You are so nice. I think you guys were taken advantage of. Hope the items you did get will be very profitable. If you want to go back, don’t do it unless the son had checked everything out and takes what he wants. He needs to go in the attic.
When I do picks like that, I always negotiate as I go so I don't end up picking out all the good stuff for someone and then they end up keeping and selling it themselves. It's like working for free.

Had a guy running a garage sale last year had boxes and boxes and boxes full of action figures he said any action figure in those boxes $1 looked threw them in over 100 degree heet for hour and a half ended up keeping street sharks, those guys that have the holographic screen in there chest from the 80s. Idk bunch of good shit when we went to pay he took litterally every item with value. I truly believe he got me to work for free picking out his shit
I would have the Aunt and her kids bring down what they want to sell. I wouldn't unpack their stuff for free.

Happened to me once, so I didnt buy anything and I even put everything back and buried in the hot attic here in texas. I heard from my friend when they tried digging it back out it took them a week and almost had to go to the hospital because of heat stress and amount of time they had to dig. From then on I always haggle or pay as I go so they cant take it back. Im happy to explain what things are and values and what I will make off it, but im not wasting my time to go dig through others things so they can keep the good stuff, they should have done that before.
Yeah. I didn’t think that was nice of them to make Josh dig through that hot attic just to move stuff to the garage for them.
It happens, definitely a lesson to be learned that on Private Picks make sure what's being picked through the owner of it is there.

Everything you pulled down were incredibly awesome finds! But I wouldn't waste my time going back. They pulled a bait and switch on you and that just isn't right.
That was a nice haul until that guy decided he needed all his childhood toys back. I hope your friends will talk to their aunt and make sure you get a better deal - if you go back. Another person commented that you would make much more on this RUclips video so who cares if you got taken advantage of. It’s still the principle of the thing. Picking through old stuff is basically your job, so you should get paid in money or products. Love your videos and your integrity when faced with these situations. You always do the right thing and that’s why you are so successful!

I have seen this in my life in my family, and i guarantee you that this is what happened in this video. If you don't want your sh*t sold, get it tf out of someone elses home.

I went to my first Goodwill grand opening today in Salisbury, NC. It was wild and crazy but I found a few things. I was thinking about Josh and Haley the entire time. I’ve watched those videos in the past!
Wish you guys were around when I was clearing out my great grandparent's house in 2015! There were so many old things from the 30's-70's. They were hoarders too so there was a lot of random stuff about. Was only 14 at the time so I didn't really care to see what they had, but there was a lot of old radios and stuff since my great grandfather fixed radios back then. Ended up throwing a lot of that stuff away or giving it away. ):

I would have charged them for the time of digging/ picking the good stuff out...they set you up because they lacked the knowledge. You were used and your abilities were abused. Send them a bill for labor....it's legal.

The guy knew he’s a reseller so it’s kind of like he did the job for him by looking to find his most valuable things, say no you can’t have that that and that, then sell them himself! No point for their friends to say they can look through the attic…

People are commenting on how they think Josh got ripped off but it wasn't Josh's friend's fault. They both knew going in his friend's aunt might not sell anything. Was it disappointing when she asked her son if he wanted to keep anything and he said yes? Of course! Now Josh knows to make sure the seller (if they're not on site) is positive they want to sell everything before he goes to look and dig thru boxes. It was still an awesome video and I loved seeing all the vintage toys!
