Cartoon Network was launched in 1992.
I am just thankful that I was born in the 90s and raised in the 2000s the decades which in opinion were the best times for Cartoon Network. The classic shows from back than have become big parts of animation history, and with all the amazing program blocks and marathons the channel just felt so alive.
Me too! Being a 90s baby rocks
We can t forget Michael ouweleen s plan
@@gabriellogrado4488 What plan are you talking about? Does this mean Cartoon Network is going to bounce back after all this time?
@@calebglasscock7392yes friend
Me too. I experienced it as well from my mid childhood years in the late 1990s. Both Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network was in their prime back then.
Cartoon network didn't launch in 1985
Sure didn’t, it launched in 1992. Nickelodeon was already established way before Cartoon Network
the script and voiceover are both ai generated
Hahaha get em!!!
Or did the RUclipsr add wrong information on purpose, so to copyright the video, like Larry Bundy Jr?
@@OmarAlikaj no, the ai he used to write the video just got it wrong
Cartoonnetwork launched in 1992
Disney and Nickelodeon were first, bro.
Cartoon Network began in 1992, and Nickelodeon and The Disney Channel predate CN (created in 1979 and 1983, respectively).
Just bring toonami back to weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
I was actually hoping to see any type of reference to CN blocks like Toonami and Miguzi. Guess not.
This definitely aged well, because starting on May 31st, toonami will be airing every Friday from 5pm-7pm, it’s called ‘Toonami Rewind’
@@carlottajohns8691 😄 That's right.
It's because there's a lack of violence and appealing visuals in new shows which humans find entertaining. We now find these things in other networks
“Inclusivity” wasn’t really a thing but in the day. They typically just found shows with a good story/premise/interesting art style. It’s not like today where you have certain quotas to fulfill
Quotas were basically what killed any charm, or appeal that cartoons could have.
The funny part is the shows back then were more naturally inclusive than they are today
Yeah I think you got the years mixed it was lauched in 1992
Did Cartoon Network really decline in 2001? I didn't think so. If so, not by much. It was still competing strong vs Nick and Disney, and Fox Kids (and Fox Family) ceased to exist. Let's not forget that Toonami and Adult Swim were also a huge factor for CN.
I still thought CN was fine UNTIL maybe around 2006 or later when live-action shows were suddenly popping up.
They definitely started going to shit around 2006 and it got worse in 2009 because of that cn real bullshit that no one likes
Cartoon network was my favorite tv channel in my childhoold, I remember it nostalgically
Cartoon Network would go downhill after the 2007 Boston Mooninite Panic and never really recovered.
What was that
@@Sean12248 In case you don't know, the Boston Mooninite Panic was an event that happened in 2007. It was a promotion for the Aqua Teen Hunger Force movie coming out at the time. However, during one of the promotions, someone mistook a sign of one of the characters for a bomb causing the whole city to go on lockdown. This event unfortunately led to Jim Samples leaving and some people have said it left a permanent scare on Cartoon Network.
Yeah because that's when Jim samples left he was basically the golden age for cartoon networks presidents
@@Sean12248people in Boston were in panic mode when they saw LED Placards of Mooninites from Aqua Teen Hunger Force. look it up it was national news
Cartoon network launched in 1992 bro. Not 1985
Great script and editing, but the ai voice is terrible.
Pretty sure the script was written by AI too
The script was written by ai💀 so many facts in this video are wrong
I was born in the 90's and those cartoon were the bomb they were better than the ones they have now
Powerpuff girls, Foster's home for imaginary, dexter's laboratory, What a cartoon show, and robotboy.
Cartoon Network Is Forever ❤
Cartoon Network launched in 1992
Cartoon Network was the new channel that started causing trouble for Nickelodeon, not the other way around.
Cartoon Network launched in 1992 and mainly consisted of old Hanna-Barbera cartoons until 1998 or so. The late 90s to early-mid 2000s was its peak.
Ed, Edd, and Eddy was such a great hit
1992 was the year it was established CN
Well I'd love to see the network bounce back, I've love to see some returns of Teen Titans (originals) and the S.W.A.T Kats. However I don't see the animation world ever bouncing back to it's former glory. Animators today are more worried about spreading a message instead of telling a story.
We can t forget Michael s plan friend
We can t forget Michael s plan friend 😎
What happened? They stopped airing anything but TWO cartoons less than a decade ago. They're making all these new cartoons, but not airing them at all. Now they're cancelling them because nobody is watching them. No surprise that animation is dead
Cartoon Network began broadcasting in 1992, not 1985. 🤨 And the picture you showed of The Powerpuff Girls at the 00:01:15 mark is the 2016 remake, not the 1998 original Cartoon Cartoon.
you kept given us so much Teen Titans Go 😡
You should have kept what Cartoon Network use to stand for back in the 90s and 2000s.
I MISS THESE DAYS SO BAD🔥🔥🔥🔥Dexters lab was always my favorite
A timeline I created in regards to Cartoon Network's history and it's state of decline.
