

    At my skill level, I lose golf balls, I would much rather pay $20 for a dozen that $50 but thankfully even the big names have inexpensive balls you can use, I used budget TaylorMade or Callaway balls.

  • @AllTradesGeorge
    @AllTradesGeorge 3 месяца назад

    I'm not consistent enough to capitalize on the claimed properties of high-end premium golf balls. I get roughly the same results from Taylormade Super Speed balls as I get from the ProV1, at anywhere between 50-66% of the price. I'm not saying that the ball doesn't matter, because I get better, more consistent results from TMs Distance+ or Super Speed than I get from Nitro balls...but there comes a point where you're paying far too much for a miniscule improvement in performance. It may make a difference if you're a consistent scratch golfer or better, but for the average golfer, you're paying for the prestige of the name on the ball and not getting a significant benefit for the money.

    It comes down if you lose balls or not. I play ProV1s and they last a very long time. I’m a pretty straight hitter and love the feel and durability. If you lose a lot of balls or can’t tell the difference between various balls buy the bargain brands. P

    Good for you guys informing people that the ball is not everything if you are not a pro and there is a balance between how much you spend and how much you enjoy.
    Personally started gaming the Kirklands last summer for club matches and knock outs as when you have a free hit or hero shot you do not worry so much about losing them. This year I have even starterd gaming them as my medal ball, just because I have got used to them and have been scoring really well in the last 3 comps !

    Used them most of the winter as they’re dirt cheap and perform well based on Gaz’ recommendation. Not great feeling, but well worth stocking up on for when spin isn’t important and you might lose a few in the fairway as well as in the rough. Will be using again.
