I bought the LG xl9t for $527at that price jbl can not compete at least in my country party box 1000 is 999$ and party box 710 890$ they are both a little bit better tan lg but not 300$ or 400$.

Are both speakers having internal batteries or must be always connected when playing?

It's a tough call between the 2. But I give the deepest bass to JBL due to the 12" sub. They both sound good.
