    I've noticed that Steven Mead has a sense of humor. I'd like it to stay that way.

    I am in love with his sound. Such clarity in the high register. It's simply beautiful.

      The tone quality he has at that high of a pitch is unfathomable. I can't imagine ever being able to play like he does

    Tout simplement extraordinaire. Beaucoup d'autodérision pour un musicien d'une telle virtuosité. Mon rêve, vous rencontrer à nouveau en Belgique dans un de nos Brass Band. Merci Maître Mead. You're the best one!!

    This guy has / is the perfect face for virtuoso Euphorium. Was LOLers by 6:00. And he had the restraint/ good taste not to go for the easy fart jokes for the low notes at the end. Class act all the way. Our classical recitals were so lame(mostly)

    I played French horn in Jr. Hi band till I got bashed in mouth in basketball. switched to baritone. Not allowed to play band and football Jr. & Sr. year (low IQ choice ... played football). Then on to Texas A&M band played flugelhorn. 50+ years ago. Said that to say this. The beautiful tone Steven Mead gets is heavenly. Thrills my soul. Wow. I love the sound of this instrument, and his technical ability is genius+.

    Amazing! Always wanted to play brass, but don't have any talent. This man is the finest I've ever heard.

    • @johnries5593
      @johnries5593 8 лет назад +3

      Probably you don't know if you have any aptitude for brass because you haven't tried. So you might want to pay a visit to your local music store, rent a horn that appeals to you, take some lessons and see how it goes. And don't worry about making terrible noises at the beginning; everybody does.
      Stephen Mead is very good, though as a full time professional euphonist, he occupies a rather unique niche.

    • @worinof

      Same here, im also wanted to play Euphonium and possibly mastering it. But because of the high cost of the instrument makes it unaffordable for me, also because i have an interest in arts so i spent most of my goods for that.
      So the thing that i could do now is learning how to read notes even without any instruments

    • @johnries5593

      I've never played this on the bari (I don't play trombone), but I have to think that this would be considerably easier to deal with with valves than with a slide.
