Sanblasting the pipe then shining it up with a wire wheel works great. Gets rid of all the rust in seconds.
To get the dent out fill it up with water and freeze it.

Hay bud get a little C clamp for that bench buffer wheel. Make working with it a lot easier. Or a couple bolts. Also can put water in the pipe and freeze it will pop out the dents just don’t leave it freeze too long or it might crack.

Use a dremel with a wire brush on it to get the stuff you didn't get with sanding

If u make a fire and bake the pipe under the coals the carbon build up with come out, but you should of just had it vapor honed
Can you do this with a 4 stroke header also ? I have an 08 Rmz 450 and the header was rusty a bit in the front I used scotch pads and aluminum cleaner but the pipe is still a blackish in the front, my header is titanium
Maxima MPPL on the frame swing arm and exhaust then use wire brush you put on drill

Steel wool works the best to remove rust
Just get a wire brush for your grinder it works really well
something i did was take 0000 steel wool and diet coke for the pipe and it took everything off i needed off

On the bend of the pipe try a flap polish disc on a grinder the flexibility from the disc should allow you to get into that elbow maybe. Jus sayinnn killer content tho✌️

Bought some of that mag wheel cleaner, your right it does smell really bad.
should try CLR 28 oz Calcium, Rust & Lime Remover Multi Purpose Surface Cleaner CL-12 I saw it on G9garage (rm 250 q&a) and looked like it worked well on rusted pipes (but not sure on rust that has bonded itself to the metal)

Get some white vinegar and soak it in that to get rid of the rust. Plus you need to get a bench grinder stand you will be able to put more pressure on and not Chase the grinder round the table. Love watching your vids all ways find myself looking on eBay after at 2 stroke mx bikes 😂🤣 after seeing your vids

Miratic acid does the trick got it from Lowe’s or wallmart
soak it in vinegar and a little muratic acid for a bit and the rust will wipe right off

The reason the pump in the parts cleaner won't work is because your fluid level isn't high enough for the pump to pull fluid. Just add some water.
When I got my rm250 the pipe on it was rusty to all hell. Let it soak in a vinegar bath for a day or so, then immediately throw it into a bucket with baking soda to neutralize the acid in the vinegar so the pipe doesn’t yellow. It was night and day difference after that. Some elbow grease and scotch brite and it turned out to be a nice pipe, the pitting from the rust did some damage but it cleaned up really good. Its on my instagram, if you want to see just let me know and I’ll tell you my insta, dont wanna self advertise my shit on your channel lol

for what your time is worth as well as products used. id spend the 225$ for a new one haha. but props to putting the work in.

Why didn’t u repack it
By now, you should already know that the smoke that came out when you were getting hot is a sign that that exhaust needs to be decarbonised.
You should have done it before starting the cleaning process.
Place the torch on the exhaust inlet side, and let it burn until smoke and sparks stop coming out.
Looking to decarbonize two-stroke exhaust. (poorly written sory, google won't let me write correctly).
Do this in the late afternoon, and film it, it will give a spectacular recording.
Be careful not to overheat the exhaust.
