Czech Doubledeck Trains around Prague - ČD CityElefant

The 3-coach Class 471 doubledeck commuter trains are used by České dráhy in the Prague and Ostrava conurbations. This film shows trains in action in summer 2020 at some of the urban Prague stations and further afield in Central Bohemia.
A total of 83 so-called "CityElefant" doubledeckers were built by ČKD Vagonka and Škoda from 1997 to 2013. Therefore the oldest trains in the white base livery have a slightly different front-end. Generally, four different color schemes appear, these being basic white, red and blue and then finally two variations of the "Najbrt" paint job with two versions of white and blue.
These "Deckers" are fully air-conditioned and quite comfortable to ride on, also because the seats line up with the windows and most seating is in bays of four.

Die Dostos vom Typ CityElefant sind auf der Prager S-Bahn (Esko) im Einsatz in der Hauptstadt wie auch darüber hinaus in Mittel- und Nordböhmen. Auch in Ostrava und Mährisch Schlesien werden die Garnituren auf Pendlerstrecken im Regionalverkehr eingesetzt. Dieser Film aus dem Frühsommer 2020 zeigt die Doppelstöcker im Einsatz in Prag und Mittelböhmen.
