    Last week we put the brand new Bola B17 lightweight wheels on to the M140i, wrapped in Michelin PS4, they were always going to be good! But just how good exactly?
    Take a look at this video where we do some 0-60 Dragy testing, alongside speaking around the 100-200 Dragy testing, to find out just how much of a difference the new wheels and tyres have made.

    Don’t focus much on the slope ( its has problems ) instead test always on the very same spot. Try to start in 2cond gear

    Hi Just The Driven, what would happen if you put the stage 2 tune on without upgrading the down pipe & air filter, would you gain any power over the stage 1 tune?

    • @JustTheDriven
      @JustTheDriven  4 года назад +1

      Not particularly, it's not really recommended as the Stage 2 tune is designed to work with higher airflow than the Stage 1. Air filter isn't needed for Stage 1 either and it can be done with no hardware.
      If you were to put a Stage 2 tune into a car with stock downpipe you've still got a restriction of air. Theoretically you'll be able to flash it, but it won't provide any power over Stage 1 and in some circumstances may reduce power

    Shaving total of 10kg off the wheels will make diference but never improve 0-60 by .7 sec in this car
    Why this results are not valid?
    Diferent tires = different grip Diferent tires weight
    Diferent day = different whether conditions, temp,humidity(tires grip) plus atmospheric pressure - all this can easly affect engine power by 3-5%
    Now, one of the most important thing people forget is the wind direction.. yes, doing 0-60 with the wind or against the wind can make 0.5sec sex difference without changing the wheels or car weight😊

    Thinking to a draggy for my st 2 cupra.the roll out is included in the 0-60 time then? and you don't need to allow for it.
    I believe it's about .20 sec slower without roll out.

    • @JustTheDriven
      @JustTheDriven  4 года назад +1

      The rollout isn't accounted for in these runs, I've always done the Dragy as pure as possible to get normal times, so I'm guessing it would be slightly faster with the rollout accounted for

      @@JustTheDriven l believe that car magazines road tester use the rollout and probably the manufacturer when claiming there times.
      Now santapod is open again would be good to get some times there in September when the temps cool down.
      My cupra has the oversize ramir foam filter with heat sheild and you do notice the difference when it hit 30c last week.

      Might have a pop with the rollout then, should see times closer to 4s if that's the case, yes I do believe manufacturers use it when quoting times too.
      September is a good shout for Pod, car definitely feels the heat. It's currently on stock airbox and stock paper filter which by all accounts is a good setup, might have a play with some heat management at some point

    try to do the 100-200 tests again , im really intrested to see the results after the new wheels.
    maybe try at night time with lower ambient temps.

      That's the plan 👍 I most likely won't record them however I will update in a video

    PS4's are the only tyres that keep the back end in check on the mustang. I need a dragy! 4.5 is the best i've had out of mine (using the built in track apps) but that's on an incline, no launch control (autos don't have it) and left in auto. Awesome stuff mate!

      I was surprised as to how much difference there was between the PS4 & MPSS.. I'm going to be putting the PS4 against some Goodyear Eagle F1 Supersports soon.. should be interesting!

    Have you thought of doing a 30-70 mph time, it's a good test of real world overtaking ability

      I have yes, it's something I can implement into the next testing video 👍

    Car manufacturers record 0-60 times on a prepared surface and don’t include the “rollout” time for the car to cross the start line on a drag strip. They also USE LAUNCH CONTROL lol. You absolutely 100% have to brake boost the car up to at least 2500rpm to get a respectable time. I could have that car under 4 seconds with me behind the wheel.
