Wow, that was incredible. A once in a lifetime moment. Just... wow. The only reason I didn't like the lady flipping out was because I was afraid she might scare the whales off. 1: whales dont "startle" like a cat with a cucumber, they are behemoths of the ocean, they arent exactly scared by lil floating mammals. 2: whales communicate at frequencies that can turn your whole body numb, I doubt they are frightened by the puny decibels humans can put out there. 3: If those ppl bothered them theyd just leave.
+Melvin Johnson I am sure that these whales have seen humans using harpoons to kill other whales. These gigantic creatures, who know that they have to power to mash up the boat and kill humans with one swipe of their tails, approached the boat to be petted and to communicate with puny humans.

@@NB-bj6bf in the Baja Peninsula, the gray whales are known for seeking out these encounters with the small boats. They seem to thrive off the encounters as much as the people do, as is evidenced by the behavior of the mother whale. The encounters have been in the thousands, and so far as I can recall, I believe there may have been maybe one instance where the mother had become upset, and I think it may have been because the boat came between the mother and the calf. Otherwise, the whales seem to understand the exuberance expressed by the people. Hence this mother has deliberately brought her baby to them in order to show off her calf!

these people need to stop screaming and shrieking, the whale can easily spook and grab an arm and pull them into the water, or overturn the boat, thinking its being attacked, I wd be a LOT quieter, to respect the moment and the creature....
That's what I was thinking too. Just STFU and be happy to enjoy this great moment. :)
Whales don't scare they save people
@@vitoparedes95 i wd not count on any whale saving me unless my name was Noah...
Exsactly!
That woman’s voice is actually giving me anxiety.
These kids will never forget this.
WOW! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS VIDEO! The girl is hilarious too. The mother whale showing off her baby like us humans do. PRICELESS!
this is awesome I am jealous.
I think the mom wanted her calf to see the humans just like the humans wanted to see the whale
This is more spiritual than going to church.
Agreed!
I couldn't agree with you more.
Indeed!!!
MAYBE u should change churches. Awe inspiring YES!

I am sure that these whales have seen humans using harpoons to kill other whales. In spite of this, God has placed in the hearts of "savage" beasts the desire to know humans, even the desire to be in submission to humans.
These gigantic creatures, who know that they have to power to mash up the boat and kill humans with one swipe of their tails, approached the boat to be petted and to communicate with puny humans.
someone needs to edit the annoying female voice out of that beautiful encounter. It would be good if everyone just watched this incredible gift of nature, but I can understand being so joyous that you would want to touch the whales. Just wonderful and a once in a lifetime experience.
i never say this but, please overlay music next time. that lady is just wow.
I am so jealous of these people for having this great experience.
That was absolutely beautiful, except for all the screaming
I bet these people weren't expecting this great of a whale watching experience.
I'm I the only one that found the peoples behavior disturbing ?
NOPE, UR NOT ALONE, THE WHALES SHOULD HAVE MADE A GOOD LUNCH OUT OF THOES PPL.
@@MrAsatryanMR Whales don't eat meat. Except for orcas.
Nature and it´s fantastic inhabitants are really reaching out to us to join them in a different kinder sort of world...
I love it when animals show off their babies to humans. Like look at this cuteness hooman.
What I would give to see an encounter like that...but IN THE WILD, NOT at an aquarium. To see that would simply put me in a state of shock and euphoria at the same time. I must make plans to go to where they are to see them up close. It's worth the thousands of £ that I'll probably have to spend but it would be worth every pence spent. = )
I agree, it would be an incredible honor to witness something like this. =)
They don’t keep these whales in captivity
They are in the wild.
I love this and I love whales!
Meanwhile the guys in the other boat are sitting in their boat extra jelly.
Emocionante!!!! esto demuestra como podemos convivir en paz con las demas especies!0:55 que risa me causa los gritos del tipo!
Beautiful. this is a special moment a mother whale showing off her baby.. wonderful!!!
@balzonurchin It is against the law for anyone to approach orcas, etc. in BC (and in Washington) but it is not against the law for them to approach YOU as happened here.
Enjoy times like these, your great grandchildren may only read about these majestic creatures, or see this footage and say "why did we just sit back and watch them be destroyed?" Great vid, sad potential outcome.
Guess who won't be asked out on the boat again? 😂
What's with that damn hysterical woman? Such an amazing encounter .
Whats with all these negative comments?? Its a beautiful thing that is happening in this video and people are still looking for negative things. Im sorry for what made you think that way but if you want something to change you gotta change your mindset first. Spread the love.
I thought the boat was gonna tip over
same
Wow, F%$@ I LOVE NATURE!
My gosh lady....... totally spazzing out with all her high pitched squeezing. Please calm down. I know it's a whale, but my goodness.
City people nver see whales
I would have done the same thing! If you have ever had this type of encounter, you would know how absolutely thrilling it is!
That was fantastic! Nice job to the captain! 👏
It's like the mother decided to show off her baby to random people and just wanted to hang out with them. The baby is so cute. Whales are awesome!
Hahaha, I was so annoyed by that woman and I thought I would be the only one. I read through the comments and wow, I was right, she's annoying. Kind of takes away from the magic of the moment.
now the whales swim to japan and innocently approach a whaling ship, thinking humans are not dangerous.
Came here to see a beautiful meeting between two species only to have it ruined by a shrieking banshee in the background... humans can ruin anything wonderful D: Apart from that amazing creatures!
what an amazing encounter!! once in a lifetime experience :)
That is really sweet. I'm crying again!!! I wonder WHY the mother did that? I guess she wanted to show her baby to the humans. She was letting the baby have a neat experience too. She was like "look at my baby!!"
It is so wonderful that they allow themselves to be petted, but the screams from especially the woman, is infuriating. Animals have super acute hearing. Respect them by being quiet, or talk softly.
i was waiting for the boat to tip over
or for someone to fall out
and get eaten
Juan Williams Grey whales don't have teeth
What the fuck is the point of a visor if you're going to wear it backwards?
You can use it to stop the back of your neck from getting sunburn...
djmdb
and if you want to get close to what you are trying to view the visor can get in the way and or obstruct vision.
If it's a hat, it covers the crown of the head, hiding it.
Awesome video I am sure those folks intentions were good and positive and it's beautiful to see people interact with nature. Unfortunately for these whales they seem to have a lot of trust for human touch. I hope and pray those whales don't end up trusting and meeting the wrong group of people.
The whales were probably baffled and curious to see what the hysterical screaming and shrieking was about
