Hey I just want to say thanks for uploading your video, I appreciate it so much. I often find my self playing too fast, so I practice slow.....VERY SLOW, so my technique becomes more clear. I Like the rotation of the wrist advice, as I my hands feel more relaxed. I love this piece of music so much ; the melody is fun and exciting. I'm grateful that you uploaded this technical advice specific to this Chopin Etude. Thank You again.
The wrists... always forgetting to do it at full speed. It's so tiring I need to play a chord-y piece first before feeling comfortable playing it again. Thanks for the tips though, a good refresher since I plan to cover this soon (I hope)
I know I’m not the op, but I’ll answer your question: rhythms and accents practice helps you play evenly, and can also help coordinate the hands (not an issue in this piece but very common problem when playing Bach or Classical rep with Alberti bass.) It’s one of the most powerful practice techniques there is. The more mismatched the rhythms are to the actual music the more secure and even it will be. For example, you could practice those RH triplets in groups of 2, 4, or even 5. When playing rhythms, try to play with perfectly even dynamics, when playing accents, try to keep perfectly even rhythms. You can also combine them. Good luck!
6:55 "Double notes" is thirds and sixths - I think you mean repeat each note twice. I was listenting to your video and expected flying thirds and sixths and said to myself - oh I wanna see that :D
Turkish March and fur elise were the only classical piece which I learned from RUclips (Piano secrets). Is it possible for me to learn this insane piece?
Probably not. If you’re playing the piano for a long time and have good technique then you should learn it from the sheet music. It’s the only way ... I never understood learning pieces from RUclips.
Hi can you please do a “how to play” lesson for this piece? I really want to play it and I don’t know where to begin and and I’m sure a lot does to..... hope you’ll see it and answer, if you do have a great day😜
My Dad was groomed to play this. He was an incredible student and was groomed for Juliard. This is a very difficult task to master. Chopin's Etudes:"And yet the Etudes are much more than mere excercises, for their Herculean physical demands are nothing compared to their musical ones. Even Artur Rubinsetin,,admitted frankly "that he was scared to death of them, To do them justice is a most difficult task, which I haven't yet had the courage to attempt." They are magnificent and treacherous. These were dedicated to Franz Liszt, who was recognized as the greatest pianist of his time. It has been said that the pianist who can play all of them can play anything."" I need to try now.
I've got small hands, and I want to give this piece a go. So I'll update you. In assuming it's fine. Rotating the wrist should help actually. It's the chords in left hand which worry me a bit. But practicing it will be a challenge. Plus it's a good piece to show off a little 😉
If you want more, please COMMENT and LIKE this video!
Appreciate if you could do a full version tutorial, a lot of ppl must be like it. :)
Can you do the 6 minute version of this piece? It’s how I and many others acquire the correct fingering for these faster piecesx
Rachmaninoff Etude tabeau op 39 no 1 Is the similar work of practice??

@@starlitsnow3541 hahah thanks!!! I edited it
I'll try that out. How hard is this compared to Revolutionary etude?
They are different but they are probably at the same level of difficulty.
I love your channel The Flaming Piano!
In my opinion revolutionary etude is harder.
@@PianoSecretsChannel ehhh id say this one is harder because of the arpeggios and the white keys in the piece.
No
Please, could you go over Chopin etude opus 25 number 5, “the wrong notes”
You answer all my questions. Thank you so much !
You are so welcome!

Thank you so much for this tutorial!
very nice tutorial!
Thank you!👍
I watch your every video first
Cool!
9:20 Hi, will this method create uneven tempo habit? Should i use metronome? Thanks.
No. These are just exercises. You can use metronome if you would like. Thank you for watching.
@@PianoSecretsChannel Thank you.
just curious, how does doing the syncopated rhythms or accenting the top or bottom note like you demonstrated, help with learning this etude?

I never understood learning pieces from RUclips.
It depends on your knowledge, ability and practice. You can try a few measures and see.
The only thing I learnd today is that there's no shortcut. Sit and PRACTICE!
