She's not a great singer. She's an actor that can sing fairly well. She can't touch the country stars who covered it, including Ronan Keating. But I don't blame her for covering it. I generally dislike mawkish music, but this song is real poetry. Kudos to Mark D. Sanders and Tia Sillers

I'm sorry but it seems you are the clueless one. Don't mean to be rude. Lee Ann Womack was the original singer in 2000. Gladys Knight's version didn't come out until more than a decade later. I love GK but Womack nailed it. She also took it to number one on Billboard's country and contemporary.
