For help: I weigh 150lbs. I run yellow (85a) cone boardside, and blue (78a) cone roadside. GREAT for carving, flatland freeride, sliding, etc. great universal, turny, low speed, flatland, etc setup My "tighter" setup is Red (90a) barrel boardside, and switch my 95a yellow cone to roadside. It is very noticeably tight at loosest tightening of your kingpin nut. but not too bad. good for anything needing stability or tightness. slides okay. haven't downhilled on it yet. but you can try it.
Thanx o much you literally just help me figure out my speed wobble on my electric longboard thing goes 27 mph but I get sum nasty wobbles ima try what u said.thanx my bro
Harder bushings will make it harder to turn, while softer bushings will turn easier. Let us know how much you weigh and we can help you dial in a better bushing setup.
@magiclongboarder Personal favorite is barrel/barrel. Just make sure you get the right set up for your weight/style. It took me a couple different tries to get it all worked out! -nick
I just got two sets of Eliminators (90a). You mentioned the tight fit that two eliminators would have on one truck. I believe you! I had the hardest time getting both to fit on a Paris 180. I was wondering if this is normal or if there is a tip on getting them to fit easier. I got the knut to catch on the kingpin, just barely, and this was after I I really had to push down hard to get both bushings on there. Is this normal? Thanks for the video!
It would but you'd loose alot of lean, the turn would come from the roadside cone. Although thats a great way to reduce wheelbite but maintain turn compared to a barrel/ barrel setup :)
What about the new Venom Barrical (Freeride) bushings? Accidentally bought barricals instead of cones but I actually like the barricals alot. Any significant ups and downs about em? (Ridin 85a Barricals roadside and 89a blood orange cones boardside on Caliber 50s and Comet Takeover)
Will eliminators work if I want to DH, but also want to loosen my trucks up and freeride a little bit? (Landyachtz Switchblade, Bear 852's, 82a Mini Zombie Hawgs). Thanks!
Im 110lbs, and would like to know which duros should go boardside and which roadside. I wanted a barrel boardside and a super carve roadside to keep a clean balance.
@magiclongboarder Pretty much any of the trucks used in this video will all work great for everything. If you would like an even more specific breakdown feel free to message me. -Nick
what bushing would you recommend for the 50 caliber trucks on my 2012 wolfshark with These Wheels? I have them on the shortest wheelbase, and don't want any more wheelbite
I have a tan tien, i want to go down decent hills (even though its not a downhill board) plus i want to freeride, I weigh 52 kg /116 lbs???????? could u give me some insight into which bushings i should use plus which to put roadside/boardside????
hey, i have an apex 40 with paris adam coltons and abec 11 flashbacks. i am having some trouble with sliding, when i go to slide the wheels usually pick up off the ground and i end up riding on 2 wheels, but on my friends apex 37 with original s8 trucks sliding is much easier but the 40 was made more for freeride; so i was just wondering if you could help me out and tell me what trucks/bushings would be best for sliding or if i just need to change the bushings. Thanks.
I weigh in at 195-200 lbs (I bodybuild so my weight fluxuates bepending on the time of year) if Im running a comet voodoo doll with some caliber 44's what do I need to run in terms of durometer if I want to dabble some mild downhill. (25-35mph)
I have a set of 200mm Surf Rodz RKP's (adjustable Hanger) What would you recommend for Downhill/Slide/Crusing? I am really stuck. Im thinking Barrel-Barrel and im 12stone. What Duro Would i Need????
I weigh 250, should I run a pink dh barrel boardside and green dh barrel roadside in the front, and in the back a green elim boardside and a pink roadside?
Hey, I'm 130 lbs and I'm thinking about getting the eliminators for my 44 Caliber trucks. I do downhill mostly but i want to get some stand-up slides in there too. Can you help me out please?
I am riding bear trucks for my apex 34. I really wanted 80a o tang nipples but they do not fit into bear trucks. What would you recommend that would be most similar to 80a o tang nipples for venom? please respond.
Hey guys, I weigh 132lbs and i would like to do downhill only but not faster then 50 mph. What durometer should I take? (barrel roadside and eliminator boardside)
anyone know the bottom two boards in the rack in the backround in the video on youtube on the internet on my screen on my table on my floor in my house on my street on my block in my district in my town in my county in my state in my time zone in my state in my region in my continent on earth. so any way does anyone know the bottom two boards in the backround on the rack?
fantastic video. ton of info and cleared up a lot of stuff about bushings for me. thanks
Nicely presented Nick!
@Hjerpe90
pumpkin ones were offered in old bear trucks. They have since been mostly phased out. The pumpkin was made out of old 83a venom thane.

@chiipdee
I would only recommend cone cone if you are carving/cruising with no serious hills.
--Nick
i got the blood red barrels and bright orange cones for my bears on my 2011 wolfshark. works great for slow freeride
I love learning this stuff.
Good to hear!
so when you say cone barrel did you mean on the base of the truck have a barrel and the hanger have a cone? very informational thankyou :)
thanks I was confused on what the different bushings do
duro means hardness of the urathane, so higher the number the harder it is. That being said 90a/90a barrel should work well for your weight.
Can you do a review on the venom free ride bushing
@skimmingandstuff
Yeah they give you a very defined center point making you have more stability.
I went to that hill in the intro a while ago when I was in seattle/ Lakewood it's sooo sick too bad I didn't skate

Insta-subscribe. You guys are great help for longboard starters like me, I really needed this kind of info :D
What would be the best setup for sliding under 25mph? Harder bushings or softer? What combination, cone cone, cone barrel, so on so on?
What about the new Venom Barrical (Freeride) bushings? Accidentally bought barricals instead of cones but I actually like the barricals alot. Any significant ups and downs about em? (Ridin 85a Barricals roadside and 89a blood orange cones boardside on Caliber 50s and Comet Takeover)
I have caliber 50s and I mainly use my board for freeride and I don't know if I should get riptide or venom bushings
red barrel (90a) boardside, yellow (85a) cone roadside.
Will eliminators work if I want to DH, but also want to loosen my trucks up and freeride a little bit? (Landyachtz Switchblade, Bear 852's, 82a Mini Zombie Hawgs). Thanks!

@magiclongboarder

what bushing would you recommend for the 50 caliber trucks on my 2012 wolfshark with These Wheels? I have them on the shortest wheelbase, and don't want any more wheelbite

Hey um I have bear 852 trucks and I want some bearings that help me slide and so really nice carving....
I am riding bear trucks for my apex 34. I really wanted 80a o tang nipples but they do not fit into bear trucks. What would you recommend that would be most similar to 80a o tang nipples for venom? please respond.

What is a good venom bushing for sliding?
which is best setup for downhill slides through mountians
If my weight is of 55 kilograms which one should i use?
I want it for freeride and smooth slides

do bear trucks come with the cylinder ones?
What about the venom freeride barricle bushings?
85a barrel roadside and 87a barrel boardside, or even 89a boardside
I'd say its a little bit slower. Id do a combo of barrels and/or elims for faster stuff. stay clear of cones.
what setup would be the best for sliding
What about eliminator board side and cone roadside
