Thank you so so much. I bought the same machine from Lidl a few days ago, total beginner and felt so out of my depth when I got it out of the box, quick search on youtube and I found this video, it's all set up and I've been practising stitches for a few hours and feel like I'm getting the hang of it, thank you!
You're a God send with this video, for an hour I was sitting annoyed, consulting two other people and one video, following printed instructions and nothing. Your video, 5 minutes and it works! Thank you!
I saw this one advertised too. It's a good price. The only thing I have never been keen on was side loading bobbins. My machines HAVE to be top loading.
Hi Abbey love your demo video just bought this singer serenade from lidl but the instructions are not in English.....sorry meant to say I am living in portugal.....can you please help me by telling me what foot pedal I need for sewing wool I am struggling to find this information....thankyou in advance of your reply
Hi Abi, just a follow up from viewing and commenting on this video 3 weeks ago. do you have any tutorials for making Button Holes using this machine? I noticed the foot in the accessories pack and it's something I'll have to learn to use but it looks very daunting! Thanks
The problem with the machine I picked up, it exhibited faults. I haven’t got round to looking at how to fix those faults or decided whether to return it to the store. Unfortunately, lots of people have complained about this model, so I may opt for the latter x
Can i ask what are the faults? Only got it today but as a beginner cannot compare to much apart from cheap argos machine..it feels it got stuck good few times on me..also sewing upside down but solved that with incorrect thread in bobbin ..i will defo keep receipt and packaging in case i need to bring it back
@@AbisDen this just came up as someone commented. The machine I bought is now in the bin as it too developed faults. Such a shame as it was a nice machine.
I am am experienced machinist and my machine has jammed knocking the needle out of time I can’t seem to put this problem right any ideas ? unfortunately I have left it too late to return the item I only bought this basic model to put me on while my tried and trust 30 year old machine was getting fixed
Actually, this machine does have 100 stitches in total. The first number is stitch 00. The strait stitch. The last is number 99, one of the button holes. 00 to 99 is a total of 100.
I bought the same machine, but don’t bring the manual 😞😞😞😞 I try to find on the Singer site , but also don’t have it! It’s very strange....don’t came with the instructions! How can I get the manual for this machine? Tank you very much 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
There's no hooking system in my machine (singer serenade). The metal thing simply slips away and leaves the thread as it was. I am finding no video with a clear explanation. So annoying
my bobbin seems to be taking some feed of thread but it's very laboured and keeps stopping. I can't find a tangle anywhere so I don't know what's wrong. I also bought the Serenade but I bought it in Lidl... I wonder would be it poorer quality even though it's marked as a Singer
@@denisemcgrath5490 I had never set up a machine from scratch before though too so I wasn't sure if it was just me. The stitches seemed grand when I got it going. I noticed in the video the spool of thread she uses is long in shape and mine is a short squat cylinder ? Maybe spinning something so wide was just a different tension and had to go slower ? I do work in Lidl and I know as long as you have a receipt you can refund it no problem ... even if it's just a case of not liking it
@@stephaniebrennan9580 thats great would you know are ppl generally happy with the quality or do the return them?.it was my first time setting it up too so had few issues..the thread in bobbin must come from middle and u need to hear d click or had you different issue? I managed to break needle already and had C4 bobbin error so not sure is me or the machine fault..i will not give up just yet though
I fervently wish I'd never bought this sewing machine. I've never experienced so many broken/bent needles in my life! 50 + years of machining. I'm waiting for it to be collected and taken to the singer workshop. I also purchased the overclock machine too. 1st problem, the foot didn't operate the machine. Eventually a replacement one arrived. Not happy with the performance of this one either. Totally disgruntled.

I've had my machine 3 years and only found this out now,,,,, thank you!!!
You are welcome!
Did I tell you already it's fantastic tutorial? I did, 3 years ago, and here I am again ☺
Thanks again!

Do you recommend this sewing machine?
Thank you so much for this, so much easier than grappling with the instructions!
Thank you so much for the tutorial!
Have you ever reviewed a Brother SE 70? If so - a link please. 👍🏻👍🏻
Abi could you do an up close video on how to use the computer on the necchi nc204d? Please.?
Thank you very very much!!!

Message the factory or store. They have to give it
Hi Abi how do i sew a loose stitch on this machine?
I’m not sure what you mean? What is a loose stitch Kuda?

Did this machine has twin needle option
Can I use twin needle in this machine
Yes you can, you can use twin needles on all modern sewing machines
@@AbisDen is it a good machine to buy?
My automatic threader doesn’t rotate like that, what should I do?
You need to have the needle at the highest position then only needle threader can come down and rotate easily.
@@deem9627 thank you, I figured it out. My machine is just a little stiff