*The Stone Age (1992-1999) -* It is here where Cartoon Network got its start and it started off with airing old TV shows from the 30's-60's as well as Hanna-Barbara but very noteworthy original TV shows such as Powerpuff Girls, Dexter's Laboratory, Cow and Chicken, and Johnny Bravo helped to draw in viewers throughout the 90's and starting off of The young era of Cartoon Network which was in its early beginnings.
*The Golden Age (1999-2009) -* Ed, Edd, n Eddy made its debut and started the Golden age as CN mass produced watchable, memorable, and forgettable original shows throughout the 2000's with many TV shows being crossed over in CN City bumpers and with 2007 being at its peak (CN Invaded). 2009 was the dark age as many Cartoon Network Originals ended in 2008 respectively. The Golden Age came to an end following the conclusion of Ed, Edd, n Eddy.
*The Silver Age (2010-2019) -* As the Dark age concluded, Adventure Time and Regular Show came in time to save Cartoon Network and started the Silver Age. Cartoon Network began producing TV shows for teenaged audiences and adding mature themes in their shows as opposed to the slapstick humor that was in the Golden Age with a handful of exceptions. However many of these TV shows had ended in the mid to late 2010s. The Silver Age came to an end following the conclusion of The Amazing World of Gumball.
*The Rust Age (2019-present) -* As no new TV show came into usher Cartoon Network into a new age as the company now lacks in producing newer TV shows to attract newer audiences, instead relying on re-runs and originals that have existed since the Silver age thus ushering Cartoon Network in a state of decline.
*Renaissance Era (????-????) -* A hypothetical scenario where Cartoon Network begins to produce new, watchable, and memorable originals similar to the originals of the Golden-Silver Age, which would help draw in newer audiences and save Cartoon Network from decline and will help usher in an era of rebirth.
The main problem for me now is that there no new shows to fill in the schedule.
I’m afraid that without a live streaming option that doesn’t require a cable subscription, and drastically rethink their online presence/apps Cartoon Network is doomed.
They either get with the modern times, or the world moves on..
that have that everything on cn is on max
Which you need an internet connection through a cable company to get
Just goes to show that nothing last forever. I fear Disney will soon be joining Cartoon Network in the cemetery, followed by Nickelodeon.
The Cartoon Network building shown throughout the video is sadly no more.
We need too start a petition for a whole channel of cartoon network classics like knd camp lazlo samurai jack and etc especially from 90s and to 2012
Nowadays the old cartoons from Cartoon Network are actually showing in Boomerang.
It's still falling..........
how, I miss the old cartoon network, 😢😢😢 I always watched only that program when I was a child
Cartoon Network was launched around (October 1st) 1992, NOT 1985. You may want to do a little more research before making the video, though.
CN kept spamming shows, people got tired of same crap and went somewhere else. These executives are morons they are running it to the ground. It is all about the money and royalties
Emerged? ,Disney and nick have been around way more longer than cn
I absolutely loved CN in the late 90s with their iconic shows airing as well as classics like Scooby-Doo among others, plus the icing on the cake that made it cooler was Cartoon Network Cartoon Theatre on the weekends. They would hype up the movie to be shown all week making it worth the wait. Ahh good times.😊
I really wish the network will come back
The closest to old cartoon network is boomerang
MeTV Toons this June.
4:25 I recall that episode, haha. It hasn't crossed my mind in over a decade.
if they have to be voted for, they should return the old original program
I think the BIGGEST main reason CN has fallen hard, is to put it simply: The "watering down", because "cartoons are too violent" that there's no humour anymore, which makes newer shows uninteresting. All the newer cartoons simply are not that funny anymore, unless you're talking Family Guy or Futurama, but that's more "adult cartoons".
Cartoon network Didn't start. in 1985 It. started in 1992 This guy. doesn't know what he's talking about
Also nick and disney were established way before cartoon network. Do your research
Yeah, this TV show was also a special place in my heart before when I was watching Nick and Nick was such a good show for me when I was a kid and I loved it. And this one was also my favorite too. Because this Was in my heart. Seeing old two thousand shows is just good, and since it's now twenty twenty four, it just feels awful bit
Ed edd Eddy will always be my number one. If they could just give us an adult spin off it would be great.
I want dexter's laboratory to come back
Yeah, I think CartoonNetwork could certainly benefit from re-airing old cartoons on the main network rather than just using Checkered Past, but I honestly don't think making new shows from the old shows would be a good idea unless the original people involved were to be involved with the revival, otherwise you run the risk of making a PowerPuff Girls 2016 or a Teen Titans Go. Seriously dude, you should've double-checked to make sure you were referencing the right series when talking about PowerPuff Girls.
Anyway, I personally think it's good that CartoonNetwork has gotten Chemo-therapy for their cancer of Teen Titans Go. Now all they gotta do is actually make a good work environment, promote creator-driven shows, and who knows? One day we might actually get Galactic Kids Next Door on TV.
Friday & Saturday 11:PM Adult Swim with Samurai Jack, Original Speed Racer, Jonny Quest, A Action Movie of the Week Like "Heavy Metal". etc.
