This is a video in my new Core Concepts series -- designed to provide students and lifelong learners a brief discussion focused on one main concept from a classic philosophical text and thinker.
This Core Concept video focuses on Albert Camus' early work, The Myth of Sisyphus, and specifically on his discussion in part 2, which develops a sort of ethics confronting the absurd in human existence. This ethics would be developed within the scope of a person's life, and would not be reducible to universal rules or principles.

Thanks. More a short video than a full class, though

What are your thoughts on philosophy via fiction as an entry to the field? I wanted to ask since Camus is one of the few who does both. Im also thinking of Dostoevsky and Kafka as examples.

I think there are many ways into philosophy. Some are good for some people. Others for others
