This is a great start. Hopefully you're aware of poparena's Nick Knacks, which is a retrospective of Nick's entire history. The show's currently in 1991 having just finished episode 100, Clarissa Explains It All.
Might help with some clarity on the early years, especially 1979-1980. We have a lot of footage of those shows now.

As a kid I grew up on 80s Nick, Disney in the costumed mascot TV show era, USA, NBC, CBS, ABC, HBO , PBS, and The Disney Afternoon.
Cartoon Network remained unviable to our cable package for a few years before it reached our area. So I grew up on much of what you skipped. Lots of young kids loved You Can't do that on TV Eureeka's castle was the 1st Nick series to have serious fans but it was Nicktoons that helped it really take off.
