Ha Joy, koplamp behuizing zwart maken is een bevredigende mod he!
Awesome to see someone working on a Volvo 340, these 340s are now rare in the UK do to age and being a cheap and available drift vehicles. I had Volvo 340 1.7 GL for 5 years from 2000 to 2005 to get me though College and University studies. You are right they are very slow but I had I had a nice sound system in there and did 45K miles. I will always have a place in my heart for a Volvo 340.
Any one who works on cars is cool, you've done a great job of this using your ingenuity, the end result is fabulous! I live in the UK and have a Volvo 940, wonderful car to work on and maintain. Great video, I'd much rather watch content like this than some influencer buying their next Porsche !

Man, i used to hate the look of these when i had 240's but seeing it now they are actually pretty cool! To bad they are barely seen around anymore. Cant say i remember last time i saw one here in Norway. Btw, I also painted my headlight housings black back in 2005, and it didnt take long before everyone else did it to. It really freshes up the front!
I'm on my second 340 now. I've had three or four door handles break on me when the temperature drops to minus degrees. To solve this problem I made some handles out of steel. Unbreakable now. It's quite easy to do. Replacement handle is 75€. Scrap steel is free. You could do that. Happy motoring.
I used to have a Volvo 340GL 1.4 many years ago, it was my Grandfathers car before mine. When i first got it i really didn't like it, but it was such a good car i owned it for 10 years and it never let me down. Your's looks great with those wide wheels on 👍
Had the 1.7 GLE for a while, the Renault engine was very nice but the manual gearbox was nuts. Felt like the gear lever was linked to the gearbox via a steel girder, and the gearbox refused to be rushed. If you tried to do a fast gear change, it would refuse the gear and make your return to neutral to reflect on what you did wrong. Replaced it with a 740 2.3 GLE and didn't miss the 340 at all.

Oh nice! Someome did this on my Lexus IS 250, after some extremely heavy rain, i was left with a headlight with 3 liters of water in it. Apparently some headlight have a seal that is hard to get sealed back. I’m glad it worked on your car! It looks nice 🤩
you can buy sealants in most shops, if for some reason you cant find things for a car household plumbing sealants work too however I dont recommend using those for engine parts or metal in general I buy mine in local China stores, its' dirt cheap and works well, the same thing in a auto shop would cost me an arm and a leg and not sure if the quality would be any different (both things are made in China anyway)
Was in 2005. Was wel een toffe eerste auto☝️😅🇺🇸
Nice work. Those headlights opened real easy with some heat, it's usually way more work (sticky mess), but I guess that's the advantage of old cars that have had some time to dry up 🙂 You should remove the bumper and any other black plastic trim and try to use the heatgun on them, works wonders to revive some older plastics and a proper black bumper would be an easy and cheap way to make the car look a bit nicer.
even on a s40 from 1999 the trim would look faded grey after a while , but i am contemplating spraying it instead of using a heatgun to "refresh" the plastics , as when to fast or to slow you will get an uneven look !

Still have my 1994 Volvo 855 from new. Your car (previously a DAF)was an affordable entry into Volvo ownership. Our local dealership’s main sales were of your model. With the introduction of its replacement the 440:there was a huge price increase. The dealership changed to Renault as that was the engine supplier for both the 340 and 440. 👍🏻🇳🇱✌️🏴

Nice CRX! ❤
Ah nice to see a 340 , here in uk it was my first car in the same colour back in 93’, blue cloth interior over silver a Renault powered 1.7 engine i believe , I don’t find it attractive now but I only watched it as you attracted me to watch this video 😅 . Oh btw the crx is cool I had also a white EF civic👍
Ahhh you've had such cool cars!! Hehe and thanks for still watching my video even though the 340 isn't really your thing 😁
Renault 😢
Looks great and very doable
Welk bouwjaar is jouwe? 😄
Steht dir sehr gut!
My 1st car was one of these in the UK, same colour and was a 1.4 special edition. Solid rubber spoiler that was not needed, but comfortable heated seats. The rust ate it so had to go.
Here in Sweden we have always looked down on the 300-series :D but you have changed that. I kinda want one now =)
Woohoo!! Haha yeah I get it cause they're not real Volvo's. But they are lots of fun anyways 😊😄
It looks great!
Cool car -I had 343 DL CVT automatic.Try in photoshop black spokes on wheels and polished minus on rims-think would look great.Oh and volvo letters on rear mudflaps with white marker.Maybe also to apply slightly tinted foil on rear lights...aaand maybe body coloured outside mirror housings.Nice little detail upgrade you did btw.
I have done this to my 240 turbo aswell it makes a great difference... great gob 👍🍦
That's awesome, thanks!! 😁
Reliable and stylish daily. I like it!
nice work, cool wheels on the Volvo, but the Honda CRX super cool rare great car -
Je bent wel een doorzetter..goed gedaan
Volvos and Hondas 😍 my favourites 😂
Not me, mechanical engineer, 35 sitting tucked in with a blanket, eating chocolate while watching a beautiful lady working on a car.... you caught my attention. apreciate your work and enthusiasm
Very cool cars ❤
Yeaah thanks! 😊
Leuke video en een mooi subtiel resultaat!
My Dad had one thanks for the memories
