I would like to clarify my feelings for Anakin: as many of you may know, I have watched the saga in a peculiar "machete" order: 1,2,4,5, and 3. Next one will be 6,7,8 and 9. In episodes 1 and 2, I meet Anakin as a child, and later on as a young HANDSOME man. Despite his impulsive personality, I liked him. He's passionate. In episode 4, I discover he died. But it wasn't until episode 5 that I discovered he did not really die, because he's actually Darth Vader. I always saw him as a good guy, but different than the rest (because of the high concentratons of midichlorians, perhaps). It's, as I always write down, my first time. I did not see the series, I have no further information than what I saw until now. And knowing he is Darth Vader while watching Episode 3, and seeing how he slowly turns into him, it makes me angry, if I dare to say. I LOVED Anakin, and by the comments I understand Clone Wars may help me understand his decisions (¿?). By reading your comments, I felt the saga does not explain well his side of the story, making him seem "too innocent" in most of the cases, which should not be normal in a Jedi (in my humble opinion). So I admit I got very angry with him. I feel dissapointed. Again, I LOVED him. And it broke my heart. I thank you for all the clarifies through this journey, you have no idea how much it means to me ♥

The Release Order 4,5,6,1,2,3, The Machete Order 4,5,1,2,3,6, and now The Duaffy Order 1,2,4,5,3,6. Maybe even the best order for first time viewers. Talk about a happy accident.

I totally get what you mean! Anakin from the very start has always let his emotions drive him too much which ultimately was his downfall. The same emotions that drove him to kill the sand people in ep 2 was the same emotions that drove him here. The jedi council was also problematic, it made me angry that the continuously gave him the exact opposite of what he needed in this movie. Yoda telling him to let go/repress his feelings only made things worse. It makes sense when you think about it but imo it happened so fast in the movie, almost too fast.

ROTS rips your heart out and for many of us who have watched Star Wars from the very beginning we knew the ultimate end of the prequels. We just didnt know the details. It still ripped our hearts out. Just discovered you today and have loved your reactions. Dont listen to anyone telling you not to watch any of the films. Many people would have said the same about the prequels. I for one as someone who has loved Star Wars since I was 10 and walked into a theater in 1977 for the 1st show and didnt leave until theater closed I love the sequel trilogy. Has my favorite character in all of Star Wars and my favorite Star Wars film of all time. My experience is people new to Star Wars love the sequels and people who dont demand the sequels tell the story they want also love them, This is much easier for someone new to Star Wars. I cant wait to watch your reactions to the other films and hopefully the TV series as well.

i have always thought that due to Padme's connection to the Force (she had two really strong in the Force babies inside her) that it was her lifeforce keeping Anakin alive. I also have thought that her "there is still good in him" imprinted on Luke and was an echo in the Force. Padme's sadness is what imprinted on Leia.

This was the reason why George Lucas had had meant, in the special features footage talking about how Anakin became Vader, when he had said that this made Vader more of a victim than a villain given the things that he did:
      Decapitating Dooku
Cutting off Mace's hand in order to keep him from killing Palpatine
Killing all of the Jedi in the Temple, including the younglings
It was evident that he didn't really want to do these things by what he'd said after 2 of these events:
      Beheading Dooku:
"I shouldn't have done that, he was defenseless and Jedi don't kill prisoners"
When he'd cut off Mace's hand:
      "What have I done??"

Anakin's fall was just like Faust - the story of Faust, he made a deal with the devil and it didn't turn out... exactly how he expected. Same for Anakin. He turned to save Padme, and once there, he caused her death, cementing him in the dark side of the force, exactly as the Emperor wanted. The only thing was the Emperor didn't expect his new apprentice to end up in a black iron lung thanks to Obi-Wan. So he started looking for another apprentice, Luke.