6:22
Galactic Kids Next Door! ...Oh wait.
Well made video you deserve more subscribers 👏👏
Just like Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network is dying ever since they shut down their studio.
Nickelodeon is just Spongebob & Loud House.
By Late 2023 CN is dead. The only shows they air are the still ongoing Teen Titans Go, Prince Ivandoe, and Tiny Toons Looniversity, that’s it. The channel is boring.
Meanwhile adult swim: 🍷🗿
Just give us more shows like Samurai Jack 🔥
Im your guys 100 sub ❤❤.
1985?!? Really???😁
Soooo sad 😔, but look 👀 Metvtoons is launching
We can t forget Michael s plan friend 😎
Cable tv is going the way of the dinosaur, years from now, Cartoon Network channel won’t be on TV anymore. It will just be a menu hub on HBO Max and new shows and episodes will be upload exclusively on the streaming service.
Wish they bring teen titans and ben 10
Teen titans OG was the best compared to Go! It was full of 💩! 1 of the reasons y Cartoon Network we grew up went downhill!
ya because that show had really high ratings and was bring in a shit tone of cash via merch and ad money not wait that was go the 2000 show was something that would barley get one 10 of go viewing numbers on there best day and barley bring in any money what so ever also the 2000 show not the original show
No it wasn't went to shit made me mad when regular show went of the air
Lets be honest its teen titans go that made it fall of like pre 2019 there was a whole lot of stuff but now its just teen titans go
Ah I hated the new cartoons they produced compared to the classics. I hope ME TV TOONS will be what Cartoon Network used to be.
This channel feels like its ran by AI
2004 was the year Cartoon Network went downhill
Super artificial sounding this, is one of those ai channels that copy others videos and slightly alters them
It was well done, but felt like the script on this was written as a persuasive essay more than a RUclips video. I'd bet the writing and voice were AI
@@northernfew1573 has to be ai lol no question
No! I don't think they can make a real comeback they killed off Dexter's Laboratory, also Cow & Chicken, also I Am Weasel, also Johnny Bravo, also Ed, Eddie, n Eddy they took away that kind of entertainment we all liked tuning into watch. It will never be like it was at one time.
Why dont CN add new shows just like US brought Me Tv Toons adding classic 90s, 2000s CN shows
I gave up watching Cartoon Network in 2010
I want old toonami back 2000 2003
Why couldn't they just rebooted? Johnny Bravo and called it Johnny Bravo go instead of rebooting teen titans and making it Teen Titans Go.
because a super hero comedy show is bringing in a shit ton of money
lets normalize not using AI voices
or ai scripts
Sure
the endless hours of ttg is why i dont watch it
Yeah this was written by ChatGPT.
I think the fall was more when they didn't add new shows or when they did barely promoted it but did nonstop marathons of teen titans go that hurt the channel and just pushed it into streaming if they want to make a comeback they need to do the flowing:
Cartoon Cartoon Fridays Starting from 3:00pm to 8pm
Bring retro Anime/Action Cartoons via Toonami on Friday starting @8pm to 12am
Have Toonami start at 6pm either start with some Dragon Ball Z or Pokemon then do a movie then the new dubbed shows
New Ben 10 show this time a follow up of Omniverse & a Ben 10,000 show
Bring more Action cartoons made by the Man of Action or Action Cartoons in general
More Adventure Time/ Steve Universe/ Regular Show styled shows that are comedic but have plots that everyone can enjoy
Bring canceled shows back like Megas XLR, Motorcity, & Sym-Bionic Titan who deserve a revival
Cancel Teen Titans GO it had a good run its time to give it axe let other shows thrive
Teen Titans needs season 3 more seasons a movie then a spin off with the Tim Drake Titans but having the old team as mentors
Bring back the old bumpers with the Cartoon Network characters new & old interact with each other
Laboratory💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀💀
Cartoon Network is Turner.
Boomerang is Warner Bros.
Discovery Kids is Discovery.
They must be separate from each other again.
STUPID! IT LAUNCHED IN 1992!
It would be nice if they made a reboot of Ed Edd n Eddy mucha Lucha Hi Hi Puffy AmiYumi
Was this babbling about cartoon network's original programming in the late 90's and early 2000's being the channel's golden age? Its golden age was due in an enormous part thanks to the weekdays anime block they had - primarily DBZ. That's it. After that everybody else were competing for 2nd place.
i smell ai 😂
I hate AI-generated videos like this.
Why he uses ai?
another ai generated youtube video made in order to get a quick buck
lol it didn’t loose its charm y’all are just grown now
checkered past proves otherwise
@@NostalgiaCriticAnim1 Checkered Past proves that even Adult Swim is falling apart, especially regarding the controversy on the "My Life with Superman" series.
All thanks to wokeness and playing the same shows non stop over and over (as well as not having anything new for half a year)
Adult Swim was the worst idea EVER!!!! Get rid of Adult Swim
All the new shows sucks on cn. 😢
Hahahahaha
Cartoon Network now has become so useless and dead
Cartoon Network Is Forever ❤
