    Also, I've always felt that Ogryns make a great addition to a Catachan Army, being exactly the sort of inhumans the Catachan's would accept into their ranks.
    I like the 40K models with the tank doors as shields best, but this Necromunda kit is interesting.
    They may also work as alternative Ork models with an Ork Nob head and a bit of kitbashing.

    i think if your talking about Necromunda you should try and play it too

      video seems awfully ignorant on a lot of things, for a 40k channel

    9:30 you can see musculur tonality. It's just very subtle. The Deltoid usually splits into three major muscle striations. Maybe an illusive paint job could make more definition?

  • @James-xb7qc
    @James-xb7qc 4 года назад +8

    If you look at photos of bodybuilders, their shoulder muscles are normally far less veiny than their arms so the sculpt is quite accurate to what we see in reality.

      i think that's what GW thought but some extra "detail" is needed there

    GWs business model will be the death of it.

  • @richmcgee434
    @richmcgee434 3 года назад +2

    Bleah. These are actually less modular than models GW was making 20+ years ago. Their move away from making figs with mix-and-match combinations of leg/hip and torso pieces has reduced the range of customization enormously , and they still refuse to do ball-and-socket joins on arms for the vast majority of figs despite being *the* company that popularized big shoulder pads that would make those look more natural. Huge step backward and fiddly as hell to assemble, which goes for most Necromunda figs.
    Thanks for teh warning, anyway.

    8:50 Made to fit the decal. Yes, that same shoulder decal you can see in every ogryn left shoulder in the box you are showing. Lol

      You call that cheap?

    • @longhunter5935
      @longhunter5935 4 года назад +3

      The FW are $70/3 and the GW are $60/3. So no not cheap but better priced than the alternative.

    Sad GW prices keep going up and up.
    Prices alone will keep so many away from the hobby :(.
    Models look ok but should be priced more along 45-50$ and that’s steep, considering it seems like the same amount of plastic to make those new space marine action figures.and those at release were affordable.
    I know I’m being salty on prices but I’ve been a GW modeler since the days they came in hard plastic cases and there was a throned genstealer I know prices change but my god GW it’s plastic lol.

    • @MaterialSquid
      @MaterialSquid 4 года назад +1

      totally agree, these should have priced as per the existing gangs, its a blatant cash grab by GW, i wont be be buying at this price, models look good but these are terrible value boxes

    I'm curious to know if everyone where you are located pronounce their name as "Og-Ryn"?
    I have never heard it pronounced that way. Here in my area and the other parts of the United States I've lived or visited, I've only ever heard the name pronounced "Oh-Gryn".
    Have I been mispronouncing it for nearly 3 decades?

      Aye is Oh-gryns like Ogre. Is like hearing them in Avatar live action say Ong watching this lol. In all seriousness though Gw has gone downhill soooo much in the last few years with cheap quick sculpts overpriced to make you think there good

      You don't have too be a surgeon too call out a botched surgery. there was some valid criticism here. The shoulder sculpts I believe are too allow for the transfer sheets of the tattoos, but they do leave it a little bare with potential gaps on top of that shoulder looks nasty.

    $80 F*CKING DOLLARS!! You can get boutique resin for that price.

    6 months later: We are cancelling Necromunda because nobody is buying the models
