    Thanks for an excellent video on the Cam. You have answered every question I was going to ask. Even better by demonstrating the capability of camera under all conditions. This is an ideal camera for use and discreet for returning footage to A&E displaying injuries at scene which can help and assess Consultants in making decisions on treatment modes. Thanks once again and appreciated.

      Probably one of the best cams for low light that's this small . Though maybe not if in Airea that's very rainy or snowy as I don't think it's as weather resistant or durable as more simple action cams.

    (1) I wonder if anyone has noticed the focus on your face going out a wee bit while shooting at night?
    (2) What about the still photo performance of the camera as compared to GoPro Hero 12?
    (3) Have you used zoom on it?
    Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Really good review, and impressive quality from such a small device.
    It’s been on my radar, but I don’t know what route I’m going down for a camera.
    For RUclips it’s more than enough quality, but for the impracticality of a DSLR\Mirror less camera you can do so much more with them.
    Two different scales of cost 🤔

    "... Plus I'm framed right in the middle of the screen". Just as an FYI, I saw in another review that there are settings for active track that allow you to choose what quadrant of the screen you want to be framed in.
    "Without the battery attachment on it though, it's really kind of small and then your thumb and your grip on it doesn't really line up..." It's worth mentioning that the grip extension handle that comes with the basic kit also solves this problem. You just won't get the benefit of the extended battery life. Otherwise very nice review though. Thanks!

    15:42 I thought you can lock the gimbal by pressing the joystic or something. Just like the osmo mobile gimbals. That's when you get responsive movements. Or am I wrong?

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  7 месяцев назад

      Yah you can do a pov setting and a lock setting but it's still not as snappy as a go pro / actioncam. / to maintain smooth footage you basically just need to learn the timing of stuff and how to tilt arm with that timing.
      Depends how smooth you want footage though and how picky you are.
      Point is a person with 0 skill or thinking might do better with go pro than a gimble if they are doing a pure first person point and shoot video.

  • @SergeKowalski
    @SergeKowalski 7 месяцев назад

    Its really can blur background?

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  7 месяцев назад

      Yes of subject is close to the camara , The lens has an apature of F2.0 , and the sensor is larger than most small action cam / phone cams sensors which allows for a shallower depth of field.
      Probably things within 40cm will produce a very blurry looking background.
      Anything focused on that's within 1.5M should still have some blur for background.
      After focusing on objects 1.5-2M away the whole image will look sharp and in focus with no real BG blur

    There's something odd about how all of this video looks. It's jerky, like a framerate mismatch issue you sometimes get. I can't put my finger on what's actually wrong. Anyway, that night mode thing is marketing. I believe it's only available in Normal mode not DLOG or HLG, right? That's because it's doing some processing, maybe more noise removal. It cannot do anything else as the hardware is what the hardware is. What I want and what I've seen almost no videos demonstrating it properly, is the results from 10-bit log recording. I'll then colour grade myself and get a better result. That along with the sensor are the biggest attraction of this camera to professionals who want something small and discrete. Also no mention of the 32-bit float internal audio recording of the Mic 2, which is a huge advantage that's rarely talked about.

    The lightweight camera with small footprint, clear and stable video, the nice low light shooting blinded me for some time -
    but then I realised that as a family vacation shooter this camera is USELESS if it does not offer OPTION of infinite focus.
    If I cannot get my subject and the surroundings ALL in focus, then that defeats the whole concept of vacation shooting -
    the bokeh effect (background blurring) is a massive hindrance than of benefit.
    Maybe if you are showcasing a product or person. Or trying cinematic storytelling - you may find it useful.
    But for millions of simple vacationers like me - who just desired crisp super stable video while travelling, taking in all of the surroundings -
    this lack of universal focus (fixed aperture and focal length) is a deal breaker.
    Lucky I stopped just short of making payment for it.

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  6 месяцев назад

      Well I mean if you are shooting a subject super close people would be focused on the subject regardless, if you focus on background then that would be in focus or get your subject to stand what 5m away from cam to frame them in sceene with it all in focus ?
      If I was doing stuff just for family videos then I'd just use a mobile phone to be honest and then maybe an action cam that I can swim with / drop with no issues / get wet.
      I think the DJI osmo pocket 3 fits the niche for vlogging / intentional filming

  • @vehiclemundo
    @vehiclemundo 7 месяцев назад

    Seems at times to look like you are walking through a cartoon. For example sky is odd color and there is some type of odd processing occurring on edge of buildings and sky. Also edge of trees and when trees are thin the tree leaves color changes to bluish color of sky. So the camera has some ai to determine where sky is located and then change color. AI is making it look terrible and processed and unrealistic. Note comments are made while watching video on a 72inch 4K TV. First video I saw where I noticed this so now I have to watch more to see if this occurs in all videos or just your camera due to settings you chose or color grading choices. Thanks for creating video.