I'm an original Star Wars kid. I was 9 years old when Star Wars first came out in 1977. Only in the last year have I even known about the 'machete' order for viewing the movies. I watched one other RUclipsr view Star Wars for the first time using the recommended 'machete' order. As I watched them react to the plot reveals, it made sense to me to stop watching at Episode 2 and jump straight to Episode 4. The mystery of what happened remained intact as they watched 4 and learned about Vader in 5. Then, as this RUclipsr returned back to watching Episode 3 after watching 4 & 5, it was then I realized for the first time that the ending to Episode 3 where Padme has her twins turns into a HUGE and potentially unexpected reveal that has mind blowing potential to the viewer. Having watched these movies as they hit theaters so many years ago the fact that Padme had twins was known and expected. It didn't have the emotional PUNCH that watching these movies with the 'machete' order brings with it. I'm now a huge fan of the 'machete' order. I totally agree watching these movies from 1,2, 4,5, 3,6,7,8,9 is truly the best way for a new to Star Wars viewer to take in these movies. They'll enjoy them much more!

Palpatine was using Force Stealth to hide from the Jedi so they never dreamed there was a Sith Lord among them. This is one of the BEST & most emotional reactions to ANY movie I have seen in a very long time! Don't ever apologize for this reaction. Unlike the vast majority of us who saw this on opening night in 2005, you had NO IDEA what you were in for! We knew what the story would be, we just didn't know the details of how. Since you have seen all these films in the order you have your innocence has remained intact all the way. You didn't know before watching any SW film that Anakin is Vader, most still do even if they have never seen SW. So you have a very unique situation very few can claim they have. And I LOVE how invested you are. You understand what you are seeing, you interpret everything as you should, but still with the fantastic innocence of yours. Most of us knew how Return of the Jedi, ep 6, ends before we saw this film! You do NOT! And that is, honestly, a blessing! I always want to cry when I watch Ep 3 but I just don't. Your reaction helped me cry because your innocent, unique reaction moved me to that place I needed to go. Thank you. If I had the power to show George Lucas himself your reaction I dare to bet, without knowing the man personally, that he would be happy with your reaction because you react exactly as he wished we would! If you reacted this strongly to this tragedy in Ep 3 I think there's a chance Return of the Jedi might end up as your favorite. It sure has always been my fav & I always knew the story all along in advance. I reacted especially to a comment of yours when you ask out loud to Anakin why he trusts Palpatine when he is using Anakin to murder people that also trusted Palpatine. Keep that very much in mind & memory going into Return of the Jedi! Also, if Ep 3 shows what hate & fear can do to people, Ep 6 will show very much the opposite! It will show the power of courage, love & compassion! SW fans are the most passionate fans in the world for a reason! Ep 3 gave you a good portion as to why. Ep 6 will perhaps make that even clearer. I hope you will like Ep 6, I have strong indications that you will. And I can't wait for you to see one of the best conclusions in movie history.

The Emperor is the one that killed Padme. He used that Force power he spoke about earlier that Plageius taught him to keep Anakin alive during his operation. He drained Padme's life force and gave it to Anakin. This is why the droids couldn't detect what was killing her and said physically she was fine. This is also why he even bothered to lie to Darth Vader about the nature of Padme's death.

The cry Palpatine did before he attacked the Jedi was "Force-Sream" its a Sith Power to weaken your enemys. Also is Palpatine is the strongest in over 3000year. The "old" Sith haven been overpowered as F***, but Pure strength Palpatine is second or third of all time.
Also he "wanted" Anakin to be his Akolyth (Sith word for apprentice) he nevere trusted him, thats why he send him to fight Obi Wan. Palpatine knew, Vader would be wounded in the fight, to weaken his force powers. Also his suit, was purposly made to make him feel uneasy. The legs and boots were tilt to the front, so Vade had to balance every step "This is no standing". The Ear implants sounded like he was under water, plus he heared everything at the same volume, he could not seperate on one noise "This is no hearing". The legs have been made of sharp edged panels, so his pants would tie in, if he moves to fast. All the servos and lifesupport system was so loud and painfull, he was never able to get some rest. The suit was not "electric proof" to make sure, Vader could never use Force Lightning or use it against him.
