When I was growing up in the 90's, there were greasy spoon hotdog stands like this everywhere in the remote suburbs near elgin and aurora. Most got replaced by great Mexican restaurants and a lot of those places maintain the classic menu. Although I appreciate the fact that the Mexican places maintained the classic grill menu, in some cases the Mexican places have the better burgers, it's still not the same as this. I'm glad these places are still common around here. Even if they aren't as common as they used to be, I'm glad this culture can carry on.
