Hi! Yes you can. Just make sure the width of the needles does not exceed the width of your stitch plate. At the bottom of the double needle, are two numbers: 1) is the space between the needles, 2) is the size of the needle. If your machine can do a 6 mm wide stitch, I would keep the first number 5.5 or lower. If you are doing decorative stitching with a twin needle, you want to go even lower than that. Be sure to hand walk your stitching to make sure it's clearing your foot before using the foot pedal. You can either narrow your stitch or use a twin needle with a lower first number number.
