Yes, this was the opening of "Five Of A Kind" (2020) for their album "Electric Pentagram" at Zepp DiverCity, Tokyo. They came up and owned the stage (immediate power). Watching FOAK in one turn is so mesmerizing! Some of the best live videos are from this performance, next best are the current ones (2023, Knockin' At Heaven's Gate KAHG Part I & II), Heavy Metal Never Dies HMND (2021) and Daughters Of The Dawn DOTD (2019). There are also some older performances (Wacken W-O-A 2018, London 2017, Battle In The East BITE 2018). Live is the way to go!

My favorite band in the world. I love them and am continually amazed by their talent, stage presence, and just how good they are. One of my favorites right here. It's a banger. Honestly, they have quite a range, so having a favorite is difficult. Thrash? They can do it. Power metal? They can do that in spades. Progressive? They have that covered too. 80s rock? They even have a couple like that. Power ballads. Speed metal. When I want thrash though, this song and Break the Wall are it. They have a couple of masterpieces that mix in piano, Asami's R&B vocal background, some surprises. The rabbit hole is deep. With "Glory to the World" and "WINDS OF TRANSYLVANIA", you've only seen glossy music videos from Lovebites so far. These are great, but if you've only seen these two it's easy to get the wrong impression of Lovebites. Lovebites play live with a style and sound that is less common with other Japanese female bands, but rather with Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Testament, Anthrax or Megadeth. Band Maid, newer song Shambles, great inspiring lyrics, major skills, but, unfortunately my ears can't handle certain tones & I had to turn the volume down. Even with that awesome dwarf band I mentioned above, I had to hide around 13 songs on their essentials playlist. But the rest, around 21 of them rocked the sound I can handle ok. Ok. What's that other one? BabyMetal, Metal Kingdom or similar title. Not bad on my ears at all. I'll check out more of theirs in the weeks ahead. I envy people with normal ears who can dig any sound thrown their way.

'Glory to the World' is more of a combination of progressive and symphonic metal. The vast majority of LOVEBITES catalogue fits quite comfortably under the "Power Metal" banner. Even a couple of their thrash songs have power metal chorsuses, so I don't think its really that terrible of a sin to label them as a power metal band, even though fans know they are more diverse musically than just power metal.

I love sounds like Sabaton & D'artagnan. The solid Folk and/or Power Metal sounds. Dan Vasc is my #1, but he has a solid behind/under his high, if that makes sense.
Thanks for your reaction. I wonder why you call LOVEBITES a power metal band? If you read this on Wikipedia, then unfortunately there are often errors there ( in the article dedicated to LOVEBITES ). For example, you reacted to three songs by LOVEBITES, two of which ('Winds of Transylvania' and 'Thunder Vengeance') are thrash-metal, with a symphonic intro. 🤗The third song to which you reacted ('Glory to the World') is also difficult to classify as power metal. 'Glory to the World' is more of a combination of progressive and symphonic metal.
The ladies themselves always and everywhere call themselves a heavy metal band (in numerous interviews, on the official website, on their pages on social networks, etc.)
Sorry, but to say that LOVEBITES is DRAGONFORCE with a little addition of BABYMETAL...( what ??? 😳). Nothing personal. You made me laugh. Sorry, but I think you definitely need to check out (carefully) at least 10-15 more LOVEBITES songs ...🤔 I have nothing against DRAGONFORCE and BABYMETAL, but LOVEBITES is completely - completely different.
The vast majority of LOVEBITES catalogue fits quite comfortably under the "Power Metal" banner. Even a couple of their thrash songs have power metal chorsuses, so I don't think its really that terrible of a sin to label them as a power metal band, even though fans know they are more diverse musically than just power metal.

The vast majority of LOVEBITES songs fit under the headings of speed, thrash , progressive, neoclassical, symphonic metal and hard rock. Yes, LOVEBITES is often called a power metal band ... usually by those (including some media) who are new to all of the band's songs
If you label the genre of LOVEBITES as power metal, it means that the band performs only power metal. But this does not correspond to reality.
