Hey Bjorn!!! Thank you so much for all the tips. I have done some serious offroad with my xc 90 2.5T 2005 . I got the bashplate you got, got bend first ride but still holding ;-) might copy it and make a thicker one myself. In Belgium we cant do lift kit because of regulations 😞 but we get trough water and over rocks allright. The insa turbo rangers AT really help and only 80 euros.They are a copy of bf goddrich and are rechappés. Second ride I cut one on the side...so might try those at grabbers 🙂I had a skidservice warning. Volvo told me haldex needed replacing together with some other stuff 4000euro. Only front wheels were working and sometimes rear. Went to specialist in Holland and he repared it for 732 euro inclusiev my rear parking(same fault print plate) sensors. Print plate in the rear of car with fuses was broken. The haldex wasnt getting any current.Keep up the good work 🙂 switch off DSTC and the volvo xc 90 is a killer and so comfortable :-) 🙂 are they any snorkles for xc ?
Hey Sandy, great you're hittin' the dirt too 😁👍🏼 Yeah, Haldex service is mean and expensive, my Haldex cept up until today, but my angle drive connection to the propeller shaft seized up and to change the connection part for 60€ they had to lower the angle drive for 850,-€ 🤬 The the lift kit in Germany 🤫😉 No I found no fitting standard snorkles until now, but i figured out something more important... 50cm of fording depth is a blody lie, because there is no washer between the serial snorkle hose and the airfilter box ... i sealed that with silicone and would suggest that to all XC90 owners. Another thing to avoid deeper water is, that all wiring and electric software stuff is under the floor-carpet, so flooding the car means death-penalty 😅 Greetz and keep on offroadin😎👍🏼 Bjørn

Ist Richtig gut geworden auch mit dem Matt Schwarz. Mit den Breiteren Kotflügel Verkleidungen passen auch gut 275er drauf aber in Offroad Profil wird bestimmt nicht so einfach.
Ja mal sehen, was mein TüV-ler sagt... hab erstmal 60mm Spurverbreiterung bestellt, 30mm pro Rad, und dann mal in Richtung 245 oder 255er vortasten bez. Lenkeinschlag😅
@@greyknight05 Wegen der Breiteren Kästen sollte der TÜV hoffentlich nix haben. Ist ja Original zubehör. Spurplatten müssten ja eingetragen werden. Aber bei 255 auf 18" sollte es keine Probleme geben die hab ich drauf. Glaub eine einschlagbegrenzung sollte meiner nicht haben.

Die Eibach-Spurverbreiterungen kommen mit Gutachten und ja, müssen abgenommen werden, das Gutachten geht aber leider nur von Serienreifenbreiten aus... 🤔Muss er was zu sagen... Mal sehen ob 255er auf die 17Zöller passen, ich will mehr Flanke 😄
@@greyknight05 255er auf 17" da bin ich mal gespannt ob sich da was findet in der passenden Felgenbreite. Ansonsten sind die Dotz CP5 sehr schön in Kombination mit Offroad reifen.
Sieht toll aus! Hab noch eine Frage, welche verstärkte feder hinten haben sie genommen? Polar hat zwei Sorten. Mit und ohne nivomat. Ich wurde es Umrüsten nach normaler dämpfer. Aber sind die ohne nivomat passend?
@@YordiKoot Immer gerne😀 Die Nieveaumatic-Stoßdämpfee brauchen mehr Platz, darum sind die Federn anders (oval) geformt. Normale Stoßdämpfer brauchen eben die runde Federform 👍
Ola Diego, thank you😀 I mounted 30mil spacers behind each wheel now, so the car won 60mil per axle, and I am pretty happy with the result. I'm gonna show that soon.
I had to decide between changing tyre width or spacers to keep the roadwortyness. I decided for 30mm spacers per wheel, and had it certified for all standard tyre sizes. Wider tyres could have caused problems at the steering axle and I could not combine wider tyres + spacers and get it certified🤷♂️ But it works fine, both axles widened 60mm 😎 So I cept the 235/65/18" but I will change for the 235/70/17" in a few weeks.

Hey, for going offroad, first mod would be AT-tires, then you could do other shocks, side protection, liftkit, etc. It depends on what you want to do with it🙂 even an camper-mod exists😄👍

Moin, ja wenn das Bilstein-Fahrwerk rein soll, dann müssen es bei PolarParts.de die verstärkten Federn ohne Niveaumatic sein. Beste Grüße, Björn