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  7 месяцев назад

      Video is with default cam settings and no colour grading , for the sake of the review.
      It's also raining then sunny then afternoon and night so very extreme lighting conditions.
      Could probably use the DJI "log" mode if a person was going to be properly color grading the footage and not just doing basic RUclips content.

    • @vehiclemundo
      @vehiclemundo 7 месяцев назад

      @@GamerMuscleVideos Thanks. After looking around I see same issue on other channel videos with Pocket 2 and Pocket 3 turning tree edges blue. Not noticeable on phone. Not too noticeable on PC monitor. Very noticeable on huge OLED 4K TV. Gives the video a strange artificial vibe almost like someone applied bad color grade with over saturation of blue on skies. In some videos as camera moves you can see the sky is rather white or blown out and then all of the sudden a patch or blob of sky is blue. I also think it might happen due to shallow depth of focus leaving background a blur which causes camera to struggle whenever there are fine objects like branches and leaves of trees with sky behind or around them. To test that theory would require pointing the camera at yourself with trees in background causing background blur. The leave the frame with camera in same direction causing background of trees to focus and then see if the edges of trees are move normal (green leaves, brown branches) or continue to be almost transparent and blue like sky.

    Man, even you got a video out on this thing? I was interested in it but the damn thing overheats so easy if you do more than 24FPS at 4K, totally killed it for me as I’d be using 60FPS 4K in the summer, which supposedly will kill it after about 20 minutes, utter joke.

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  7 месяцев назад

      I have been dying for a cam like this for ages so bought it right away 😅 I hate carrying equipment and GoPro dosn't really bridge the gap between a proper cam and phone - though go pro / other action cams still best for actual "action" footage.
      No risk of summer in the uk ! Will see how well it holds up in other locations , though you shouldn't have to do it but maybe sticking metal ram heat sink on the back of it could help ?
      With most stuff I film to cam I tend to use 2k for projects , smaller file sizes and still looks great on youtube , 4k60 best for short shots or views of things.

    • @WhiteHawk77
      @WhiteHawk77 7 месяцев назад +1

      @@GamerMuscleVideos well, it really shouldn’t overheat at all, let alone that easy. Shouldn’t be limited by that, the limit should be storage or battery. Was looking at getting something for a holiday next summer where temps in direct sunlight are not going to help this thing. Image quality is fantastic and it being light and compact I was very interested but saw a video that mentioned the overheating, so it’s a no go, will stick with either a gimbal for my iPhone 15 Pro or a DLSR style phone holder like the ShiftCam ProGrip.

    • @GamerMuscleVideos
      @GamerMuscleVideos  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@WhiteHawk77 Yah I don't think they should market stuff as 4k60 if that mode doesn't work the same as 1080p60
      It's annoying , all the small cams that can do 4k60+ FPS overheat , canon , sony , go pro.
      I guess the only solution with small cams is they need active cooling or metallic / heatsink case design of some sort.
      Outside of that new chips and new ways to process 4k with less power.
      But yah there should be standards for record time at X frame rate at x temperature say 24C no wind.
      I already use pixel 7 and this will still be better quality have use over that.
      If someone does not make videos for a job then honestly a phone is more than good enough for most things.

    • @WhiteHawk77
      @WhiteHawk77 7 месяцев назад

      @@GamerMuscleVideos Now you mention it I think I remember seeing something about one of the Go Pros a few years back overheating but I honestly didn’t know this was such a prevalent problem in other similar cameras.
      That’s so strange considering a smartphone is so much thinner and has to deal with the heat of a bigger screen too.
      They definitely need to figure some sort of solution to that, especially considering they probably sell more of them in countries where the big light in the sky doesn’t try to stay as far away as possible like here.
      Thanks for the video though, just surprised to see it on here after having so many pop up on my recommendations. 😀

      @@GamerMuscleVideos Why not. Many people don't film clips that are so long.
      But if that's necessary for the stuff you do with the camera, then don't use the battery grip when shooting - then you should be able to shoot at 4K / 60 longer and save the internal battery as well.
