I've learned my saree draping just looking at my mother while she's draping. One day I attended my cousin marriage and no one isn't around to help me in draping. I just remembered how my mother does and blindly followed it. 2 hours later when my mom has seen me in saree she was awestruck and after knowing that I did all by myself she couldn't believe it because she never taught me how to drape. Then I said to her "I've learned it by looking at you". Everyone goes through this phase. I was 17 back then and now am 23. I can carry saree soo gracefully and my mom still wonders from whom I've learned. When was the first time that you wore a saree Prerna? Want to hear your story and your love for sarees.
