As someone who has lived in the Caribbean all her life, people PLEASE do not go outside during a storm, cat 1, whatever, the wind may seem tame but if it blows off a piece of metal sheet or wood or palm, it could injure you. Similarly with flood waters, this could be dangerous for a number of reasons. It is better to be safe than sorry. Oh. Don't forget the limbs of trees and the toppling of weak or rotten trees, damaged power lines the risk of these are more common at this time.

We went through Hurricane Maria and I don’t wish that on anyone. It was terrifying! Also these quakes that have been here in the south of the island let many with collapsed homes, businesses and schools.
