Ooh hey! I live in Alaska, super excited to see this video and good luck on your trip! Biggest tips I have - dress in layers! We're transitioning into fall, and the weather (where I am at least) flip flops a TON between sun and rain. Also, on a cruise, prepare for wind. The weather can also be unpredictable, it might be the complete opposite from the forecast (but still look at the forecast!) A lot of people in Alaska dress pretty casually. For example, I work in a business casual office and regularly wear flannel and jeans, and no one has said anything haha. Especially in the cities that you're visiting.
The forecast says it's going to rain basically every day we are in port, so I'm prepared to be soaked, but hoping for the best 😭😂 Thanks so much for watching 🥰
I’m thinking with the clothes you packed you may be a little bit cold on the cruise. Will be curious to watch a video of after the cruise on your choices of clothing. Other than that thanks for sharing your video..
You are probably back home now, but I think you don’t need the dresses. Coming from Hawaii you will be cold. I’m from Hawaii and live in Alaska. I’ve been on an Alaska cruise in August. Very cold and windy and you will be out in the elements, often with rain as well. You will not wear the shorts except in your room. I’m curious to see a recap of your trip and what worked and what didn’t.
All the time when you’re adding extra black tee shirts, I’m wondering why not pack a long sleeved shirt? I see them in your closet. We did this trip in July, but a regular shirt looks good and feels like a light jacket, especially in the fall.
I actually did pack one long sleeve black shirt, but it was one of those "blink and you missed it" kind of moments in the video, haha. I am second guessing myself though (I haven't left yet) and I'm thinking I should add another long sleeve shirt just to be safe. Thanks so much for watching! 🥰
My cruise was September 11-18, 2023 on Royal Caribbean Quantum of the Seas. Inside the ship was kept a comfortable temperature. Most of the ports, (Sikta, Juneau, Victoria) were comfortably cool. Icy Straight Point was pouring rain and freezing. Mind you, I’m from Hawaii, so do with that what you will with regards to my “freezing” threshold. 😆
