    Thomas Sowell told a story with a question that Abraham Lincoln once asked an audience:"How many legs does a dog have if you consider its tail as another leg? The answer is four - just because you call the tail a leg doesn't make it a leg". Truth matters and there is absolute truth regardless of how people "identify".

    I agree with Allie’s recommendation to not shop at Target for the month of June. I worked in the fitness industry for several years. Clients that had unreasonable expectations for weight loss, or used an all-or-nothing approach, rarely had long term success. Experience has taught me that it’s best to set smaller, more achievable goals. Short term success is more likely to lead to long term success.

      I agree with others who are saying that this cannot just be a one month deal. Remember, this is not the first time Target has been at the forefront of similar issues.
      I'm still shocked (probably shouldn't be, I just try to be hopeful) that Target has partnered with someone claiming to be a satanist and is selling this person 's creations.
      I would really look into all of it, and ask about other stores nearby that you can feel better giving money to. :)

      I used to get upset when my manager at a store I worked at in Chicago would hound me to crank out the rainbow cakes because he could sell them like hotcakes.... What's really sad is that before all of this stuff blew up, I used to get compliments on my rainbow color designs I'd make on cakes in various forms.. ribbons etc... People loved them for their kids and even regular rainbows for Noah's Ark or a pot of gold .. I hate the way they've hijacked the rainbow

      @Nineteen-Eighty-Four Год назад +23

      @@annabanabananaso you know everyone on the planet's name? If you're talking, you use pronouns. You don't say "Sarah went to the back then Sarah made a sandwich after Sarah went to the bathroom". That's weird. You mention a name then also use pronouns, instead of repeating a person's name. We don't need to change our entire language structure for some confused people.

    • @annabanabanana
      @annabanabanana Год назад +10

      @@Nineteen-Eighty-Four when talking to their face which I stated above, I don’t use a pronoun. You talk to them by name. No I don’t know everyone’s name but not sure why you would know their preferred pronouns before their name. Even still, if I didn’t know their name I still wouldnt say hey she can you pass that paper? Or hey they what’s your name ( because for some reason I know your pronoun before I know your name?) 😂 what you’re referring to is what someone calls you by when you’re not around which honestly who cares because you’ll never know to be offended by it in the first place. The whole thing is an attention thing which is why a lot of people feel so awkward playing into it and they shouldn’t have to if they don’t want to.

    • @waltermh111
      @waltermh111 Год назад +13

      @@annabanabanana You seem to be out of touch with what is happening, so I will explain.
      The pronoun thing extends to more than just pronouns.
      For example, a man wants to be called she/her. But that also means you need to say yes Maam.
      Yes Maam is not a pronoun but its a package deal.
      And why would you know their pronoun? They will either make sure you know at first sight or as soon as you use a pronoun they dont like.
      And a common politeness is to say "Hey miss or mr, can you pass the paper?" Oops, you misgendered them, a pronoun violation. Yes, its not a pronoun, but I don tthink you get it. They arent rational. Its all related to what they consider to be gendering, so once a man says he should be called she, that means he wants to be seen as a real woman, and that covers all of your language.
      But I dont know why you are obsessed with the to your face discussions. You work in a small kitchen in Chik Fil A and somebody says the guy is going to do something "he went to the bathroom" and the guy hears it and claims he was misgendered because they called him a him instead of a her. Didnt matter if they werent speaking to him.
      Or many videos online of customers claiming misgendering and pronoun misuse. Teachers being fired for not using the right pronouns of students.
      You seem to think they arent trying to control our language when we are away from them but yes, that is part of the problem. They are trying to control language even when they arent around or arent being spoken to, as well as when they are being spoken to. And people are fired for it, bullied, attacked, etc... and not everybody can brush these things off as easily as you do.

      The irony of your comment makes me chuckle. I mean this in all kindness. The context of that passage is about Gods people who in their own wisdom and arrogance can’t tell evil from good. I would apply this passage to most of the American Church today. I have never seen more people so sure they’re right while being so ignorant at the same time. I have watched the Church produce so many weak Pastors and teachers it’s very sad to see.
      America and the West are collapsing in real time before us as the nation is broke, thoroughly corrupt and weak and yet the topic is about Chick fill a. Lol.
      Right now the US has no money to pay its bills unless they vote to print more out of thin air. They’ve given away all their extra oil reserves to China and military supplies to Ukraine leaving the country weak. At the same time trying to start a war with China and exacerbate the war with Russia. If China actually invades Taiwan and the US got involved it would run out of ammo in less than a week with the current levels. Less than a week to destroy America if it doesn’t go bankrupt first. But let’s keep talking about Chick fill a. What a gong show the Church has become.

Please teach the younger generations what is good and true and the wonderful peace and joy that will be theirs if they submit themselves to God. Faith, family, Bible believing teaching/preaching churches who obey God, love Him and each other, these are things we must cherish and though we will be persecuted by the world we will be rewarded by God in this life and the next as we enjoy our fellowship with Him forever. Don't get me wrong, Allie, I agree with you in your stance about the reproductive industry; however, as a child who was adopted as a baby by a loving Christian married couple, I wish that you would speak more about the redemptive nature of adoption as well as the wounds that happen in the adoption process. Don't forget, adoption reflects salvation through Christ as well and it often means a child can be saved from situations of abuse, neglect, or inability to provide a child's needs for a stable home with their physical needs being met. Plus,a couple's decision to adopt is not just a whim and there are parents who adopt (including mine) who do whatever they can to consider the birth mother in the process and don't just put their desire to be parents above all thoughts of anyone else.

    When speaking of inclusion, please let us remember that there is a whole group of people to who Jesus says we SHOULD be partial and that is the disabled/special needs community. Our voice has been drowned out by those who want to pursue their passions or use their race to be racist toward everyone else. This is the complete opposite reason that the disabled need inclusion. I don't see this talked about now because the message has been hijacked by the left for their ungodly agendas.

    So far, what you read from Chick-Fil-A's website pages did not say anything about accepting or celebrating alternative lifestyle choices. It was all about giving everyone a fair chance to thrive and develop and achieve success within the company. This company historically has stuck with traditional values and is the only restaurant I know of which is never open on Sunday. All of this makes me think that they want to acheive a good "CEI" rating by putting all these "diversity" statements on their website, without actually compromising their values. In today's business world it's starting to look like every major corporation will need to have a good CEI rating.... I think they may be a few steps ahead by "appearing" to go along with all this.... and that's why they have a DEI officer-- to navigate this ever-changing business world while NOT compromising..... Just brainstorming..... I won't be skipping my Chick fil-A, but I will be staying out of Target I hope for the whole summer. :)

    I think y’all need to slow your roll on chick-fil-A. This happened like two years ago, at least look into it first.
    I’m all for the boycott on Target because they are literally targeting children.
    Chick-fil-A’s corporate headquarters doesn’t speak for each individual franchise, another words each Franchise has their own ideas and they don’t necessarily agree with corporate on everything, they may have to follow certain policies to a degree but each individual franchise has owners that disagree with corporate and I’m not willing to boycott them all. My son works at a Chick-fil-A and the owner of that location is a genuine Christian family man. He has owned his business for a long time and when corporate started with the DEI he didn’t agree with it but he needed to keep running his business. Just something to consider.

Chick-fil-A has a corporate level, yes but every restaurant is operated by its own operator, general manager, and board of directors.
